1 Prologue
The most important thing in the world is not love or power. The thing which controls the world is not the beauties or the wealth.
What truly controls the world is food! No matter how beautiful, powerful or rich you are you can't survive without food.
Food is life. For a piece of bread, a hungry man would do the impossible. For a slice of meat a staved man wouldn't hesitate to take a life.
You can't satisfy a hungry stomach with beauties or wealth. The greatest of the sins is gluttony!
Martial artists can cultivate with the energy of the world, and thus gain power unimaginable to mortals.
Even though, the martial artists are almost god-like existence they too can't live without food.
In the end, whether it is a mortal or a martial artist for them food is nothing but energy. The energy which can let them live.
But what they don't want to consume is " plain energy".
What they want to consume is "delicious energy".
A martial artist may have unimaginable powers and extended longevity but how could they lose their most basic desire for food? If a living being lacks the seven emotions and six desires then how is it different from a non-living being?
What is the use of Immortality if you can't enjoy the pleasures of life?
From eons, chickens have been considered as one of the most popular food items both in the mortal and martial world. Chickens are easy to breed as they require less time with low requirements for resources.
For billions of years, chickens have been reared as a source of meat and eggs. Rich or poor everyone loves chicken!
When people say they "love" chicken... the love they talk about is different from the love between couples or friends or family.
What they love is fried chicken! The delicious chicken which makes one's mouth full of water.
There is nothing better than a chicken to satisfy the craving of the stomach. Of course, there are different varieties of chicken. Even the varieties of chicken further differ based on the way of rearing.
Martial artists require massive energy so how can they be satisfied by ordinary chickens? The martial artists rear spirit chickens!
The spirit chickens are thousands of times more delicious than the best chicken from the mortal category.
Reason? Spirit chickens have their flesh and blood embedded with the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. Their body has undergone a massive evolution which has made them more powerful which ultimately leads to better taste and more energy!
Our story is set in the Vast Immortal Domain of Eastern Heaven. The law of jungle strives here just like it does in every part of the world.
A long time ago there used to live an Immortal known by his title 'Reverend Luscious'. A funny title, but he self-titled him such as he pursued the Great Dao of Food.
In the Vast Immortal Domain, the tales of Reverend Luscious were many. He would go to any lengths for having the best food.
He has purchased a pocket dimension for millions of high-tier Immortal Jades just so that he can have poultry farming in a special dimension!
Reverend Luscious wanted to create the best environment for rearing chicken. He wanted to rear the most delicious chicken in the entire universe, and use it to achieve his Dao!
One day a red streak of light passed through the space and time of the universe as it entered the pocket dimension where the chickens were reared.
The streak of light stopped in front of a small chicken and turned into a small red bead. The young chicken having no knowledge thought of it as a food and gobbled up the bead...
This is how the story started or at least that's how it's recorded in the annals of the history. Historical records are full of adventures of the great chicken who challenged the entire world.
Scholars and historians have believed that the 'Chronicles of the Great Chicken' by Jade Emperor is the most accurate record of the great chicken.
The Jade Emperor writes how the great chicken invaded the celestial farm of Celestial Court. According to Jade Emperor, the great chicken has heard rumors about the great quality of corn so the chicken stole right under Celestial Emperor's nose!
The Celestial Court was left embarrassed when the details of this event leaked. Celestial Emperor then issued an S+ arrest warrant for the great chicken! The bounty was 100 billion Celestial Jades!!
This incident is but a small adventure in the life of the great chicken. Many mercenary groups and star hunters were after the great chicken for everyone believed it was the tastiest chicken out there. The rise of the great chicken was followed by the rise of massive mercenary groups and hunters dedicated to catching the great chicken.
During the Celestial Emperor Era, the great chicken was known as the most shameless living being in the entire universe!
Jade Emperor's records further detail the biggest hunting operation against the great chicken which leads to the greatest war known to the three realms! The great chicken came victorious after defeating the Celestial Emperor!
The defeat of Celestial Emperor led to the start of Dark Chicken Era!
During Dark Chicken Era, the great chicken was so infamous that millions of spirit chicken rebelled following the example of great chicken. They founded many cults dedicated to the great chicken. Even other races joined the chicken cults in support of the great chicken. Many religions dedicated to the great chicken suppressed the local gods!
