9 Chapter VIII: Confrontation - The Great Loss

Argus was overwhelmed by the power he attained..

Argus: I feel it! Its like a fire burning inside me!

Rafaela: What have you become?

Argus: I have become a god! And now I shall eliminate the weak and the powerless!

Rafaela tries to stop her but Argus was far too strong. Unable to confront him, Rafaela ruhes back to the surface looking back at the corrupted Argus.

Argus: I am inevitable!

Rafaela: This isn't the way of the Aether

Argus: The way of the Aether is for the weak!

Argus attacks Rafaela with full force... His blade pierced through Rafaela's wings but Rafaela had nothing to do but evade Argus' attacks. With her power she desperately tries to heal her and Argus' soul but her efforts were hopeless.

The Petrify spell was wearing off when Alice escaped from being static. Witnessing everything she immediately helps Rafaela to stop Argus.

Alice: Pls don't let me do this.

Argus: Pathetic!

Alice: You are not the Argus I know but don't you worry I'll help you overcome this demon.

Argus: The Argus you once knew was weak but now I am a god!

They then fought each other,

Their battle was immense and lasted for hours. But Alice didn't use all her powers in defying Argus. She was hesitating because she remembers the memories she had with Argus. But as she stares at him she cannot see the Argus she once knew and decided to use the greatest power she possessed: the Light Ode a skill that absorbs dark energy and converts it into light. As she blinked pass Argus she knocks him with a stunn and casted the Light Ode.

As she slowly drains the life out of Argus she went on tears while Argus desperately tries to walk away from her but he was pummeled by the light and was constantly slowed until he reaches the edge of the cliff. Knowing that Argus would jump, Alice swiftly grabs his hand hoping to save him but Argus cuts his own arm and leaps willingly to the cliff.
