1 The Chaotic Battle

Explosions resounded in the golden city and cannon fire is heard and energy blasts light up the once peaceful plaza. Someone is crying out in pain, badly burned and crawling on the blistering sand. Urgency seems to be present in his eyes as he desperately crawls in the direction of the gigantic gleaming pyramid. The pyramid has already stood for thousands of years, yet looks brand new.

"They have to know before it's too late," the man says as he desperately crawls. He crawls for 10 more feet barely alive with bodies surrounding him when he hears a voice from behind. His heartbeat quickens before a knife is slid between his ribs into his heart. Meanwhile, the cannon fire intensifies and the city is set aflame with smoke smothering half the city.

An old man talks to a handsome young prince sitting under a tarp. The young man had a radiant appearance which contrasted his violent surroundings. His arrogant appearance suggested everything was beneath him, as his blood red eyes smolder. He was looking at the city with an expression of childlike joy as his delicate face broke into a cruel smile. He asked the old man, " Was the Orphan Spy taken care of?" The old man nodes and his face remained expressionless knowing if this man wanted his life it could be extinguished at a whim. Fear seemed to swell within him when he saw the smile. He knew the prince's habit to kill for fun and while he was a loyal servant willing to die for his king he really didn't want to die pointlessly at the hands of the Blood Prince.

The boyish prince smiled thinking, 'Humans are so hopeless. I wish I could just torture and kill a few every day.' He considers killing the old man next to him for no other reason but his presence but reigns in his bloodlust saving it for his family's mortal enemy.

In the central pyramid, a man with infinitely old eyes looks upon his city and silently mourns the lives lost pointlessly before a flash of indifference overcomes him. He vanishes instantly from sight and reappears in his throne room where a woman with matching ageless eyes looks at him as he says " It's time. The Ibex family has come."
