1 1.JADE’S DREAM    

Jade to the Shadow café with her best friend, Abbie. After they got their coffee to go, they left the café and headed down the street, oblivious to being followed by something lurking in the shadows. As they rounded the corner to head home, the strange yet mysterious creature, that only Jade could see, attacked them both. Abbie couldn't react quick enough, as Jade was frozen where she stood, as flashbacks of the monster from her nightmares, it was a demon. Jade snapped out of it as Jace, Clary, Alec and Izzy appeared from the alleyway behind them. Jace saw the demon going for Jade and that's when he jumped into action.

As soon as the demon was taken care of, Jade turned around to see Alec vanquish another one with his bow and arrow, Jade screamed in fear from what she was seeing. The four Shadowhunters turned with shocked expressions, to find a new Shadowhunter, who reacted just like Clary when she first discovered the Shadow world. Jade passed out but she didn't hit the ground, just as the darkness was taking her, she felt strong arms lift her, Alec thought she was just being a typical mundane, passing out with shock, but what Jace, Clary, Alec and Izzy didn't notice was that she had been bitten by the demon when it attacked her.

The four Shadowhunters deglamoured to allow Abbie to see them, that's when Alec noticed the demon bite on Jade's arm. Clary and Izzy took Abbie home, while Jace and Alec took Jade back to the institute to get her healed. Once Izzy and Clary got Abbie home they headed back to the institute and straight to the infirmary, where Alec was drawing an Iratze rune and the Angelic rune beside the demon bite. When Jade woke up a few hours later, Clary explained about the Shadow world and what each runes means "The rune you have on your arm is the Angelic rune, it means angelic power, it shows us who Nephilim are, and each Nephilim when they are born have a spell placed on them to protect them from evil." When Jade finally got home later that night, she quickly had something to eat, even though she had been giving the healing rune, she was still exhausted from the eventful day she had endured. She went straight to bed and quickly fell asleep then ended up in a dream world. In that dream Jade found herself in Idris the home of the Nephilim. Jade was at Lake Lyn with the angel Raziel, he tells her how the first Shadowhunter was created. Then all of a sudden, she woke up shocked to find Clary and Izzy in her room, watching her with concerned eyes, "Jade are you okay? You were talking in your sleep" Izzy asked her with a puzzled tone, "I'm fine" Jade answered softly as she sat up on the bed. Izzy and Clary were there to take Jade to the Silent city to get help from the silent brothers. When they arrived at the gates to the Silent city Jade looked around, confused as to why she was in a graveyard. "Where are we going?" She asked both of them as she looked up at the gates, "We're going to see the Silent brothers to see if they can help" it was Clary that answered her then Izzy explained it further "Just like they helped Clary find out who put a block on her mind."

They got to the entrance of the Silent city also known as the City of Bones, "Why is it called the city of bones?" Jade asked not paying attention to her surroundings as she looked at the entrance of the City of Bones. "The Silent city is called the City of Bones because this is where all Shadowhunters who aren't traitors get buried when they die in battle" Jace spoke up as he stood at the entrance causing Jade to jump, she hadn't spotted him as she was too busy not paying attention to anyone around her.

Alec, Jace, Clary, Jade and Izzy all entered the City of Bones, Jade tripped on one of the worn, slippery steps and shouted with fear that she'd fall, "Shh! You will wake the dead" Jace exclaimed looking back at her over his shoulder with a cold stare. They got to the bottom of the stairs and were greeted by one of the Silent brothers, who led them to where the soul sword is. "The soul sword is extremely powerful, and if you are not strong enough, the soul sword will kill you. Do you still want to proceed?" asked the Silent brother. "I do" Jade stood tall to hide her fear from everyone around her. "Stand in the circle. Jade stands in the circle with the clairvoyant rune in the centre, she looked up and saw the soul sword come down to the bridge of her nose and the soul sword showed her flashing images of her memories and of who put a block on her mind. After the soul sword retracted away from her, the Silent brother spoke up again, "Only some of her memory fragments were accessible to us." Jade couldn't take it anymore so she ran up the worn, slippery steps of the Silent city, her feet hitting the ground with heavy thuds as she roughly pushed the doors open, her eyes straight ahead on the gates of the cemetery as she heard running from behind her on the stairs.

"Jade wait!" shouted Clary as they ran after her, Jade stopped a few metres away from the entrance of the Silent city, her feet no longer able to move, her body slowly giving up on her from the shock, she didn't feel like she was falling until her knees clashed with the muddy ground. "Jade what's wrong, what did you find out?" Izzy asked in a curious but worried tone as she watched the girl before her show so much vulnerability, Jade's voice was weak and shaky as she answered Izzy. "I found out who put the block on my mind", "So who placed the block on your mind Jade?" It was Clary that asked before Jace could open his mouth the shape words. "It is someone named Tessa, but I have no idea who she is."

Once Jade had told them what she had found out and after she had gotten some strength back to walk on her own, they all went back to the institute. When they got back, Jade remembered that she had to go meet up with her friend Abbie who had been calling and texting all day for the past three day. "I have to go; I have made plans with my friends." "You're not going out there alone as you have no training and you won't be able to defend yourself if you get attacked again, so Clary and Izzy will be going with you" Alec instructed while keeping his voice as friendly as possible, Jace again couldn't open his mouth to tell her the same thing as yet again someone bet him to it. "Fine, they can come as long as they deglamourize so my friends don't think I'm going crazy."

Abbie was waiting for Jade at the shadow café coffee shop, sipping on her hot beverage being careful not to burn her mouth, she looked up as she saw Jade with two other girls enter the café. "Who are the people with you?" asked Abbie, "I'm sorry I'm late Abbie, this is Clary and Izzy from the art academy" Jade told her, keeping all signs of worry out of her voice. "I accept your apology Jade. Hey Clary and Izzy" said Abbie, offering them a small smiles. After spending some time catching up over coffee they all left the shadow café and went back to the institute to get ready for a night out and with being Alec he didn't like having mundane's in the institute especially after what happened to Simon.

"Alec don't worry we're going to my room to get changed and then we're heading out, so she won't be here long." Izzy smiles up at him with a wide grin as he ruffled her hair "Okay but be careful, more careful then you were with Simon." "Okay girls let's get ready and have a fun night out" Clary shouted through her soft giggles. All the girls went to Izzy's room and with Jace being Jace; he tried to follow them in only to have the door got shut in his face in a manner of speaking.
