"Wait, where am I?" Lucas murmured, his voice shaking with uncertainty. His gaze darted around, taking in the towering trees and the rustling foliage. A quick touch to his pendant—a Poké Ball-shaped trinket he had never seen before—offered no reassurance.

As he tried to process the situation, a sudden movement caught his eye. A small, orange creature with a flickering flame on its tail emerged from the underbrush. Lucas's eyes widened in shock—it was a Charmander, a Pokémon he had only seen in video games and TV shows.

"What the... Charmander?" Lucas stammered his heart racing. He watched as the creature approached, its eyes locking onto his own with a mix of curiosity and friendliness.
