3 3 Royal Blood

That night Jade had a dream of what had Maryse told about her mother being a royal. Jade dreamt of when she was ten and her mom left to go somewhere, Jade remembered that Maryse said there was a battle that she shouldn't have gone to. Jade had a lot of questions about what Maryse had said and there was only one person that she knew that knows, her mom. The only person she could talk to that wasn't family was Maryse Wolfheart.

The next day Jade woke up and went straight to the institute to speak to Maryse about the battle her mother shouldn't have gone to. When Jade arrived to the institute, Maryse was waiting for her like she knew Jade was coming. "We need to talk" said Maryse and there was surprise on Jade's face. "Can you follow me into the library please?" asked Maryse. Jade followed Maryse to the library which was massive.

Jace and Clary left Clary's to go the institute to train and they went to see if Jade wanted to go to the institute with them. When Clary and Jace turned up at the institute they found Jade talking to Maryse in the library before Jade had school. "Jade your mom was a member of the Shadowhunter royal family and so was your aunt Rosalie, but because your mom wanted to marry Nick a mundane, she couldn't become the new queen of the Shadowhunters, so as the oldest child she had, this now falls down to you" said Maryse. Jade was silent, it took her a moment to reply to Maryse. "What on earth are you on about? This is all so confusing to me. How in the hell can my mom be royal?" The battle that Jade's mom Juliet went to, was in Idris in the Brocelind plains. The battle was big, long and hard.

"Were you at the battle where my mom was?" asked Jade in a questioning tone. "Yes Jade I was at the battle with your mom she was my parabatai, she was one of my closest friends before the circle, and I did everything I could to help her, but I couldn't get to her to help as there were too many demons in my path" explained Maryse. There was a five minute silence from both of them, and then all of a sudden the library door opened and it was Jocelyn looking for Jade as she was late for school. "There you are Jade, you are late for school" said Jocelyn looking at Jade. The next person to speak was Maryse. "I'm sorry Jocelyn, this was my fault, I was telling Jade about her mom and the battle and we must have lost track of time" explained Maryse.

Jade then left the institute and headed to school, but when Jade got to school it was lunch time and she found a younger student being bullied. So Jade went to help the younger student, and she ended up getting into a fight with the older student because she was standing up for the younger student. The fight breaks out into the corridor and a big crowd forms around them and then a teacher walks past and stops it. The teacher takes Jade and the other student to the principal's office.

"What is going on here?" asked principal Belikov. There was silence from both of the students and because they wouldn't talk, there was only one option left to do and that was to call the student's parents. Principal Belikov sent the students to sit outside his office while he called their parents. Chad's mom came to the school and talked to the principal about what happened and Chad said that it was all Jade's fault she was the one bullying another student. So Chad and his mom left the principal's office just as Luke turned up to the school. Then Jade and Luke entered the principal's office and Jade told the principal her side of what happened. Jade remembered that there was a camera pointed at where she found Chad bulling another student and she knew it would show her helping the student being bullied.

After Jade had finished telling the principal her side of what happened, Jade and Luke left and sat outside the office. Chad forgot that there was a camera where he was bullying student. The principal checked the video footage to see who was telling the truth and then he called the students and their parents back into the office and showed them the footage of what actually happened. The principal gave Jade the rest of the day off so she could rest and heal, so he let Jade and Luke leave the office while he dealt with Chad and gave him his punishment. The principal gave Luke a copy of the security footage to take home. So Jade and Luke headed home. Jocelyn heard the door go and she saw Jade and Luke and Jade had a few cuts and bruises on her face. "What happened, Luke?" asked Jocelyn with a curious tone in her voice. "Jade got into a fight at school and no she didn't start it" replied Luke. The whole time that Luke and Jocelyn were talking Jade stayed quiet. Luke gave Jocelyn a disk that had what happened on it so she could see for herself what happened.

Luke went and got Jade cleaned up and took her back to the institute while on his way back to work, so she could finish her talk with Maryse. When Jade entered the institute she headed straight for the library as she knew that that had to be where Maryse was which she was right. When Maryse heard the library door open she looked up from what she was doing and saw Jade standing at the door. "Come on in Jade, we need to continue the talk from this morning" said Maryse. There was no answer from Jade so she just entered the library, and that's when Maryse saw Jade's face. "What happened to you Jade?" asked Maryse. There was silence from Jade as she couldn't speak very well as she had a swollen and split lip. "I got into a fight at school, I was standing up for a younger student" replied Jade the best she could with her split and swollen lip.

Maryse was telling Jade about the angels and demons an as Jade could barely speak she just used facial expressions. When Jace and Clary had finished their training they went past the library and they saw the door was partly open and they saw Jade was back. Clary wondered why Jade was back at the institute. Then Maryse saw Clary standing by the door. "Clary can you come and help me please?" asked Maryse. So Clary and Jace entered the library and Jade turned around to see them and when Clary and Jace saw Jade's face there was shock on both their faces.

Maryse told Clary and Jace what happened to Jade. So Clary stayed with Jade until it was time for them to leave to go home for dinner. When Jade and Clary got home that night dinner was already on the table and it was Jade's favourite. Jade smiled then sat down at the table with everyone else. When they were all done with dinner Luke took their plates and Jade went up to her room so she could rest and once she laid down on her bed and her head hit the pillow she was asleep.

The next day Jade went back to school and everyone was shocked that she even came back, as they thought she would have had the rest of the week off. Almost everyone stayed away from Jade but not her friends. "I heard what happened Jade, well done even though most people wouldn't say that as you got into a fight, but the thing that is important is that you helped another student" said Abbie and as Jade couldn't speak, she signed thank you. Then Abbie and Jade went to art class and they were assigned as partners for the art assignment they were given. So Jade and Abbie both started to plan what they could do for it and the title of the assignment was fantasy one of Jade's bet subjects in art as it was the thing she was best at. Once Jade had finished sketching what she had in mind she showed Abbie and she thought it was the best idea they had.
