97 Gourmet Battlefield

Yin Yu let out a sigh, he didn't want to say anything, and Lan Yiyan also accepted that silent as the answer. For him, not saying anything is the best he can do right now. Asking too much is unreasonable, as both of them aren't that close to each other where they can share the matter of their private lives openly yet.

'Just thinking wouldn't solve a problem.'

Yin Yu slap both of his faces as hard as he can which startle Lan Yiyan awake from her thoughts. For now, he must not think about unnecessary things, all he can think of is what he can or need to do right now, unrelated thoughts can go to hell!

With that, Yin Yu walk into the room and press a square-shaped stone that's attached to the wall. The once dark room turned bright in an instant as the light stone let out lights from above.

Although Yin Yu can easily see in the dark by activating Yin eyes, activating it every single time is a troublesome matter after all. Yin Yu can also activate it 24 hours without rest and still have enough qi to use, yet he has realized that activating it for that long contain more drawback than activating it only when he needs it.

The first drawback is how he can't sleep or meditate peacefully at all with it, as he can easily see through his eye-lid when he is activating his Yin eyes. The second is how he will strain his eyes by continually activating it without rest which results in temporary blindness once he deactivated his Yin eyes. There's still another drawback in using it without stop, but the above mentioned is the main reason Yin Yu didn't continuously use it.

Yin Yu look at Lan Yiyan again after the light back on. Removed of her usual black clothes that make her seems gloomy and hard to talk to by the other, in addition with her long black hair, black eyes while complemented with her jade-like skin truly makes her beautiful without compared like how a dark witch that deem to be wicked revealing her inner purity to the world.

Although Yin Yu has seen it before, he didn't think too much of it back then as he were too focused and didn't pay attention to it. Even so, seeing it again really make him feels that Lan Yiyan's indeed beautiful which also make him feels guilty as he has remembered that a girl whose body has been seen by another man except for her father or her husband isn't pure anymore. Yin Yu shook his head while sighing from time to time saying that he saw her with a girl and not boy perspective which means her purity still exist before he grabbed her robe and draped it on top of her.

"Yiyan, hurry up and get dressed, we're going out."

"Going out? Where?"

Lan Yiyan immediately wore her clothes after she heard Yin Yu words, yet confusion also filled her when she heard they're going somewhere, especially in this night which makes her wonder where they're going to.

Even so, it's not long before Lan Yiyan remembers, she remembers that there's still a place they need to go to today and if she's not wrong then…

"Have we gone to the library before we passed out?"

"No."

Lan Yiyan hurriedly turns back and looks at the clock beside her as soon as she heard Yin Yu words. Looking at the time, Lan Yiyan let out a sigh of relief as it's not too late yet, but it's certainly not early too. With that, she wore her clothes and walked to the door as fast as she can.

"What're you waiting for Yu! We need to hurry before it's 10!"

"*Sigh* Calm down a bit silly. I hope you remember that we need to go to one place first before we go to the library."

Seeing Lan Yiyan confused look, Yin Yu flash Lan Yiyan his cheeky smile and give her a little hint to let her know what he means.

"Stomach."

Lan Yiyan didn't understand what Yin Yu mean by stomach. Even so, she unconsciously put her hands on her stomach, and it didn't take long for her to discern that...

…She's hungry.

She didn't feel that hungry before, but after she finds out her stomach is rumbling, she has finally remembered that she hadn't eaten anything today! She's hungry! So hungry that she might be able to eat a whole boar in one sitting, yet she didn't realize it at all until Yin Yu mention it to her!

"We haven't get some decent meal for a month now, let's go and enjoy ourselves for today. Of course, as promised, it's my treat today."

Myriad World School Cafeteria…it's a place where students and teachers of Myriad World School eat their food every day. The school cafeteria is divided into 12 floors which lobby at 1st floor, students cafeteria for 2nd to 5th floor, teachers cafeteria for 7th and 8th floor, Kitchens at 6th,9th, and 11th floor, Contribution cafeteria which provide good food to anyone as long as they have contribution points and the 12th floor which only serve important figures of this school such as Principal and Vice Principal.

The school cafeteria is large. It's so large that one might doubt that it's cafeteria and think that it's a high-class restaurant. In fact, calling it restaurant might not be wrong as it has long surpassed the level of a restaurant!

The school cafeteria provided free meals for students, and according to the students' badges, the meal they receive will vary from each other. Which counted from the worst is Bronze while the best is Gold.

Of course, even the worst is better than average they can found outside, yet compared to the food given to the gold badge, the difference would be like heaven and earth as the menu would look like dregs if compared.

One might ask why the food for the gold badge is the best and not jade. One of the reasons is that while Jade badge is rare, in the end, it's only a badge that's given to freshmen that win the Freshmen Tournament, no more no less. The freshmen tournament might be an excellent way to gauge student ability, even so, not all freshmen that won the freshmen tournament will rise like a dragon leaving other students behind as their stepping stones.

Those who're dissatisfied with their meal can also buy the meal they didn't get with Spirit stones or contribution point. Even so, not many people use it as using contribution point or spirit stones on food is considered as wasteful for most of the students as they might as well buy magic items, talisman, pills, or other things which is more beneficial for their future progress.

The only people who spend money on food would be gourmet. They're group of people who worship and think food will be the things that bring them to the pinnacle of cultivation! Their belief sprouted from a fat cultivator which is also one of the best spirit chefs in the Myriad World School Rou You.

Stories have said that the Spirit Chef Rou You has got mocked because of his big figure by his peers when he's still a student before, even so, look at the result now! He has not only grown fatter as time passed, but he has also grown stronger and prevail against his peers who mock him for being fat!

He has also shown his ability as Spirit Chef which makes many great powers request him to join their nation, yet he rejects all of them and choose to kneel in front of his alma mater to pay respect for the teacher who has never given up on him and in the end got a job as spirit chef of Myriad World School.

Many people have got inspired by him and follow the path he has shared with the school which result in the rise of gourmet for the last 200 years.

Of course, not all gourmet is a Spirit Chef like him, even so, for those who love to eat more than cultivating, this road is like heaven to all of them compared to tedious cultivation! Although many people have once frowned at them, nowadays, gourmet can be said respected as the food quality for each nation has increased as they welcome those gourmets to their country!

And soon, Yin Yu and Lan Yiyan have finally arrived at the school cafeteria, which is also dubbed as the Gourmet Battlefield.
