Chapter 1 The Vast Expanse, Awakening
In a time unknown, there exists a universe, The Vast Expanse. A universe which contains many living beings and races which are like the myriad stars themselves.
Of all these races is the humans, the elves, the dwarves, the dryads, the giants, the fairy, the demons are the major races which rule majority of the land. Countless years ago, all the races had equal share of the universe but 3.1 billion years ago, but everything changed when the Human Empire attacked.
A billion year war was waged and humans took control of half of the universe when the conquest stopped for some unknown reason. Using this time the other races made a alliance called the Anti-Human alliance. This alliance was built just to fight the human race. After a billion years, there was finally balance and peace.
100 million years ago, this stalemate was broken. The Seven leaders of the human race who were at a stage which no one else were disappeared. They just vanished into thin air. While this news is kept under tight lock for a hundred million years, all of this is about to change. The balance of power has shifted as the playing filed is finally level for the first time in 3.1 billion years and chaos which was not seen in many years will ensue.

Origin planet was said to be the birth place of humans, formerly called Planet Earth. As human civilisation advanced and hundreds of thousands of years passed, the planet was dying and humans and all life on the planet was on the verge of death.
But one day, a tremor shook the whole planet as a strange energy flowed into the world. It completely changed the world. Planet Earth became millions of times larger, the solar system changed and a new system was born. Life began sprouting on the previously dead planets of the solar system and new planet filled with strange life came into being.
Human also underwent a huge change as unknown memories awoke inside them. Along with those memories, many gained immense power. Various methods were unearthed from the deepest caverns of the human mind to awaken the ancestral methods which were similar to those seen in fantasy tales.
Those who gained memories also gained the ability to level up or cultivate as they say. But those who didn't get any memories were unable to cultivate. These people automatically became the dregs of society. Social norms underwent a huge change. It was like the entire human world was warped into a primitive civilisation where might is right.
Numerous wars were waged between the normal humans and the new humans who called themselves the true human race. But ultimately the powerful prevailed and slowly the normal humans got eliminated as time went on.
Presently most humans are born with ability to cultivate. These are usually hereditary but sometimes there are people who don't have such power. These people are the lowest of the low and the rarest of the rare. They are like animals on the verge of extinction. They are kept as pets by the rich and powerful and suffer unspeakable abuse by these powerful people. The best case scenario is to die but many such people suffer from inhumane torture like none other till they die of causes decided by their master's whims.
One such person is Xavier Argent. Found on the streets, he was taken in by an orphanage. At ten years of age, it was found out that he couldn't cultivate and was sold to a local tyrant as a plaything for their family heir. But as all rich people, the heirs character was demented and after Xavier reached 15 years of age, he was played with by the heir and all his friends till the verge of being driven mad and when they found of that Xavier had been broken, they cut of all his limbs, castrated him and threw him into the garbage bin like a waste that they thought of him to be.
He was just about to be incinerated along with the waste when he heard a voice...
