2 Chapter 2: Seeing Him Again

10 years later. 

4 women sat at a dinning room table, in the dinning room. The dinning room had walls the color of eggshells, a bay window that had white curtains in front of it, a long dark wood table with hand carved designs on its legs, and was freshly polished. Cushioned dark wood chairs about 8 of them all around the table, a glass chandelier that hung in the middle of the ceiling, and hardwood floors. On the table it had white lace place mats, and coasters that sat in front of every chair. Next to the place mats were napkins that had silverware in them. In the middle of the table sat wooden salt, and paper shakers. The air smelled of bacon, oatmeal, and coffee that had been freshly made. One of the women yelled "hurry up Ella! We don't want to wait for a lazy girl like you!" 

Ella came running into the dinning room with a silver tray that had four plates of food, glasses, and a coffee pot on it. Ella gave the women their food, and cups, and then poured the coffee into the cups  while saying "my apologies Ms.Hilda, Ligia, Tiala, and Kirata I just wanted to make sure I had your food just the way you wanted it." Ligia said "excuses, excuses." Tiala added "you should've been done 2 minutes ago!" Ella asked "well do you want it done right, or fast?" Ms.Hilda shouted "don't talk to them like that you worthless piece of filth!" Kirata asked "don't you think that's enough?" Ms.Hilda asked "what do you mean Kirata?" Kirata answered "she is trying her best, your yelling at her. I mean even servants deserve a little respect don't you think?" Ligia said "yes servants do,  but she's no servant she's trash." Kirata sighed, and said "thank you Ella." Ms.Hilda said "Ella I have a task for you to do." Ella replied "yes Ms.Hilda what is it?" Ms.Hilda said "go to the village, and get flowers roses specifically, silver, white, royal blue, and gold linen, and thread." Ligia added "and don't forget that chocolates, and my favorite perfume!" Ella replied "alright I'll get them." Ms.Hilda stood up, and smack Ella across the face so hard that she fell to the ground. Kirata shouted "what are you doing?!?!" Ms.Hilda grabbed Ella's face pulling her off the ground. She grinned at Ella while saying "that was a warning hit Ella if you forget anything, or anyone finds out who you are then there will be more to pay." Kirata shouted "she knows leave her alone!" Ms.Hilda asked "now Ella what's your name when you go out to meet people?" Tears ran down Ella's face, as she squealed out the name "Cinderella." Ms.Hilda smiled at her while saying "good girl." She threw Ella to the floor, and said "don't forget anything you worthless garbage, or you won't be eating anything tonight." Ligia mocked "stupid trash worthless garbage worth nothing not even the clothes on her back!" Tiala added "Cinderella fit a dirty girl like yourself!" Ms.Hilda said "that's why I picked it out for her." The three of them laughed at Ella while Kirata ran over to her, and asked "are you okay Ella?" Ella stood up while tears fell from her eyes. Kirata asked "Ella?" Ella answered "I'm fine miss I have to go." Ella left for the village.

While Ella made her way to the village, Prince Daniel was having problems with the princess he was meeting. Daniel, and the princess sat at a white metal table, with a fancy design throughout it. The table had fancy china on it, and it was set for tea. Daniel had a few cookies, and a cup full of tea, and the Princess had a small tea cake, and also had a cup of tea. A sugar tin sat in the middle of the table along with a tea pot full of tea, and a plat full of tea cakes, and cookies. They were in Ella's old play room, only it looked different. All of Ella's toys from her childhood sat in a toy chest that hadn't been touched in 10 years, and the carpet was taken out, and replaced with dark hardwood floors. The Princess had long hazel brown hair, and blue eyes, she wore a pastel yellow ballroom gown, and black flats that were covered under the dress. Prince Daniel wore a tan suit, and black shoes. He said "I hope one day I can turn this room back to the way me, and Ella had it when we were kids." She said "maybe when we have kids you can." He said "Oh Ella, we were the best of friends, and even though she wanted me too I never wanted to go into the pact with her to never get married I didn't want to, but she was so pushy about is." She replied "well I'm here now, and I would never push you to go into a pact with me." He said "oh we were so young, and stupid we had no clue what love looked like." She said "yeah you have no clue when love stares you in the face!" He said "oh that Ella we were betrothed you know. She was so interesting, and so lively she was the best match for me." She said "well maybe she wasn't the best match." He said "oh I miss her so much, I wish I had gotten the chance to marry her." She shouted "Ella this, Ella that who cares about Ella she dead! I'm your wife now me, and no one else not that stupid Ella chick she's not coming back move on! It was 10 years ago grow up! I'm marrying you now not Ella, or anyone else its me now so forget bout Ella!" He stared at her with so much sorrow in his eyes. Without saying a word he stood up, and left the room making his way to the front door. Before he could walk out his mother said "and where do you think your going?" He turned around to see his parents standing behind him. He looked at them with watery eyes, and his mom said "it happened again didn't it?" He sighed, and left. 

