12 Chapter 12

"Hmph! Mark my words! One day, you will become an ambassador of my fashion house. When that time comes, I will make the greatest design of all time. Just you wait and see!" Wendy announced with conviction.

"Ohh! When that time comes, I will invest in your fashion house." Leon interjected. "I bet I will become richer if invest in your fashion with Cheska as your model."

"Even if I am not the ambassador of The Fairy Factory, Wendy's designs can make you extremely rich." Francheska quipped.

"Yes! That is right! My fashion house can triple your investment! You should know that you are now talking to the best designer you can ever find!"

Leon let out a chuckle after he heard Wendy's remarks while Cindy muttered a soft 'Crazy.' on Francheska's side. Francheska can only shake her head when Wendy started acting like a spoiled child again. But even if these are the attitudes they are showing, they knew deep down inside that Wendy is really the best when it comes to the fashion industry.

Francheska looked at Wendy who is currently hugging her arms while her head is placed on her shoulder. She can't help but remember the day when she met Wendy. It was definitely one of her scary and unexpected experiences in her life. Thinking about it, Francheska felt like she lost ten years of her life at that time.

It all happened eight years ago. Francheska was strolling in the city to find a convenience store to buy an instant noodles for her dinner. She was still a newbie in the entertainment industry who was never noticed by the people around her at that time. It was a quiet night and no cars were passing by one the road. For Francheska, the quietness of the road was relaxing her.

After giving her best to act the small role given to her in a small drama that day, Francheska appreciated the stillness of her surroundings and tried to relax her mind. But her supposed to be relaxing night was shattered when she saw something unusual at the dark alley between the two abandoned factories. Francheska saw a person lying on the ground. It was a girl and she was obviously unconscious.

Francheska did not think twice and quickly helped the girl. Her clothes were tattered and she has a deep wound on her upper abdomen. Francheska brought the girl to the nearest hospital and call the police. After a few hours of surgery, the doctor informed her that the girl will definitely die from blood loss if she was brought much later. It was a good thing the girl was alive.

After a few days, the police found the girl's parents. It was said that the girl went missing after she left their home to go to school. The police said that the girl was abducted and there was a huge chance that the girl fought with her kidnappers so they stabbed her and hastily threw the wounded girl on the road. It was fortunate that Francheska saw her that night.

According to the girl's parents, her name was Wendy Mercado. Wendy's parents tried to gave her a huge sum of money as a reward for bringing back their daughter but Francheska firmly refused. It was enough for her that the girl was saved. Now she can leave the hospital without worrying about the girl's life.

Francheska thought that would be the end of their encounter. But after two months, Francheska was surprised when a girl suddenly hugged her when she opened the door of her apartment. The girl was weeping while saying thank you a lot of times. After that, Wendy always visited Francheska whenever she had time.

Francheska was surprised when she learned that Wendy came from an extremely rich family in their city. Though Francheska's family is also rich, it is not comparable to Wendy's family. Wendy offered to be friends with Francheska, which she happily accepted. But Francheska pointed out that what she wanted was Wendy's friendship and not her money. This made Wendy absolutely happy with Francheska and swore her loyalty to her benefactor and her new friend.

And that was the start of her friendship with Wendy.

Thinking about it, Francheska was definitely scared not for her, but for the woman who is clinging on her arms. It was her first time seeing a bloodied person and she was afraid at that time that the girl would die in front of her. Francheska cannot imagine how she made herself calm to call the ambulance without shaking. It was really fortunate that Wendy is now healthy and alive.

"Hmm? Cheska?" Wendy called her. "What are you thinking?"

"I am thinking how am I going to refuse your offer the next time you asked me again." Francheska joked which makes Wendy huffed in anger and their other friends laugh at her miseries.
