4 Memories

After Ling Ren left , in another room there was a loud discussion happening. Eventhough the older men left they still saw the entire showdown that had occurred in the main hall.

Divine sense was like a radar that could be gained when a person reach the core formation realm. It was said that if a person is powerful enough, he can surch an entire planet and see every blade of grass.

Of course it was only a legend and no one had ever witnessed such a thing.

"What the hell was that fist strike?" An old man in blue robe asked with shock still on his face.

"I didn't feel an ounce of spirit qi in that strike at all." Another old man stated. Similar conversations were heard thorough out the room the old men were in.

The reason they were shocked was because that fist strike was pure physical power rivaling a peak core formation cultivator.

It was unheard of in the history of the continent that an 18 year old could reach peak core formation with just body cultivation. It was an acknowledged fact that body cultivation was exponentially harder than spritial cultivation.

Not knowing the weight of what he had done Ling Ren was in his mansion sitting in a lotus position.

In front of him was the box with the glowing space stone he got from the young man he didn't know of. He was contemplating about how he should go about dealing with the stone. On one hand he was really worried that it might harm him but on the other hand it was the first time his body actually wanted something.

'Whatever if I don't take these risks how can I become a powerful being. I can't always be scared of the unknown.' With a resolute look on his face he grabbed the stone off of the box.

'So, what now?' Ling Ren held the stone in his hand as he observed it closely, but there was no reaction at all.

He put the stone back in the box and dosed his eyes as he ponder on how to absorbe the stone.

Just as Ling Ren closed his eyes the stone in the box started to float out of the box and shot at Ling Rens forehead. Then the entire fist size stone turned into thick liquid like substance and entered into his head.

All Ling Feng felt was a sting and he blacked out.

When Ling Feng opened his eyes he was no longer in his room but on a mountain top. He tried to move but he couldn't it was like he was in a lucid dream. Since he couldn't move he decided to observe what was happening.

It was a lonely mountain top with nothing but a lonely boy on it. The boy was very good looking, but it was hard to notice it at first glance because of all the dirt on him.

The young boy was swinging a rusty sword in a very rhythmic pace showing that he had practiced many times.

"I'll enter that sect no matter what it takes" the boy had a determined look on his face as he gritted his teeth.

Then everything change and a new scene apeared before Ling Ren. It was inside a simple looking hut this time and a young man was in it. He had a robe with an emblem of a sect on it.

Immediately Ling Ren could tell that this young man was the boy he saw previously.

This time the young man was sitting in front of a culdron. Sweat dripping down his haggard face as he focus hard on concocting the pill.

Boom! The cauldron exploded.

"I'll get it right the next time for sure" the young man had the same look in his eyes as the boy on the mountain top.

The scene changed again. This time Ling Ren was witnessing a middle aged man.

The little boy had become the most renowned alchemist in his generation. He was already married and had kids. They became renowned geniuses cultivators and famous alchemists.

He watched the boy battle against his enemies to protect his home.

Another scene appeared and the man had already stepped into the immortal realm. He watched as all his peers die of old age including his wife. He started to resent the heavens for being unfair.

The scene changes. Ling Ren was in outer space looking at a handsome man. Around him body parts could be seen floating around.

The man was still the same as he was but there was something about him that made him looked ancient. He was all alone, everyone he knew had already perished with time.

Sigh.

"Time is the bane of all existence." The man faced Ling Ren and said. Then he closed his eyes and faded into nothingness. Leaving only a stone the size of a fist.

Ling Ren snaped out of the illusion, his mind reeling in shock by what the man has just said.
