39 Chapter 34 : ----------------------------------------------------------

It had been done. The Fox was tormented, his Armor was broken and skin all damaged and ripped out.

But, there was something really strange. Inside the Fox's skin could be seen a pale layer. Like a human's skin. But not much was visible due to the vapour formed.

"Halt! I'm gonna go check on him, wait."

"Okay. We're prepared to shoot, just give us your command!"

Viole went to investigate the Fox's body just to shock herself. It was Kai inside. But not the usual one, he looked different. His eyes seeked revenge. It was clear he wasn't the former Kai but a Devil.

"Xander, Viole reporting. The Fox was Kai the whole time."

"What?! How is that supposed to be? Is it possible to take him under?"

"I don't think so. His body is regenerating at a fast pace and once he's fully healed, we won't be able to hold him."

"Hmmm.....we can't do anything then. Finish him."

"Okay"

"Hey, Xander! Let me go! I need to help my friends!"

"No, you're our ultimate weapon and last resort. And, situations are under control now. You don't need to go."

"Hey, Kai. Before finishing you, I need to ask you, Why did you do this? Even Yuna."

"Huhuhhhhaaaah.....I did it for revenge!"

"What are you talking about? You were a hero! Your supposed death wasn't a waste, many people were saved!"

"Who the hell leaves their friend behind? We did come back for you when you left, didn't we?"

*Sweat* "Don't talk non sense. I would've killed myself if I'd heard that they died 'cause of me. But you, many lives were saved due to your heroic approach!"

"Well, I guess I'm a selfish guy myself. But I won't stop until my greed is calmed. I'll kill you all!"

"That's not gonna happen. You're going to die here and now! Goodbye, Kai."

As Viole swung her sword towards Kai's throat, she was surprised to see Yuna there opposing.

"What the hell are you doing? Let go!"

"No! I'm not going to let Kai die! We can talk over, right , Kai?"

"Hahahaaha....shut up you stupid fool. I'm going to kill you all!"

A while ago,

Yuna heard Byakuya and Kagura talking.

"Can you believe it?! The Fox is Kai! That moron! I'm not gonna forgive him for this."

"What did you say, Byakuya? The Fox is Kai?"

"Oh, ahhhh....Nothing. We were just making stuff up."

Yuna stood and attempted to run out of the room.

"Hey, hey...Your foot isn't in the greatest shape. You better take a rest. Situation's under control."

"You let me go or fight me if you want me to stay."

Byakuya silently let Yuna slip away.

"Hey, why did you?"

"Damn, I didn't have any choice. I would've been beaten to shit if I hadn't moved. We're in trouble now, this wasn't to be told to Yuna."

Tears automatically started flowing out of Yuna's eyes as she heard Kai.

"See, he has no intentions to talk this over. Now, move!"

By then, Kai's right arm was fully healed and he cast the ultimate skill.

"Dark-Light Pendulum!"

The whole area was destroyed in a second.

"Are Yuna and Viole okay? Report fast!"

"They're not spotted yet."

"Shit, that Kai."

"Reporting, The Fox has fled on the Sphinx!"

"Okay, quickly initiate search for Viole and Yuna!"
