14 Chapter 10: Drive Ceremony --------------------------------------------------

"Yuna, its nice to see you again! I was really worried about you."

"Huh! Why would you be worried about me?"

*Blush* "Ahh...uhmmm.....Yeah, we're comrades so why would I not be?"

"Okay....let's have lunch now, I'm hungry"

"Yeah, I'm starving too! Yuna, let's sit together!"

"Why is he after me?!", Yuna growled in her mind. "Uhmmm.....okay."

They had their lunch and were chatting about the simulation.

"Attention everyone, please head to the auditorium. An important announcement is going to be made."

Xander was standing on the stage with a strange stone beside him placed in a glass box.

"The Driver Ceremony is going to be held tomorrow. As we now know our affinities, you will be awarded with a Drive Stone each. The Drive Stones take different shapes and sizes according to your affinity and potential. This here beside me is a Drive Stone, when you come in contact with it, the stone will change its shape and size according to your statistics. Be here at the auditorium by 10AM tomorrow. You may disperse now"

Everyone headed to their rooms excited and curious about what their stones will turn into.

"Drive Stones, huh? Does that mean I will not get one? Why was I sent here if I don't have any affinity for Chrysalis? Was it out of pity?"

Viole thinking about the fact that she isn't having any affinity made her feel depressed and furious. She slept early in order to stop thinking about it.

The next day, everyone except Viole were at the auditorium by 9:45AM.

"She must be sad, she won't be receiving a Driver Stone...."

*Knock* "Xander, the ceremony is about to start, let's go."

"Oh...Okay, coming! Hey Yena, before heading out, I had to ask you a question, is it possible for a person who has less or no affinity towards the Chrysalis to gain it after practising?"

"You must be worried about Viole. I feel bad for her too, but even you know that's impossible, we were the few who showed affinity. No human on Earth was able to gain affinity by practising any form of art. Its just a gift from God. Okay, now let's go or we'll get late."

"Yea, sure!"

Shortly, the Drive Ceremony began.

"First up is Kai Yakuzo."

As Kai went up and picked up the stone, it started glowing. The whole auditorium was blinded by the light emitted from the stone. As the light dimmed, Kai held a staff on his hand.

"I feel it! I feel so much stronger! I feel as if I can heal the whole auditorium!"

"Yes, once you receive your Driver, you gain its power." ,Xander exclaimed with excitement.

Turn by turn, everyone had received their Drive Stones. There were weapons and armory of all sorts, Bows, Swords, Shields, etc.

"Yena! Look, I have a staff. What do u have?"

"My Drive Stone turned into a shield and a one-handed sword."

"What?! Is that even possible?"

"The only explanation is her affinity towards 2 elements." , Xander came and answered.

*Screech* "Xander! Byakuya Lao, who had the lowest affinity of all turned out to be 5th in terms of affinity ranking after he received his Driver. It turns out that his affinity inside the simulation and in real were different."

"What?! If that's the case then bring Viole to the affinity test room immediately. We need to check again if she has any affinity."

As Viole was rushed to the affinity test room, she got tested immediately.

"Xander, it's showing that she has no affinity."

"Yena, please check again"

"Yes, I checked twice before reporting it to you. She has no affinity."

Viole, devastated ran out of the room.

"Viole, wait!"

Xander searched for Viole everywhere but she was no where to be found. Just as he was about to give up, Yena came rushing towards him.

"Kagura told me she saw Viole go outside the base."

"Yena, quick, prepare a team ASAP. We'll go search for her as soon as the sun rises!

Its not safe out there alone."