While he was making his way over to the village Ella was shopping around in the village. The village had cottages for houses, and market stands outside. It had small stores that were linked together, and the ground was cover in stones. Children's laughter, and the voice of people talking danced through out the air. Kids were running around playing, and drawing pictures on the stone paths, while the adults took care of their business.  Ella said "finally freedom, why can't everyday be like this." She walked around finding the places she needed to go to get the stuff she was told to get. Half an hour flew by, and she had bags full on linen, chocolates, and thread. She said "half an hour, and I've only gotten three things on the list. I'm really bad at this job. I hope at least they're pleased with the linen I got for them I'll probably tell them I had to fine the best." She laughed, and continued to find things on her list. She said "I need roses, and Ligia's favorite perfume then its back to crabby Ms.Hilda. I wish I could leave." She walked through the village until the sweet aroma of flowers filled the air. She followed the sweet scent to a stand that was filled with different types of flowers. A man stood behind the stand, and asked "do you like the flowers?" Ella answered "yes their beautiful, and they smell so sweet." The man replied "well thank you there my wives, but she's out of town so I'm selling them for her." She bent over to smell them, and the man said "I'll be right with you sir." Ella said "these flowers smell so sweet." The man asked "is there any flowers in particular that your looking for miss?" She stood up while answering "yeah roses their my bosses favorite." The man answered "well your in luck because we just got a fresh batch." She asked "oh that's great could you please cut off the thorns I wouldn't want my boss pricking herself." The man answered "just for you I'll trim them off for free." She replied "Oh thank you." The man said "your welcome I'll be right back, and then after I'm done I'll help you sir." She asked "are you talking to me." A voice chuckled, and said "no he's talking to me behind you." She turned around to see Daniel standing behind her. Astonished she dropped her mouth, widened her eyes, and leaned back on the stand. He widened his eyes, and dropped his mouth as well. She said"Pri...ri... Prince Daniel?" He said "you look so familiar have we met before?"  She answered "I...I....I... I'm, but a servant girl what business would you have with me." He said "I don't know, but I can't help feeling like we've met before." She said "I don't even dress fancy how would we have met?" He answered "maybe you don't always wear rags." The man came back with the thorns on the roses cut off. The man said "here you go miss." Ella took the flowers, and was getting ready to pay, but Daniel said "I'll pay for them miss." Ella said "oh I couldn't" Daniel replied "it would be my pleasure, plus I could have you thrown in the dungeon for refusing an offer of the prince." Ella said "I could last in the dungeon." Daniel smiled, and  replied "stubborn are we? Well I'm telling you I'm paying for it." Ella smiled, and said "well if you insist be my guess." Daniel paid for it, and Ella said "well thank you Prince Daniel," and proceeded to walk off. Daniel caught up to her, and said "hey wait a minute I just paid for your things, and your going to leave me?" She relied "well I have a lot of chores to do, and a short amount of time to do them."He asked "can I help you?" She answered "no that's really not necessary I can do this alone." He smiled, and said "I could have you in the dungeon right now." She said "like I said I can survive the dungeon."  He said "you just love to boss me don't you?" She smiled, and replied "well... It is kind of funny to see your reaction when I say no. If you must come with me then be my guest." He said "well then I guess I'm coming with you." As they were walking Ella asked "are you always this pushy when you meet girls?" He answered "well no I'm usually talking about my dream girl." Ella asked "oh, and who is that some royal princess from a far off land with ridiculously long name that no one can pronounce?" He answered "no.... she was my childhood love." Ella asked "what was her name?"  He answered "her name was Ella, and I just thought she was beautiful when I was younger." Ella asked "Ella the princess? The one who was never found after the castle fire?" He answered "yeah that's her she was the love of my life. She always beat me at everything! I remember one time I lost a bet with her, and I had to do her chores for a whole month." Ella laughed, and said "must have been difficult seeing that you two didn't live together." He smiled, and replied "yeah it was very difficult we had to come to her house everyday for that month, and before I played with her I had to do all of her chores." Ella said "she always did help you with a few chores." He asked "yea, but how did you know that?" Ella answered "um...uh... I just guessed." He said "you know in all of this talking about Ella I never learned your name... So what is your name?" She answered "its...um..... Cinderella." He asked "Cinderella huh?" Ella answered "yes it is Cinderella Danny. Now can we change topics I kind of don't like the name." He asked "what did you just call me?" Ella, and Daniel stopped in front of a stand that had glass perfume bottle filled with different color perfumes. Ella said "oh good we're here."

She quickly picked up a bottle of Ligia's favorite perfume, paid for is, and left while Daniel followed. Daniel asked "did you call me Danny a second ago?" Ella answered "I'm sorry I just use to call this person Danny when I was little, and I guess I just got carried away. I'm sorry." Daniel replied "sorry its just Ella use to call me Danny it was my secret name." Ella said "oh I'm sorry I won't call you that then." Daniel replied "no its okay I'm sure Ella wouldn't mind." Ella shouted "yes Ella would!" Daniel asked "wait what?" Ella answered "I mean I would think Ella wouldn't want a random stranger calling you by the special super secret name she called you. I shouldn't call you Danny that's her secret to you. That was her way I saying she loved you. How could I take that away from her." Daniel said "wow I've never met a girl who cared about Ella's feelings the way I do. They all say they don't care because she's dead, but I don't think so." Ella asked "you still believe she's alive?" He answered "crazy I know, but yes I do. I know she's still alive, and she out there somewhere. I just have to find her." She smiled, and said "Daniel never give up hope. Now I really must be going I have to get home." He asked "can't I walk you home." She shouted "no".... and said "I mean no I couldn't ask you to do that. I can walk myself." He replied "well if you insist I leave then I must stay." She said "oh please Danny I mean Daniel I really really couldn't ask you to do that." He said "alright then when can I see you again?" She answered "why do you want to see me again?" He replied "well because I think your quiet interesting." She said "well I don't know when we'll ever be able to see each other after all I'm, but a servant girl." He replied "you are a servant girl who was made to be royal." She said "your so sweet, but I really must get going maybe we'll see each other in the future. Now I've really got to go." He said "goodbye Cinderella." She replied "goodbye Dann..... Daniel."

She left for home, and he went back to his castle saying to himself "that's her that's my Ella."
