8 New Born

Gilgamesh ran towards the dragon that was tearing apart the woman piece by piece. At this point his eyes no longer held reason. As he ran closer the dragons began to notice his presence and the dragon pinning the girl showed an apathetic face.

Gilgamesh felt bone-chilling fear as the creature showed him the dragon equivalent of a smirk. Before he even reached the dragon its tail whipped him into the wall of one of the surrounding huts. The dragon showed total disregard for whether he was alive or not as he tore off the screaming girls head and ate the rest of her body.

Fire spilled forth carelessly from the mouth of the three dragons as they flew overhead setting the village aflame and rampantly killing people. One dragon settled down by a hut at the outskirt of the village. Hew saw a woman shivering and gripping her stomach. Ruthlessly, he set her body aflame and burned down her residence thereafter.

A short time later, Gilgamesh awoke from his unconsciousness and looked around to see nothing but burned buildings and ash. Even the ground was scarred by the dragons. Everything that was growing had turned to ash, none of the crops were left.

Gilgamesh ran, disregarding his broken arm and ribs, to the outskirts of the village to his home. He ran desperately even as the shock began to fad and the pain began to set in. He became desperate as he passed the charred bodies of his kinsmen and nothing but burned homes.

He stopped in shock as he saw his charred home. On the side of the house was laying a body. He knew it was the body of his wife, the woman he loved more than anything, the woman that was going to be the mother of their child. Tears streamed down his face, as he broke down besides the body and cradled her head in his arms. His expression made him look as if he lost his soul and he felt as if his breath was taken away.

Suddenly Gilgamesh remained motionless as he was teleported to another location. He arrived in a colorful and life filled world which stood in stark contrast to the horror he just experienced before. He was unable to pay full attention because in his grief he felt as if the purpose for life had vanished and the world no matter where he was would be dull and lifeless. He thought that death would be the salvation to his misery.

Suddenly a familiar and rich voice spoke up, "I know you are sad. What happened to you was a tragedy but you can either choose to die here as nothing or you can become more powerful so that you prevent dragons from killing more of your kind. It is your choice."

Vex had decided, as the dragons indiscriminately killed, he could not stand idly by, as a race so similar to their own were in the process of completely being wiped out. He sensed some innate relationship between his race and humans.

As Gilgamesh agreed, a golden light covered his body.

Calvis asked his father what was wrong with him and his father frowned before telling him he had a royal level bloodline. His father explained to him the powers that came with having royal blood. Calvis sensed the increased power pulsing through his veins and his father gave him space to familiarize himself with them.

He didn't tell his father, but he felt pure destructive power flowing through him. Instinctively he felt he was powerful enough that he could breach other Parthians dimensional plane easily. This power was so destructive that even royals of the highest bloodline used it only in the rarest of circumstance.

Wanting to familiarize himself with his powers, he disappeared from the scaffold dimension and arrived in his own pocket dimension. When he arrived, he was shocked that his personal dimension was much bigger than before. As a lower noble, his pocket dimension used only to be the size of a dwarf class planet and was not dimensionally stable enough to carry anything other than Parthian class life.

The only thing that used to be in there was a small palace he had built himself and storage vaults filled with various eatable delicacies. Parthians enjoyed small delicacies but unlike other races, they derived their basic energy from the essence of life itself.

When Calvis arrived in the space and expected to see only the spartan arrangements of before he was shocked when he found his personal dimension had reached the size of some of the largest stars. It was multiple times larger than the sun around which earth orbited. The energy that drove the creation of his pocket dimension seemed to be based on chaos but even more shockingly its evolution did not seem to be done.
