17 Chapter 13: The Outer World --------------------------------------------------
"Today, we're going to train for the expedition. We don't know when a disaster may be heading for us. So, we need to be prepared at all times. For that, we need to make moves of our own, manipulate your energy into forms that can be beneficial for you and your teams. They can be offensive, defensive or healing moves. Keep in mind, there are many other categories such as evasive, support and control moves. Put your minds to it and create moves of your own by thinking what your respective elements may be good at."
They were taken to a training ground with various obstacles and dummies to train and test their skills.
"Woah! This place is enormous!"
"Hey Yuna, would you like to train together? We can help each other at what we're lacking."
"Yeah, sure. Yuna. Let's go."
"Uhh....why does everyone have to go after Yuna? She's mine. That beautiful straight black hair, those velvet eyes and her soft shiny lips. All I ever want in a girl." *Blush*
"Hey Kai, wanna hop in with us? Me and Byakuya are gonna train together."
"No. Have fun alone with him, huh!"
"What's wrong with him? I was just trying to be nice to him. Whatever, he must be having a bad day maybe."
They all trained the whole day trying to figure out what kind of move can be carved with their powers.
Soon, many had made a move but none were perfected. They sure had to put in practice to perfect them.
The day of the first expedition came. The teams assembled and left for 3 different locations. Yuna's Team(1) left for the northern dungeons, Xander's Team(2) left for South Eastern Mountains and Byakuya's Team(3) headed for the Mist Jungle. They had a plan of returning in 2 days time. They will be spending 2 nights in the wild, taking enough food and water with tents to rest in.
"Okay, the day has come. Remember not to do anything that may put you and your team's life into risk. Its the leaders duty to bring them back alive."
"Yes, we are aware of our duties. We will do our best! We're heading out now."
They left for their destinations after they had their last chat.
The Northern Dungeons,
"Be careful everyone, we don't need to attract the Manwols unnecessarily. Keep yourself in formation. This place looks really dangerous. It may also be a Manwol habitat."
"Yuna, nothing is showing up in the heat radar. I think its clear."
As they went deeper into the dungeons, they started spotting fragments of some sort of crystals. After further inspection, it was found out that this crystal has a high carbon percentage and can be used as a form of energy.
"Let's go in a bit deeper to check if there's any harm."
As they went in, it was a jackpot. The interior had dozens of crystals embedded in it.
"This many crystals. We can mine it and take it to base the next time we come. We'll have to report to the base and bring equipments."
"Yes, this will help us sustain for much longer."
The South Eastern Mountains,
"Guys, keep focus and composure, we picked up some Manwol movements in the radar earlier. We need to be extra careful"
The mountains were densely covered with flora. There were weird shaped plants, some with beautiful flowers and some with pungent scents to attract small preys.
The team kept walking in search of viable food sources for the future. Little did they know that they went in a little too far into the woods.
"Aahh! something's grabbed onto my legs! Can't seem to get rid of it!"
"Hey move it, I'll cut it." *Slash*
"Phew, thanks Xander."
"Be careful, the harm may not be over yet."
The plants had been alerted by the noise they made while trying to free Veronica from whatever grabbed her foot. The vines slowly started moving, they seemed as if they could sense where they were. They sure are in danger now.
