4 Chapter 4: Loops

Are we back in the same hallway?

"We're stuck in some kind of.." Todoroki started.

"..Loop" I finished what he was going to say. "We need to get out of here and see if the others are safe." I said.

"There has to be another way out." Todoroki mumbled, then I could tell he spotted something. I saw what he was looking at. "No. No no no, Todoroki! We are too many floors up! We could horribly hurt ourselves!" I glanced at him and back at the window.

"That's why I'm the only one jumping. I'll get help." Todoroki said.

"At least let me make a ladder-" he jumped. I ran to the window to see that he never hit the ground, neither was he even there. There was a thud from behind me. He fell from the ceiling.

"I knew it wouldn't be that easy. Someone has to be doing this." Todoroki groaned as he lay on the floor.

"A loop quirk?" I suggested. He looked at me.

"Most likely." He answered. I sighed, "then what do we do about it?"

"We track the person down from in this hallway." Todoroki said. I gasped.

"And I know exactly how!" He raised an eyebrow as he stood up. "Okay, now uhm..." thankfully I didn't have to say it, because he just turned around.

"Here we go, a heat sensor." I dropped the device in his hand. "If the user is still here there should be three dots." I explained to him.

"Three."

I looked shocked, "Already?" He nodded and pointed to the third dot furthest away from the other two. "Yeah, that's them.."

"They should be right around the corner.." Todoroki mumbled. "Now we just need to find a way to attack them. Is there anything else we could use..?" He asked me.

"I'm afraid not I had a small breakfast and we haven't had lunch yet." I lowered my head.

"Well then I'll have to aim my ice very precisely.." Todoroki stated.

"No, that won't work! If you attack this side of the loop, it'll come back through the other side and hit us." I explained.

"Tch- you're right..." He cursed under his breath.

"But.. there is another way .." I looked down at the floor beneath us.
