98 Mao Man

Night, it's the time where most people spend their time to cultivate or rest their mind in their own bed. Yet, as soon as Yin Yu and Lan Yiyan entered, they can see various people coming or going inside the lobby.

In fact, coming here might be a wrong decision after all…

Why? It's because Yin Yu's close to rampage after he saw most of the people here!

Fat! Fat! Fat! Oh, that one is slim... Fat again!

A desire to beat all of them grows inside Yin Yu, yet he forces the desire down with full force as he knows that this desire is a mental demon that he must face one way or another! Succumbing to one mental demon will only limit one future progress, and that's the last thing Yin Yu would wish for!

With some willpower, Yin Yu use his nail to pierce and bled his arms to make him feels pain, and not long after that, rationality returns to him once again.

Yin Yu gasp a mouthful of air after he suppresses that unwanted desire. He wonders why isn't there any cold essence coming to calm his mind as usual. But knowing that he didn't even know the origin of the cold essence or what's it use other than calming himself make Yin Yu giving up thinking altogether as his objective in coming here is to fill his and Lan Yiyan stomach and not to think about unnecessary things that will only worsen his mood when he's eating.

While the cafeteria lobby is large, the room is literally full right now with 30 people sitting on each of their own seats and no more spare seat for other people to sit at.

Giants can be seen sitting on most of the seat, showing their might and deterrence to other people who coveted their seat. Yin Yu can also see that there's a small-scale battle happening to gain possession on each seat, and the winner will gain the rights to sit there until he's challenged by someone else while the loser can only stand or search for other people to fight with.

All of the students didn't think that this is a weird scene and feels that it's normal around here, in fact, no one feels bothered by the fights that are happening once in a while and even cheer for the fighters, forgetting the fact that this is a cafeteria and not an arena.

"Oh…both of you are the 1st year special student aren't you?"

A chubby build boy approach Yin Yu and Lan Yiyan as soon as he caught sight of them. His eyes look like an eye of a thirsty beast that suddenly found an oasis when he saw both of them and approach them without any hesitation.

"Oh…where's my manner, as you can see from this badge, my name is Man. Both of you can call me Senior Brother Man, Upperclassmen Man, or anything you wish for; and how about I'm calling both of you Junior Sister Yu and Junior Sister Yiyan?"

Yin Yu and Lan Yiyan evaded and ignore the approaching upperclassmen called Man and continue walking as if he has never existed to begin with. For Yin Yu, he's avoiding him because the desire to punch someone might get renewed again, and as for Lan Yiyan, she's too hungry to care about someone right now and wouldn't care as long as he didn't block her path.

As for Man or should we call him Mao Man, he didn't get offended at all when he saw that they're ignoring him as he has experienced it for a few years, even so, he wouldn't give up even if he got ignored by both of them and keep following them as he started to pitch while ignoring the fact that they may ignore all of his words.

"Aren't you curious why there are only 30 seats in the lobby? Aren't you curious why no one even teacher bothered to stop their fight? Aren't you curious why I am talking with you right now? Don't worry as I'll explain all of it to both of you!"

"Not interested."

Yin Yu reply and walk faster than before, while Mao Man feels some delight as replying to him mean that she has at least heard him out. With more determination from before Mao Man starts his pitch again not considering Yin Yu and Lan Yiyan feelings.

"These 30 seats are available only for the one who's most strong, persistent, patient and most important of all! Hungry…!" Mao Man stops after he gets to that point and when he saw Yin Yu perk his ear up, he concludes that Yin Yu's interested in the topic and keep talking again.

"You might not be able to see it with naked eyes, but each of these seats has a teleportation formation drawn on it, which will only function when a certain event is happening on this cafeteria! There's also a rule that must be abided, and it's that seat number 1-10 can only be used by 1st to 3rd year, seat number 11-20 can only be used by 1st to 6th year, and of course seat number 21-30 can be used by 1st to 9th year and they will all be sent to respective 2nd,3rd, and 4th floor of this school! As for 10th to 12th year, they're not allowed to participate again." Mao Man explained it all with at a high pace as if all of the things he explained is unimportant, even so, for a cultivator of their realm, as long as he or she focus on his words, they will be able to hear him as if he's talking normally.

"And as for the event I mentioned before…" Mao Man expression change into reverie as he continues to explain "It's the event where Gourmet from all around the school fight to get the Spirit food cooked by Gourmet Chef You and his disciples!...." Mao Man continues to explain to Yin Yu, and Lan Yiyan as both of them ignore him and used teleportation formation to go to the second floor followed by Mao Man who keeps his sales pitch.

In truth, Yin Yu's a bit interested in the topic he talks about, yet the more he heard that unstoppable blabber, the more irritated he became. He knew that it might be over if he replies words full of pretentious lines to get rid of him, yet he can't do that as his desire to punch fatty flare up again as soon as Mao Man become more and more irritating to Yin Yu.

He tried his best to calm himself down, and not let his impulse take over him. Breath in breath out…and soon, calm come to him once again as he continues to move with Lan Yiyan.

Lan Yiyan also noticed that something is wrong with Yin Yu as soon as he entered this place, she didn't know what happened to him and she has also inquired him once while ignoring the upperclassman that continues his sales pitch at her back and the only reply she got from Yin Yu is 'how can something wrong happen to someone as great as me!' which makes her ignore him for his shamelessness once again.

Yin Yu and Lan Yiyan walk into the counter not long after, while ignoring Mao Man that keeps talking like a broken radio. Most of the students around also give a cursory glance at Yin Yu and Lan Yiyan after noticing that Mao Man has tried to recruit people again, yet none of them turns their head to their food again after looking at two beautiful angels that are descended from the heaven to the earth.

One ignorant student tried to be heroic by getting rid of Mao Man to gain favors from the girls, yet the one next to them grab their sleeve over to stop them and whisper to his ear, whereas the one who tried to help before tremble and sit down eating food his food again like a docile rabbit.

It's not long before Yin Yu and Lan Yiyan arrive at the counter.

For Yin Yu, the faster he gets the food, the faster he will get rid of that noisy upperclassman, the faster he will gain peace again! Even so, he didn't forget his primary purpose for coming here is to treat Lan Yiyan that's why he uses his best smile at the lunch lady in front of him and start to order the best of the best to show his generosity!

"Sister, I also want to add the best dishes this cafeteria can give for her and me."

"150 contribution point." The lunch lady emotionlessly replied.

Yin Yu give his jade badge to the lunch lady as soon as she says the price and the lunch lady also didn't waste any time as she put his badge on top of a formation and return it to Yin Yu.

Most people become surprised when they saw someone splurged 300 contribution points in one go! Although 300 contribution point didn't seem much for most of the people here, it's still a lot considering that Yin Yu's still freshman who have just entered the school!

It didn't take long for various dishes to arrives in front of Yin Yu and Lan Yiyan. Yin Yu who have read flora and fauna book before easily recognize most of the dishes in front of him which even make him nod his head for a few times as it's truly a high-quality dishes.

For Yin Yu, those arriving food is food that comes from heaven that will let him free himself from one annoying guy while filling his stomach that hasn't eat anything decent for the past month.

Yet, Yin Yu complexion abruptly changes as soon as the last shining dishes appear in front of him...
