5 First Interaction

Hahahahaha!!

Loud laughter echoed across the vast mountain scaring away all the animals and even the weaker demonic beasts. The stronger demonic beast looks towards a huge mansion where the laughter was coming from and growled in annoyance.

"Why the f**k am I so lucky?!!" Right now Ling Ren was jumping around his mansion laughing maniacally. "First I found out I was engaged to a goddess and know this?!!!"

Hahahahah!

He started laughing again.

Cough* Cough*

Ling Ren froze. He looked towards the door and saw Ling Feng staring at him with a weird gaze. Behind him was a majestic looking middle-aged man. 'Fuck.'

"Hello father, and uncl- his majesty the emperor" Ling Ren acted like nothing happened and greeted them with a slight bow.

"What's with all the formality? Address me as Uncle Ji and soon it's going to be father."The Emperor smirked said."

"What are you saying father, it's embarrassing." A soft melodic voice said to the emperor.

"Haha, I haven't introduced you two yet." "Ren'er this is my daughter Ji Lan and Lan'er this is the uncle Ling's son I was talking about Ling Ren."The emperor moved over and displayed a figure in the doorway."

The moment Ling Ren laid eyes on her he went into a daze. She was more beautiful than 5 years ago. Now she also had a lithe figure on top of her celestial beauty.

"Let's get inside and talk." Ling Feng spoke up and headed towards the chairs in the room.

Ling Ren snapped out of his fantasy and awkwardly gestures them to come in.

They started chatting for awhile exchanging some stories and try to catch up on what's happening.

Uncle Ji stood up after awhile and said, " Why don't you youngsters get to know each other."

Ling Feng also stood up and gave Ling Ren a thumb up and walked out with uncle Ji.

Awkward silence envelops the entire room.

Ahem* Ling Ren cleared his throat and was about to say something when he heard a snicker. He looked at her and saw her covering her mouth.

Ling Ren started to get paranoid. Sweat threatens to start rolling down his face, but he pulled himself together.

"Ummm." Ling Ren was struggling to start a conversation.

"Let's take a walk outside." She suggested with a smile.

Ji Lan couldn't hold her giggle any longer. Ever since 2 years ago she had dreaded for this day. Getting nervous every time she imagines them spending time together.

2 years ago her father had told her that she would be getting engaged to the 3rd young master of the Ling clan, Ling Ren. Her father then told her many good qualities of the young master and how much he approves of him.

She had to do her own research to feel assured, so she started digging into everything that Ling Ren had done and accomplish. The list wasn't that long since he was never involved in banquets or tournaments.

The only thing he was well known for was injuring many servants and clan members when he was younger. He was then banished by the clan chief to live in the mountains outside of the city.

Some say the clan chief had made those excuses to remove him from the city so that he could do inappropriate things in the mountain where nobody would notice.

There were even rumors of him being an ugly, arrogant man who raped and killed many girls in the city so the clan chief had to banish him away from society.

The rumors were outrageous, but there were still some aspects of truth to it which made her sick. Of course these were just rumors, but it didn't make her any better since she'll have to live with this man when she grows older.

This nervousness was greatly reduced when they were coming up the mountain and she heard him screaming and laughing about being engaged to a goddess. It even made her blush.

The sight of him jumping around the house especially eased her mind a lot. She realized that he was just a misunderstood person nothing like the rumors.

When they were left alone she realized he was more nervous than she was.

Ling Ren also smiled and nodded his head.
