chapter three

Two weeks, we've been talking for two weeks non-stop. We couldn't get enough of each other's company by even texting, talking on the phone or simply chatting face to face. The more we talked the more comfartable I felt with her. For instance, I no longer was searching deeply for a response to her texts, I stopped stuttering, stopped sayings things that would embarrass me. O could tell that she was like-wise, she kept on getting more comfortable with being around me. We were kinda flirting. She gave me her number after a while.

I didn't know why but there but I felt like she would never judge me the very moment I locked eyes with her. I was feeling like I could trust her easily and tell her everything without thinking about it. "You are looking quite happy these days it's getting on my nerves." She joked while she was sitting next to me. "I've been too happy lately, yeah. It's kinda weird, it's not likely to be me." She laughed. "I've been feeling happy too " We talked again until her class started. Her days were busier than mine. She smiled and fixed my hair. It's not that my hair looked messy yet she still ran her hands through it. "Your hair looks better like that. It shows off your perfectly shaped fave." My heart started to run marathons. I was flustered.

"Look at you, such a cutie!" I took a deep breath. As I tucked a lock of her hair behind of her ear, I asked, "Would you like to do somethings after school?" She smiled. "S-Sure. I'm a little busy these next couple of hours, I'll meet you back here after my classes." She stood up and kissed my cheek. Then left the cafeteria. I watched her leave the cafeteria as a sheepish smile lit my face up. I placed my hand onto place that she just kissed and kept smiling in a silly way. "It annoys me, the way you smile. Why the hell are you so happy?" Alfred said.

"Is it an unwritten rule for ne to be so gloomy? Why does everyone keep saying that? Don't you dare say anything else, nothing can ruin my mood these days." They looked at each other. Harold said, "Why don't you come to our place tonight? We can hang out just to three of us."

"No, thanks. I have another plans for tonight."

"Say what?"

"Guys, I have bad news. I am a human too! Why is it so hard to believe for you guys that I too can make plans and have fun with people?"

"Should we really believe you?"

"Yes."

Harold looked at me really suspicous way and hold Alfred's hand. They left. I rolled my eyes and continue to eat my cracker. Jessica come and sat in front of me. "It seems like you guys get on very well. That's nice to hear." She said. "You didn't talk with her, right?"

"No, I'd never do that! I don't like helping my friends with their love life. I just pretend like I didn't know anything."

"As if you were any good for yourself."

"Ugh, İ'm trying but it's no use."

"What did you say?"

"Okay, I'm gonna go."

"Jess, wait! Wha- Argh, fine!" It was really annoying that she didn't tell us anything about her. She didn't have to but it was annoying anyways. It always left me wondering.

I went to the cafeteria after finishing my classes. I looked for her. She was sitting alone at the table that I always sat at. I went there and closed her eyes behind her. She touched my hands to figure out who it was. Everytime her finger tips brushed my knuckles, my heart started to beat my chest from inside. "Jackson?" I smiled. It was really cute to hear my name from her. I freed her eyes from my captivity. "Yes, you are right." I sat next to her. "Do you have any other classes?"

"I only have one left. Then I'll be done for the day."

"If you don't have anything to do for the rest of the day, I could drive you home." She smiled. "Really?" I smiled. "Yes. If you're free."

"I'd appreciate that. Thank you. My class finishes half an hour later. After that, we can go. Is it okay with you?"

"Yeah. We can eat something if you want to. You haven't eaten anything as I've seen."

"O-Okay." She got her bag and stood up. "I'll be waiting you here." I watched her until I couldn't see her anymore. I didn't realise how much I liked her until lately I was reminded of it. I read a book while I was waiting her. I was in love with reading books. It helped me getting rid of my intrusive thoughts. When I focused, I didn't even hear anyone. "Jackson, we can go now." To which I replied at an instance. "Just wait one more second my beauty. There's only one paragraph until I finish this page." I read it a little bit faster than before. Then, I closed the book and stood up. She was exhausted.

"What the hell they did to you in this thirthy minutes?" I said. "I'm at school since 8 o'clock. I'm gonna throw up it I drink one more cup of coffee. Man, psychology is hard. Why did I pick that?"

"Every major has its own difficulty. With law. you have to memoriz a lot of things. The books have lots of pages and you have to memorize almost all of them." She looked at my car admiringly. It was probably cause of I had a Mercedes. There were a few people who has Mercedes at school. I was one of them. "I'm not rich, sorry. It's my brother's old car."

"Heart is more important than riches."

"Not for everyone. If you don't have money, you are nothing for some people."

"80 years old Jackson joined the chat."

"But it's true, though."

We stopped when we arrived at the café that I came before. I usually came here when I felt down or when I craved waffles too often. And it was a really peaceful place to read books. "The food and waffles is really good here. And the place is... " She completed my sentence with a big happiness. "Amazing!" It was scary. Because she yelled it right next to my ear. And I wasn't expecting that reaction. "Hey, calm down blondie. You startled me!" She laughed. "Sorry. I get a little too excited when I see cute things."

We sat a table. She started to look at the menu. "They don't have any specialities or a diverse menu but the waffles and the noodles are amazing."

"Can you order for me too? I have to go to bathroom. If you'll order noodles, I'm allergic to soy sauce and I'm in love with chicken and curry."

"Sure." When she left I ordered two chicken noddles and waffles. We talked a couple of hours.

I was compeletly in love with her.

After that, I drove her home. The house that she stayed in was really big. "My roommate's family is wealthy, not me." I looked at the big garden. It was bigger than my apartment.

She asked, "Wanna come in? I can make you a cup of hot chocolate." She looked so cute. I kindly rejected her because her roommate might've felt uncomfortable. "I'd love to but thanks. Your roommate might feel uncomfortable." She's not at home. She went to see her family. Please, Jackson. I want to pay you back somehow, not by just a little plain 'thanks.' I feel like I didn't do anything for you since we met." To be by your side, sitting next you and spending time with you was a big deal for me.

"Fine. But just thirty minutes." She stared at me as if she was asking me if I was serious. "Is it just me or you trying to run away from me? Jackson we are flirting, you know that, right?"

"I know and it's such a big thing for me. I have dreamt about it for a few months. It's just... I don't want to have a short-term realationship with you. I really care about you and I don't want this to end this easily. I didn't have a lot realitonships before, this is all just new to me." I was hoping that she would be understanding. "What do you mean by that? You didn't have many relationships before?"

"Well, my longest relationship was from third year of high school to freshman year of university. Last year, I had a very short-term relationship. I've never been close to someone like you except Jenny."

"Why didn't you tell me before? I was starting to think there was something wrong with me. I feel better now."

"We didn't talk about this and I didn't feel like I had to tell you. I'm sorry."

"It's fine. Anyways, still wanna come in? I can introduce you to the unknown of the relationships." I laughed and followed her inside. The house was amazing. "Holy sh- Sorry." She laughed. "It's okay. You're not the first one to react this way." This was normal. Everyone could react this way. The house was smelling like cologne. "Jordan might've been here. It's his cologne. Jordan is my roommate's boyfriend. Make yourself at home, I'm gonna change into something comfy." She ran upstairs. I looked at the pictures on the wall.

There was a little girl with a cup and fancy outfits. That was probably little Olivia.

I was really relieved that telling her about my past realationships didn't ruin it for us. From now on, I could be more uncomfortable around her. I was really happy about it and I was hoping that it could be timeless.
