2 Kale's Life

kale let out a nervous chuckle and tried to lighten the mood "haha guess im not the one who commited the most sins anymore aha"

John smiled nervously at Kale

"i i i ireally dont know what i did" john barely stuttered out kale smiled and patted his head and led him outside "john come with me, im going to tell you about the things i did that caused my level off sins, im going to explain why my sin level is at dark purple the highest this city had before you came along, nobody else managed to get close to my colour, im not trying to brag, its just a very serious thing since your colour was so... suffocating"

"your level of sins?" john mumbled while looking at this seemingly harmless old man kale smiled and brought him to his house and pointed to a chair

"sit down john and let me tell you, im not proud of any of them but it all happened over 200 years ago now, time moves on and i long since let go of that part of me" kale smiled at the young man looking up at him from the chair, he sighed and sat down in front of him and looked towards the roof

"i guess to begin i should explain about cultivation levels first

well at the beginning levels you have mortal then heavenly body ,heavenly soul , saint body which is what you seem to be at, saint soul, heavenly body ,heavenly soul, heavenly saint body, heavenly saint soul, then you have heavenly saint master, around 200 years ago when my crimes began this is the level i was at, i was the youngest person on the continent to reach it at around 90 years old, usually people hit it at around 140, once you hit heavenly saint master your life span becomes 300 years old, the thing is not many people can hit it maybe around 1 in a couple hundred thousand if youre lucky after heavenly saint master you have transcendent mortal which doesnt matter right now, at heavenly soul master your body and soul have went through so many changes to the point where no weapons can harm you except for those with a soul, you're able to summon the elements off the earth and cause more damage than you can think off, weather its summoning hundreds of tornadoes or meteors crashing down to wherever you want, depending on what your element is means you can summon different things now lets go on with it, around 200 years ago shortly after i became a heavenly saint master i felt indestructible, untouchable, i became a tyrant i killed those who even coughed in my direction and when i killed people i didnt leave it at just that, once a young boy from a quite established family in an A class city fell next to me, i decapitated him and killed every member off his family whether they were elderly or babies it didnt matter to me they all died,

anyway i was travelling to an S class city to buy some rare materials when a few young lads made a joke about my robe, of course i slaughtered them found out who they were, they were from a big sect, a very big sect with hundreds of millions of disciples and even more slaves to serve the sect i should have just turned and left but i couldn't let those insults pass i walked up to the sect and spawned meteors destroying it i slaughtered everyone who came across my path and even those who avoided it then i came across the elders, there were around a thousand of them all of them close to being the same level but still not there, haha how easy could it be to kill a heavenly saint master, they all died in the end as did almost all of the disciples and slaves of the sect enough damage to not be able to make up for at least a few thousand years but then the sect leader who was in secluded cultivation came out he was so close to transcendent mortal that he had the might i was so small in front of him well he chased me ready to kill a cat and mouse chase went on for thousands and thousands of miles when i stumbled into this city there was nothing but empty buildings, no people it was a ghost town he followed me in and killed me, i woke up minuets later and saw him leaving he killed me again, then when i got up he killed me again , and again and again in the end i played pretend and he left, i tried leaving and after a mile i just passed out i kept trying and trying and in the end i realised i was stuck.

but john the thing is i killed hundreds of millions possibly close to a billion and yet i only have a dark purple colour which has no affect on those around when summoned, im so very curious as to what you have done since killing so many people isnt easy"

John stared at Kale with shock and a little fear in his eyes , his eyes widened more and more as the story continued "i,i i i i d d d" john tried to talk but just couldnt get any full words out of his mouth ,he stammered and just gave up on trying to say anything to kale and just looked at him, kale smiled at john with a trace of sadness across his eyes "john, i regret killing those people, regret is the reason i cant get past the barrier to the next level, the thing is john, im a reincarnater just like you i led a boring life, the stronger you get the more memories you unlock at my level now ive unlocked all the memories from my past life and it was such a boring life i wanted it to be interesting i wanted to feel like i was in a game, i went down the wrong path, if i ever manage to get out of this city i'll go to where the sect once was and pay my respects, whether its still there struggling to survive or completely gone i'll pay my respects, those lifes will never come back here, but they might appear in a different universe entirely since we know reincarnation is a thing the guilt fades ever so slightly but just enough remains to be a demon i guess" kale sighed and looked at john staring

john just stared in silence for around 10 minutes thinking about everything he just heard when kale coughed and carried on speaking

"so john, do you want to get stronger and remember the crimes you commited clearly, or do you want to live your life as normal as possible from here to whenever we can leave?"
