13 Chapter 9 : Reality --------------------------------------------------

"Prepare for impact. We are soon going to land on VES-19"

Yuna woke up to the system in her pod informing her about the landing. She seemed very confused and couldn't remember much.

"We are now entering VES-19's atmosphere. Turbulence may be experienced, please hold on."

Yuna prepared herself as she heard about the atmospheric entry. The pod started shaking heavily as it progressed into the layers of the atmosphere.

*Cough* Dust flew around as the pod landed.

"We have safely landed on VES-19. Please walk towards the East to reach the base."

Yuna, still dazed and confused had no choice but to listen the system's orders. She started heading towards the East.

Just 5 minutes in, she saw the base. She appeared at the gate of the base all dirtied with feet bruised. She was tired after the landing.

"Yuna! Is that you?"

Xander rushed towards Yuna and ordered to open the gates. They took her in and gave immediate medical care.

She saw Xander in the room with his hands on his head towards the floor as if he was really worried.

"Xander....where are we?"

"Oh, you're finally awake! We're in the base, Yuna. We are safe"

"But, weren't we fighting the Manwols?"

"Yes, we were. Its hard to explain but it was a simulation the whole time. We were in a simulation on our way to VES-19. No one would've thought that was for real but I think it was to prepare us for the Manwols."

"But it all seemed real."

"Yes, it did to me too but it was nothing but a simulation. As we got knocked out by the high class Manwol, a message popped off on the sky informing about the landing. Then, I woke up in the pod."

As Xander reminded her of what had happened, she started having flashbacks.

"The bright white light that saved us", Yuna mumbled.

Yuna was wondering if she was dead or maybe dreaming. She then pinched herself to realise that it wasn't a dream.

"Yuna, this is real, you aren't dead. Have some rest for now and meet your fellow mates in the cafeteria in 20 minutes"

Yuna headed towards the cafeteria and was welcomed by Kai and others.
