2 The Beginning
In the year 9,678,899,489 of Celestial Emperor Calendar.
A red streak if light broke tunneled through the barrier of time and space. It led to chaos wherever it went. Hundreds of civilization planets destroyed in the journey of red streak of light.
A few months later, the red streak of light opened up a space node connecting to a lower-rank pocket dimension in Vast Immortal Domain of Eastern Heaven. Even though it was a power-rank pocket dimension its cost was a million of high-tier Immortal Jades! Creating an independent dimension is very difficult even for strong cultivators especially if it has to support life!
Perhaps the red streak of light was out of power or it has lost the Will to continue ; the red streak of light didn't create any damage in the pocket dimension.
The pocket dimension has an area of some thousand miles. From bird's-eye view the inside of pocket dimension looked like a farm.
In fact, this pocket dimension was a place specially created for poultry farming. The farm is divided into three areas. One was for egg-laying chickens, the second was for meat-producing chickens, and the last one was for the poultry man. The chickens were no ordinary chickens! They were spirit chickens! Their structure was totally different from those available in the mortal world.
The 'poultry man' didn't consist of some ordinary mortals as well. The poultry man in the pocket dimension were cultivators! Cultivators who are considered as Gods in the mortal world!
There were a dozen of cultivators managing this poultry dimension. Some of them were at Qi Refining stage and some at Foundation Establishment stage. The main supervisor was at Golden Core stage.
None of them noticed the arrival of a red streak of light as it didn't create any disturbance. It was something far beyond their scope of understanding.
The red streak of light stopped after arriving at the meat-producing chickens area as it transformed into a small red colored bead the size of a pigeon's eye. The bead didn't look anything impressive from the first glance but if a supreme expert looked closely they could notice the profound aura of the bead.
A newly born chicken noticed the red bead when he was looking for food. The chickens were left in open for rearing them to the best quality.
The chicken, in his ignorance, gobbled up the bead believing it as food. Soon the body of young chicken started trembling. It looked as if the chicken might explode, but perhaps it was a fate or scheme of destiny, the young chicken survived.
The young chicken soon fainted. The chickens have low intelligence and low capacity to store memories. Bead moved to the brain of the young chicken, where it started mutating the inner organs of the chicken.
From outside, the chicken looked same but within his body was going a total rebirth. His mind remained small but its capacity for intelligence and other functions was no less than that of humans! The bead was truly heaven-defying.
After an hour or so, the chicken waked up. He is confused with the sudden blackout. Just as the chicken was about to go for finding food, he let out a terrible shriek!
The young chicken was 'seeing' unbelievable scenarios at a very fast pace.
The destruction of galaxies. The formation of life. Terrible wars which led to genocide.
The young chicken also saw a young man fusing with the red bead. The young man achieved unimaginable success in the cultivation world due to the help from bead. The chicken saw the entire life of the young man till his death. The chicken wasn't able to see the cause of death though.
So many new memories made the chicken cry out in pain and fear. Few hours ago, the young chicken didn't even have the capacity for recording so many memories. Even though now his brain underwent mutation, the memories spanned thousands of years so it was impossible for the chicken to store them without going crazy.
The memories of a person defines the very personality. If not for the help from the red bead, the chicken would become a replica of the young man. The presence of the bead prevented the chicken from turning into an idiot.
Soon, the chicken gained his senses back. The mutation and the new memories have scarred the chicken.
The young chicken wasn't scared by the memories of the war or the terrible genocide.
What shocked the young chicken was that the young man and many others from his memories were eating chickens!
From the memories, the chicken was sure that the young man truly enjoyed eating chickens. Not only the young man but even countless people in the world enjoyed them.
The people of the world have water in their mouth when they think about fried or roast chicken!
The supreme expert from his memories especially loved baroque chicken with a stuffing of foie grass, truffle and brioche piped under the skin before roasting!
The young chicken was no longer an ordinary spirit chicken! The bead has increased his intelligence followed by the new memories, he was now a totally different existence!
Well, fundamentals he is still a chicken! People of this universe 'love' chicken no matter how different they are!
Actually, people like more evolved chickens! It means a far better taste and more nutrition content!
The young chicken is scarred out of his wits when he thinks about his fate.
From the memories and his new intelligence, he was sure what was going to happen to him!
Mother, why does everyone loves fried chicken?!
The young chicken was crying thinking about his poor fate.
"Nooo! I can't allow myself to become food!"
