11 Scope of Power

As Calvis and the Nafrite girl stepped into his pocket dimension, the Nafrite girl was shocked beyond belief. She had never seen a world like this.

Around her, there was a forest that was greener, denser, and lusher than any forest ever seen on her planet. The grass was greener in this place than on the planet she called home. In his pocket dimension, Calvis had emulated the sun and the deep azure sky of the ancient Parthian homeworld.

As a noble, Calvis had been to the Ancient lands to be registered at his birth. All noble and royal families must be registered and have their bloodline tested at birth. This rule was as old as times and much more stringent than any other law the Parthians had created.

As the Nafrite girl was still stunned and amazed at not only the luscious world around her but also how she had gotten here.

She was startled when the mysterious man asked her, " What is your name? I assume you have one."

She was momentarily amazed that he spoke fluently in her native language despite being of an obviously different species.

" My name is Talsia. I am casteless." The last part she said with a hint of resentment.

"My name is Calvis Ibex of the Parthian Empire's minor nobility."

"What is the Parthian Empire and where are we?"

Calvis looked at her vexed expression with amusement while he thought of the best way to answer the question.

"We are in a space that we call a private pocket dimension. Everything that you see around you was created by me. All members of my race are able to do this but it takes time and practice to learn it. I didn't learn how to create a perfect pocket dimension until 1000 interstellar years into my basic education."

Talsia was stunned by the absolutely absurd concept. Before she even really thought about it she blurted out, "How big is this pocket dimension and how is it shaped?"

Seeing her innate curiosity Calvis told her, "My pocket dimension is a billion times bigger than your planet. As regards to the shape, it is malleable. I can make it round or I can make it cylindrical. I have complete control over this space and even can create various creatures. I can use pure energy and disperse it in my pocket dimension."

Talsia heard this and nearly fainted. Fear arose in her as to his purpose in taking her here. Seeing all this play out on her face, he comforts her. "I won't kill you. I have no reason to but I can't say the same for the rest of your planet. I plan to harvest them for experimental purposes."

Talsia, just beginning to relax, heard the last part and shook from the frightful and dangerous look in his red eyes that seemed to glow with glee.

Calvis introspectively realized that the parasite had changed his personality but he didn't care as long as he didn't kill any Parthians. Killing Parthians was considered a capital crime which had to be tried by the High Council Tribunal.

On Planet Vex, Renamed for its Discoverer

Exhausted Gilgamesh was born anew with a power he could not yet grasped. As he stood straight he realized that the ground was further away.

In cold amusement, Vex looked at Gilgamesh his latest creation. Like all Parthians, he was easily bored but he wanted to see what his new creation would do with the powers he granted.

Vex had formed him to make him more powerful than the average Parthian commoner. Parthian commoners could overpower almost any knows race. Seeing Gilgamesh explore his new powers dispersed his boredom. Now he could have something interesting to watch.

Vex, with a wave of his hand, threw Gilgamesh away.

"Amuse me and I shall reward you with immortality," he said to Gilgamesh

4 Hours Later

As Gilgamesh woke up he found himself laying against the large Picaer tree that was close to the village that he had spent his whole life fighting to protect.

'What was the point?' he thought as he gritted his teeth thinking about his dead wife and child.

Revenge became Gilgamesh's life purpose. He vowed to himself that he would kill every last dragon and bring humans to the top of the food chain so that future families could live in peace.
