8 Chapter 8: Valentines Special - What’s a Valentine?

Todoroki's POV

After school my mind lingered around the event "Valentines". I couldn't wrap my head about it, so...

Attempt One:

"Hey Bakugo-" Todoroki walked into Bakugo's dorm.

"GET THE HELL OUT ICYHOT!"

Attempt 2:

"Mina—" Todoroki tried to ask Mina in the hallway, but when he did, all he got was a squeal.

Attempt 3:

Todoroki tried to ask his sister, Fuyumi on the phone, but once he called she said she had curriculum planning for the elementary kids she taught.

It's like the universe forbidden me to know, but, I know one other person who might know.

I knocked on Midoryia's dorm room door, and a room full of All Might seizures filled my view.

"Todoroki? What do you need?" Midoryia asked me surprised.

"What is a valentine?" I asked him. His expression changed very quickly.

"W-Well a valentine is someone whom you have romantic feelings for.. and you express those feelings on one day of the y-year. Like with chocolates or something..!" Midoryia stuttered, clearly uncomfortable about the subject.

"Thanks." I turned around and headed to my dorm.

When I got back, my pocket buzzed. Pulling out my phone, I saw that Fuyumi was trying to call me back.

"Hey, sorry about earlier, Shoto. I'm all finished now, what do you need?" She asked me over the phone.

"Do you know a good gift for Valentine's Day?" I asked. As a child I never really celebrated this kind of holiday. But I know that Fuyumi used to before my scar happened, so I asked her about what gifts where like.

"Oh- uhm well, it depends on the person Shoto.. do you have anyone in mind and do you have any romantic feelings towards them?" She asked kind of eagerly through the speaker.

My mind kind of wandered to when I grabbed Yaoyorozu 's hand. I remember a feeling in my chest in a moment.

I asked my sister if she could help identify that feeling for me. And how to give the good Valentines gift to that certain person.
