Awaken

Inside a cave, glowing particles began to gather at a place. Soon the gathered particles began to crystalize and formed a huge crystal. It shined in the cave spreading light and vanquishing the darkness. After forming the crystal, these particles didn't stop. They started to gather beside the crystal and formed a cocoon.

Slowly the cocoon grew larger. A faint heart beat could be heard from it. This situation continued like that for unknown amount of time. Finally, one day movement could be seen inside the cocoon. Whatever it was inside the cocoon, it was waking up. Soon, a pale hand tore the cocoon from the inside and came out of the cocoon.

This was how I woke up. That creature was me.

As soon as I came out of the cocoon, the cocoon disintegrated into glowing particles and sub merged inside the my body. I was startled by the sudden process, but my body didn't feel any danger. Rather somehow I knew, it was good for my body.

As soon as the process ended, I was blinded by sudden light emitting from the crystal near me. At that time I instinctively knew what to do. Following my instinct, I put my hand on the crystal.

Suddenly, many information was loaded in to my brain. I got to know who or what am I. What was my purpose? What was the crystal?

"I am Raizel, a Dungeon Lord. I am born from mana by the world herself. My duty is to manage my dungeon and maintain the balance between mana and miasma."

This was everything I could summarize from my memories. Other than this, I have memories of how a dungeon works and some basic knowledge necessary for survival and about this world.

From my memories, I am somewhere in the outer region of Ishjag Mountain range in the continent of Marg. This world is full of different species spread through out the seven continents. These species have the ability to use mana. Nobody can use miasma without getting corrupted or losing their intelligence. They become a mindless beast of destruction and carnage. Mana is positive energy, then miasma is its opposite. Both of the energy are necessary.

A world can't have mana without having miasma. As mana increases, so does miasma. This is where dungeons come in to work.

Dungeons are places or structures where mana and miasma are heavily gathered. This attract living beings capable of using mana and dark beasts who are already corrupted by miasma.

When a dungeon comes in to existence, it convert miasma into beasts and bound them to it. This way others can come and kill them. This helps to decrease miasma around that area making it easier for others to live. When a dark beast is killed, a mana crystal is dropped from it.

This crystal can be used by other species to increase their mana quickly. Rather than inhaling mana directly from air, mana crystals provide a easier source of mana. This is one of the reason, dungeons are famous.

Analyzing my memories I slowly learned all of this. As dungeons gathered huge amount of dark beast, it became difficult to manage them. Hence the world gave birth to Dungeon Lords. They are tasked to manage the dungeon using a system to help him.

While I was going through each memories, I heard a bell ringing in head.

[Ding! Welcome Raizel to the Dungeon Administration System or DAS.]

As soon as I heard the mechanical voice in my mind, I knew this was the system which would help me managing my dungeon. Curious, I asked

"Can you give me a tutorial?"

[Yes, DAS has in built tutorial which you can access anytime. Do you want to proceed?]

"Yes"

The mechanical voice started to tell me everything that I had to know.

[Welcome Raizel to this tutorial. DAS helps it's Dungeon Lord to manage his dungeon more efficiently. To access DAS you just have to think 'Activate'. It will appear as a holographic window in front of you. Only you or who you have given permission can access it. No one can see your panel but you can see others. To provide better result, DAS can upgrade itself according to it's Dungeon Lord's usage. Every Dungeon Lord has it own unique system.

In the beginning, DAS window has three basic tabs. First one Status

This window shows you your name, titles, race, total mana, Dungeon Points, no. of floors and details of living beings inside the floors of dungeon.

Mana Point shows the amount of mana you currently have in your body. Dungeon point is the total amount of miasma available for your use. A dungeon is run by miasma. So the more miasma your dungeon has, the more features you will get in the future. You can get more miasma by buying more dungeon beasts from the store. They will give you certain amount of miasma daily.

You can also expand your dungeon territory so that dark beast will get attracted towards it. Also any living creature capable of using mana living in your territory will give you dungeon points daily. 1 DP = 1 miasma]

[Store is place where you can buy various items, Dungeon Building Material, dungeon beasts and any other thing you need to manage your dungeon.]

[Last you have Inventory tab where you can store any non living thing.]

[Now you should start building your dungeon outside the cave. This cave has become your room. This place is unavailable to anyone. Even if someone cleared the dungeon, this place will remain hidden. But if you are killed outside your dungeon boundary, you will be killed permanently and another dungeon lord will be created from the crystal. But if you are killed inside your dungeon, your body will be created again and your achievements will be reset. Under no circumstance you should tell the location of your room to anyone. Once you tell them, they can kill you and take your place as Dungeon Lord.]

[As a Dungeon Lord you have many advantages that others do not have. Like this system or your growth potential. Using DAS you can reach any height as long as you are alive.]

After the voice finished its explanation, I reviewed everything what the voice had explained. So basically you have to do everything yourself or use dungeon beast to help you build it. To create a dungeon floor, you can either built it like a tower or built it underground or both.
