27 Chapter 23 : The Mist Forest(4) --------------------------------------------------

There it stood, the brains behind all those Manwols. It looked like a Humanoid. A Manwol in the shape of a Human.

It had a hard covering on its vital body parts with thorns/spikes around him at various spots.

"This must be him. The one behind all the Manwol attacks. Quick, help Kagura!"

Kagura was being treated while the real threat stood there.

"Yuna, he's stronger than any of us here. I suppose he can wipe us all at once."

"Yeah, I feel his energy. Its tremendous."

"Charge!"

"No...!"

A foolish idiot initiated a false charge and several ones followed him. They had yet to realise the Manwol's power.

The Humanoid-Manwol fired a beam across horizontally and wiped them all. Only 17 remained.

"These stupid idiots, going after a false charge."

"Stay back you guys, let us handle it. You'll only hold us back."

Yuna, Viole and Byakuya charged together. The Humanoid-Manwol ignored Yuna and knocked Viole and Byakuya in one blow.

"How dare you ignore me!

Hyaaaa!" *Slash*

The Manwol was wounded deeply between the neck and the shoulder. But it quickly regenerated.

It then attacked Yuna. Yuna successfully blocked it with her shield but it cracked.

"Ahh....My shield....how did he...?"

*Punch* The Manwol punched Yuna in the stomach and blood spewed out of her mouth as she shouted in pain. She was in no condition to move, barely able to keep her eyes open. She looked at the Humanoid-Manwol heading towards her remaining comrades.

"Uhh...noooo.....I don't want to lose anyone anymore..."

"Get behind!"

Xander decided to protect them but he stood no chance. He did land a hit on it but didn't cause anything to happen but to get punched back it the face.

Xander got blown away by the hit and crashed on a tree.

Raged by the losses, one of the comrades charged in. But he was soon caught by the neck, blasted a hole through his stomach and ultimately died.

One by one, all of the remaining ones were getting butchered by it.

"No.....", Xander said faintly.

It headed towards Xander after clearing the rest. It picked him up and stared at him as if he knew Xander. As if he wanted to say something.

Yuna saw Xander was about to be killed like the others.

" Noooo!! I don't want to lose anyone close to me anymore!"

The Humanoid-Manwol stood there frozen.
