18 Chapter 14: Manwols gather? --------------------------------------------------
"Hey, this is the perfect time to test your moves!"
"Yes, we sure will."
"KAMINARI KARASHI! (Thunder Storm)"
The area got surrounded by thunder clouds and the plants were struck by lightning as per Viole's command.
"Wow, Viole...That's already a Class-2 skill! You're amazing! Let us take care of the rest."
KAEN KOGEKI! (Flame Strike)"
"KAZE SURASSHU! (Wind Slash)"
The others didn't have to break a sweat. Most of the plants were killed by Viole. They found no viable food source and started heading back.
Two nights passed, they met at the gate.
"Glad to see you and your team unharmed, Yuna!"
"Yes, glad to see you too. We found abundance of crystals that could power our base."
"That's great to hear, let's wait for team 3 and then we'll go inside together."
An hour passed, no sign of team 3. They started to get worried.
"Let's go inside, I'll ask Yena if she knows anything."
As Xander entered the control centre to talk to Yena, he found Yena all stressed and worried.
"What's the matter, Yena? Why do you look so tired?"
"Xander! you have finally returned! Is Yuna and her team okay?"
"Yes, they're all fine. But what's wrong?"
"We've lost Jin Seok...."
"What?! How? What happened? How are the others? Tell me where they are!"
"They returned yesterday. They're okay but some seem to be traumatized by what they saw. Kai and Byakuya are in their rooms but the other two are in the medical room."
Xander rushed towards the medical room to check on Hanabi and Shinosuke.
"Hey are you guys all right?"
The 2 didn't say anything. The face they had was terrible. Eyes all red, face pale and dark circles as if they didn't sleep or eat anything.
"You guys need to open your mouths and speak. You need to tell me what happened!"
"...."
None of the 2 cared about what Xander said. They were just sitting with that terrified face.
"Damn it! I guess I'll have to ask Byakuya and Kai."
Xander took Byakuya and Kai to the conference room.
"Now, tell me what happened."
Byakuya started explaining,
"Halt everyone, I see Manwols towards the entry of the Mist Jungle."
"We can't go in. There's Manwols inside and we won't have enough vision to know where they are. Let's hold and see what they're doing."
"Byakuya, look....many other Manwols are entering. Its almost as if they're having a gathering."
"Ahh.....Someone save me!"
As they were observing the Manwols from a high point, a bear-like Manwol grabbed Jin.
It snapped Jin into half as if breaking a pair of chopsticks. Blood spewed everywhere.
"Ahh....please, free me!"
"Guys, attack the Manwol!
SONIKKU INDO! (Sonic Wind)"
The Manwol fled after being hit by Supersonic Waves. Jin's top half was left behind and the other was taken away.
Jin lied there with blood flowing from his lower stomach and mouth.
" Let me help him!
HEAL POOL!
Come on, heal quick. Jin, just hold on!"
"I can't anymore....." *eyes closed*
"Nooooo....!"
