Prologue Part One

The Godkin wars destroyed the world once. Egotistical, vain and motivated by their divine parentage the Godkin killed one another and left the planet in a state unfit for life. The Godkin perished, no more able to survive the world they had created than any mere mortal. Of course, the Gods raged at this result, a draw, where none of their children stood supreme.

Petty beings, unable to harm or hinder one another within the divine realms, the Gods run a gambit of contests to display dominance over each other. The Godkin were supposed to be the ultimate contest, with the winner claiming our realm as their prize. Godkin are not just born, but made; when a child is conceived the Gods may interfere with their creation, infusing the child with divine essence. The result is that the child shares little physiologically with their mortal parents and gains a deep connection with their new divine parent. Thus, Godkin are born.

This process is draining, the Gods may only create so many Godkin within a time period, increasing the strength or quantity of their children requires even more power from the Gods. The Godkin wars, once properly started, had left the Gods incredibly weak and they retreated into their divine realms to rest and recover.

Ten thousand years passed, and the world has begun to heal. Trees and grass grow over once infertile land, new races have evolved to tame the lands. Cities have begun to form, in some parts of the world nations have begun to rise! Civilization is returning.

Alongside the power of the Gods.

Raderius, the Undying King. Cruel, merciless, the destroyer of liberty. If Raderius reins supreme I have no doubt that the world will be a empty place where nothing lives, or dies, unless it be by his will.

I fear for the future. Not just for one in which Raderius rules, but one where the Godkin Wars destroy what the races of this world have fought so hard to build. The destruction of our new beginning. Yet, I know that right now, the Gods are watching and...I can see it.

They're laughing at me.
