6 Chapter 6

Francheska laughed again as she imagined the frustrated expression of her friend right now. It's been months since she last saw her friends. Because she needed to focus on her singing practices, she rarely contacted these people and have a chat with them. And now she was back in the city, Francheska plans to make it up to them by spending more time with her friends during her free time.

"Don't worry. I will make it up to you. Let us have dinner tomorrow, okay? I also have a gift for you."

(Hmph! You are just planning to bribe me, aren't you?)

"A little. And I am guessing that you will also like my gift. I have a clue for you. It has a black gem on it."

(Wait! Don't tell me... Oh my gosh! It's the limited edition Black Pandora necklace! Right? Right?!)

"Hmm... I don't know." Francheska playfully replied.

(Goodness! Francheska, my love! My goddess! I will definitely forgive you if that is your gift to me! I will also swear my loyalty to you and our friendship as a payment!)

"Crazy." Francheska commented, but her friend on the other line just laughed at her.

(It's now settled! Then be sure to free your schedule tomorrow night. I will call the other two so we can have a small reunion.)

"Okay! You should call them now so they can also make time for us."

(I got it. And tomorrow's dinner will be your treat for us.)

"Fine." Francheska answered helplessly.

After a few more words, Francheska ended the call. She has a smile on her face remembering the reaction of her friend just now. She is still the same crazy friend of hers. When she put down her phone on the table, Francheska is quite surprised to see that Rachel and Iñigo were still standing in front of her.

Francheska did not ask for these two to sit together with her. It would be rude if they will just sit without asking and receiving her permission. And Rachel is silently cursing Francheska in her heart. Rachel chose to wear five inches stilleto shoes because Iñigo asked her for a dinner date tonight. Because she has been standing for a lot of minutes now, her feet were starting to ache.

Rachel had the desire to leave a few times. But if she does it, then it would be bad since she and Francheska are still talking before her phone suddenly rang. Rachel is the type of person who gives deep care to her reputation. In the end, she bitterly swallowed her anger and stayed. Even Iñigo thought the same thing so he stayed with Rachel.

"I apologize. An important person called me just now." Francheska said as she showed these two an apologetic smile.

"No, it's okay. We understand." assured Rachel.

"That is good." Francheska replied. "By the way, where are we again?"

"That's..."

"Ah, right. I remember now." Francheska said. "We are talking about the closeness of our relationship, right?"

Seeing Rachel having a difficulty in replying to her question created a pleasant feeling in Francheska's heart.

"Ms. Rachel Tan, pardon me but just like what I had said, I cannot remember a time where we became that close. Sure, we are stepsisters. But that was before. And you knew better than anyone else on what was the status of our relationship before. Am I correct?"

When Francheska said these words, her eyes quickly swift on Rachel before looking at the man standing beside her. Iñigo is now obviously angry, but Francheska did not care about it. In fact, it would be better if he will become angrier than before.

Francheska can see how Rachel tightly grasped Iñigo's sleeves, but she still maintained an innocent look on her face. Francheska sneered deep inside her heart witnessing how Rachel is acting like this to save her reputation despite her obvious hatred towards her. But that is okay. This time, Francheska will enjoy seeing Rachel being like this.

"I...see. I'm sorry for acting like this."

"Just don't forget it next time, okay?" Francheska reminded her with a smile. "So? Still cannot bear to leave me alone?"

Rachel can only smile back at her. Iñigo can't take any more of it so he excused themselves by telling Francheska that they still have an appointment to attend for tonight. Francheska naturally let them go and even tell told them to enjoy their night. Before leaving, Iñigo gave a scary glare at Francheska, but she naturally ignored it.

At last, peace is back once again. Francheska leaned her back on the chair and lets out a soft sigh. The couple totally left the restaurant. Maybe they decided to eat in another restaurant where they cannot see her. If that is the case, then Francheska will be more glad about it.

The waitress has now return together with her order. As the waitress serves her food on the table, Francheska looked at her surroundings again. The other people are now busying themselves to eating their food. No one is looking in her direction anymore.

Francheska is not afraid of rumors. If someone will report her short interaction with Rachel tonight on the tabloid, Francheska will not give a care about it. This rumor will not make any problems with her career even if Rachel decided to add more fuel to it. But of course, Francheska is sure that Rachel will not dare to do it since she is giving more attention to her reputation in the public. In fact, Rachel's reputation might be in danger if that really happens.

After serving her order, Francheska gave her thanks to the waitress and started to eat her food. After waiting for a few minutes and having a conversation with those vermins, Francheska's hunger was now really getting at her. And since the two unpleasant people from earlier were now gone, Francheska started to eat her food in delight.

And that was really satisfying.
