35 Sneak Attack

As Calvis began to decompose, he felt regret for all the things that he had failed to do while still alive. His thoughts moved faster than those of others in similar situations. He remembered the loneliness that the worm had felt in that void. Calvis realized that he was truly alone. His father was in a different galaxy ruling over a space his family had been trapped in for the last 100 interstellar year.

All Calvis had for company was the worm that he had fused with. At least there was another being that understood his loneliness. As he thought about whether or not there was an afterlife for Parthians, a reaction took place. A cold rush was felt eliminating the excruciating pain he experienced just seconds before. The cold rush overtook the beam of energy feeding off of the chaotic fluctuations meant to kill normal Parthians.

Wings manifested on Calvis's back more massive than ever before. They seemed to encompass half the planet and have a physical presence that suggested they were more real than before. Calvis felt his wings spread and felt a rush of something he had never felt before.

Now he was going into a state of nirvana that was unlike anything that he felt before. His heartbeat valiantly hammered faster in his chest. There was an increase in the blood that flowed in Calvis's veins as his blood changed from its original red to a golden tint.

Calvis felt new appendages attach to his nervous system. He felt a pair of physical extensions that were previously just energy become a part of himself. A region that he could not withdraw from sight even if Calvis wanted to any more than he could make his legs disappear.

The elders looked up in fear as they felt similar to Calvis something they never knew before, a bone gnawing fear that they could not escape. All they saw was gnawing darkness that blocked their view of the stars and escaped their view of reality. They had prepared the weapon earlier just for Calvis after looking back at their extensive database and finding sudden action could be used to take down Parthians. They felt like they were drowning in fear as Calvis awakened from his shock and pressuring them and the entire population of the Xuhan planet to different degrees of intensity.

The Elders already had committed to sending their military fleet to meet Calvis, but Calvis decided to stall their function. By injecting chaotic power directly in their strange matter engines, he made them malfunction. As the ships were beginning to tilt toward the planet, they disappeared and the space surrounding the planet leaving space in its wake.

The three elders still there as projection could not hide their shocked expressions as their once mightly fleet was defeated with such ease.

They felt fear but also thought similarly, "This man is not a normal Parthian."

The first beam should have been enough to slaughter a normal Parthian instantly. They had decided to plane this attack because, after analysis, the Ai system predicted a 93% likely hood that they were dealing with a lone Parthian. A lone Parthian was something they were sure they could handle.

Looking at the lone Parthianhe Three Elders took on a determined expression as they mentally ordered the launch of the Dyson sphere planetary defense system. But before they could, communication cut off as Calvis's second batch of alphas infiltrated the launching station.

As the elders saw video pictures of this creature, they began to question their extensive data bank concerning the different species in this galaxy such a thing should not exist.

Calvis was equally surprised that the elders were able to teleport behind the defensive force field almost tailor-made for combat between Elder races.

Calvis felt a tremor in the surrounding space, which grew stronger until the Xuhan elders began to feel it too.

The Xuhan Elders looked at Calvis but seeing his expression showing confusion similar to their own; they grew even more concerned.

A snap resounded in what should be a space without sound. A sound that heard along with the appearance of a strange undefined matter glob floating toward them.

Then there was a flash before Calvis flew into a space that wasn't his own. Space inside was different from any that there ever had existed before in Parthian history. An area that separates from the universe and unattached to the creative energy projected from the universe.

The Created Energy that Parthians needed to survive was gone and instead filled with chaotic energy that they could not absorb. Chaotic energy was something used by the primordial beings that seemed to wander the old universe. These are people that no longer existed because they could not wield creative power that had protected Parthians. While more potent than Parthians, they had only the capability to destroy and so were abandoned by the surviving elders in their race to escape the collapsing universe.

Calvis, for the first time, looked shocked and scared. Fear wasn't something Parthians felt often, but the unknown had finally reared its head and what could scare Parthians more than unpredictable variables.
