Prologue [1]

-Thump Thump

"P-Please! Wh-what do you want? Money? Women?"

A boy who appeared to be about 16 was seen backed into a corner by a man in all black with a mask on

Shuuuuu—!

The man drew his sword and coldly responded

"Your life"

-Drop

The boy fell to his knees in distraught sputtering out "Y-you k-know wh-who my family are right?"

"I don't see the problem," The man said indifferently

!!! 

The boy opened his eyes and regained his regalia spitting as if venom was coming out of his mouth "You-! they'll find you, and murder you so cruel you'll beg for dea-KEUHKK!"

The man kicked him to the side and only then did the boy see the lackluster grey eyes that seemed to hold no emotion… grew?

"ha-ha, boy, you and I both know that they'll never suspect a thing" He said cooly

"?"

"Haaa," he paused momentarily and continued out one word that shook the boys whole foundation to its core

"Kani Hildegar"

"!!!" "N-no way" Seemingly losing all hope the boy could only ask himself why

'What did I to do get such a target put on me by a teacher of the academy?' He thought crestfallen

"Heh, you see now? anyway I've humored you long enough, you can die now" He said with malicious intent flashing through his eyes

The boy started at him with hope which caught him off-guard

"Hm? Wait… The boy… He's looking… past me?" As a trained assassin the man quickly backed up and readied his blade

'Just my luck'

"I'm here now so… you might as well run while you can before you die" a man donned in a navy bluish cloak stated confidently

"Ahhhh~" The assassin looked towards the boy and said "You live longer it seems, but don't think we won't target you… Forever!" with that fleeting statement the man twisted his neck and silence followed

-…

"Damned puppeteer" The man in the cloak cursed

Realizing his life was just saved the boy spoke up quickly saying "T-Thank you butler Yuren!"

He stared at the boy with pity lingering deep within his consciousness and said "Of course young master, let's get out of this forest, the lord is waiting for your arrival."

"Un!"

And with that, the boy followed the butler home…

But in another universe, another boy was going through something else and these souls had been tied together through some kind of fate

Who knows how their story will unfold

Huktu!—

A spitball came hurling towards this supposedly knocked out boy's face and the perpetrator left him with a last word stating harshly

"If I catch your loser ass trying to snitch on me again… I'm sure you know I'll really KILL you, Dan!"

Walking away after that, the boy stayed on the ground for a minute or so and got up wiping his clothes

"Sh*t, what am I gonna tell grandma now?" he muttered

This had been a daily routine for the boy, come to school, pay for bullies lunch, get forced to keep doing it through domination, and quite frankly, Dan was tired of it all

Huuuuuhaaaaa!—

Taking a deep breath, Dan calmed himself and thought to himself

'What did I even do to this dude?'

(Start of School Year)

Dan was a good-looking guy, though was a very shy individual so he didn't sit right with the nerds, nor the jocks and was stuck in the middle

With good luck came girls and with girls came unnecessary problems for him so his whole life he stayed away from girls adhering to his grandma's warning as she once said "They're leaches In high school I tell ya'! leaches!"

With his grandma being his only caretaker after his parents died in a car crash, she had truly saved his life, and Dan would do anything for her so with that advice, he kept away from females until one day…

"Hey~ what's your name?" a girl with dirty brown hair and green eyes asked him

"Dan" He had said succinct

"Tch, you are no fun, not even asking a girl's name?" She pouted "You'd be better if you used that good-looking face to your advantage," she said trying to flirt.

"As you can see" he gestured with his hands letting her realize his surroundings "I like it better this way," Dan said cracking a smile

The girl had stomped away at her attempt to flirt with him and the boys looked at him with the most contempt expression ever

(Present Day)

'Haaaa, those sheep' Dan said inwardly, of course he'd be lying if he said she wasn't beautiful, hell she might have been the prettiest girl he's ever seen but for him, his grandma's wish was priority number 1

Making his way to his house and thinking of an excuse, Dan quickly washed away his worry when he thought about sports

'Yes! When I get home I'll grab my soccer ball or something'

-Brrt, Brrt!

'Huh? who's texting me?' Dan checked his phone and saw it was his best friend Sean

(S: Yo bro, have you checked out the story I told you to read a week ago?!?)

'Sh*ttt, I forgot'

(D: Nope, a lot has been going on recently)

(S: No worries no worries, just make sure you read it by tonight, It's really interesting)

(D: I got you man, love you, brother)

(S: hehe heh likewise)

Dan chuckles slightly at his antics and puts away his phone continuing his walk to his grandma's house

'Home sweet home' Dan thought and as he entered the door he was assaulted with a sharp pain in his abdomen

"ARHK, Grandma It hurts!!!"

"Silly boy, I've missed you" My grandma, though old in body, was youthful in spirit and it was very warming to be around her

"Still…" She said narrowing her eyebrows and visibly piercing my skin

"You get home later and later and come back with more bruises, this can't be the sport! are you perhaps…?"

Dan shook his head furiously "No grandma, I'm not getting 'bullied', it's just real intense."

"Okay sonny," she said with still half suspicion and he felt like a weight was lifted off his shoulder

Huuuuuuu!— 'close'

"Alright Grandma, I'm going upstairs love you bye!" Dan said very quickly

"Love you to kid bye"

Dan rushed into his room and immediately sprawled out on his bed

"Haaa, I'm tired after that beating, ma-ma-ahh maybe a little sleep won't hurt right?"

Little did Dan know, his life would never be the same
