3 Chapter 3

Inside the van, Francheska was checking each gift she had received from her fans earlier. Some of them were stuff toys, snacks, flowers, and cards. She also received some expensive stuff like jewelry, lipsticks, and limited edition purses. Francheska let out a helpless sigh after inspecting all the gifts she gathered earlier.

Francheska appreciated the love and effort she received from her fans. Ever since she entered the glamourous world of the entertainment industry, Francheska cherished the moment she spent together with those people who support her. The cheers and undying supports she received from her fans are already enough for Francheska. She does not want her fans to spend more money just to give her a present.

Francheska already mentioned this serious matter in one of her interviews. She told her fans that it is okay for them to give her a gift. But as much as possible, Francheska does not want to receive a very expensive gift. She will never measure their love and support for her based on the expensive price of the gifts they will give to her.

"You just arrived in Finrel City, but you already have a helpless look." Rissa said.

Francheska looked at the woman sitting in front. Rissa continued checking their schedule on the thick planner she was holding. Rissa is a petite girl with short, blonde hair. When Francheska decided to start her career, Rissa became her manager. Rissa stayed with Francheska throughout her hardship and journey as an actress.

"What should I do if I received many expensive gifts like these at my fan meeting next week?" Francheska suddenly asked.

"Then refuse it."

"You know that I can't do that." Francheska said. "I do not want to hurt their feelings."

Rissa let out a sigh before closing the planner she was holding. She slightly turned her body to look at the actress was sitting in the backseat while being surrounded by a bouquet of flowers she had received during her interview session and the gifts from her fans. Francheska has a troubled expression on her pretty face. She looks like someone thinking of a solution to solve a big problem in the city.

"Your fan meeting will be held on Sunday." Rissa declared. "You can just post on your social media account and announce to your fans that you are not planning to receive any expensive gifts."

"Hmm..."

Francheska tilted her head and considered the suggestion from Rissa.

"You are right. You are so smart, Rissa!"

"I know right." Rissa said as she flipped her short hair.

Francheska let out a soft giggle before fishing out her phone inside her bag. She opened her social media account and typed a few words before posting it online. She simply told her fans not to give her expensive gifts. Instead, she would appreciate it more if they will give her any personalized gifts and fan letters.

After posting it online, thousands of fans quickly reply and share her post. Francheska reads some of her fans' reply before checking her homepage. Francheska stopped scrolling to read a piece of particular news.

"Rachel Tan wins the first place infamous variety show 'The Lovely Voice' last Sunday."

Inside the photo, a slender woman was wearing a white formal dress while holding a huge trophy in her right hand. There was also a man wearing a red suit who was standing beside her. He was affectionately holding Rachel's left hand. They were both smiling while looking at each other.

When Rissa noticed that Francheska is not making any sounds at the back, she saw her staring intently on her phone. Rissa suddenly grabbed her phone and looked at the screen to see what Francheska was currently staring at. She only took a quick glance at the screen before she turned off the phone.

"Stop looking at those garbages. They don't deserve your time."

"Of course."

Francheska gave her a small smile, but she did not say anything. Rissa wanted to say more but stopped herself after she saw her friend's smile. Looking at her for the last time, Rissa let out a sigh again before continuing what she was doing earlier. Francheska leaned back on the leather seat and watched the moving scenery in the window with a pensive look on her face.

After a few minutes, they arrived at the Lancester Hotel where Francheska will be staying for a week to finish her upcoming activities that will be held in the Central District of Finrel City before she goes home where her mother lives. The Lancester Hotel was recommended by Director Cartel to ensure her safety and privacy. Even if the news will get leak about her staying in this hotel, she can be assured that no one will bother her while staying there because of the hotel's strict security.

Francheska did not bring too many things with her. She only brought a small suitcase of clothes with her. It was the same for her manager. They both decided not to bring a lot of clothes and items with them. If they needed something, they can just buy it later at the nearest mall.

And besides, they do not have any assistants with them right now. Due to her past experiences, Francheska had the trauma of having an assistant on her side. As her trusted manager, Rissa is always doing her best to assist and help Francheska in every way. She is doing it not only because it is part of her job, but also because Rissa is treated Francheska as a true and loyal friend.
