28 CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN - DECISION

ARIANA'S POV

I glared at Arie, "seriously?" I shout. "You're always listening in on my conversations and the one time I'm actually happy that you do, what do you do? Hide, you hide in the shower. Darn Arie." Cole walks angrily into the bathroom, slamming the door shut.

There goes the romantic dinner I was planning on.

I stood staring at my reflection in the mirror, would I ever do things right? Would I ever stop being inadequate?

What would be his reaction when he sees the headset in the bathroom?

If I didn't have a headset on, it would have been different.

Already despondent, just refusing to shed a tear. I'm strong, I'll get over this, like every other time.

I felt arms around me, while I was towel drying my hair.

Pulling me against his chest, he inhales my newly washed hair.

"I'm sorry" he mummers in my neck.

Standing still, I waited.

"I saw the headset" he explains. "That clearly explains why you didn't hear me at first." he adds apologetically.

Although this is the second time today, I still forgive him. I'm always happy when everything is good.

"Okay" I smiled happily.

Loosening his hold on me, he spun me around,

"Just like that? he sounds surprise. "You forgive me just like that?"

I nod, moving to walk past him, when he held my arm, holding me back.

I glance up at him, with a questioning look.

Frowning he looks down at me, "I'm fine Cole, really, I'm fine" I smiled, genuinely at his still, confused look.

Reaching upwards, I tiptoed to meet his lips with mines.

"Go shower before dinner, I whispered against his lips.

Capturing my lips in a deeper kiss, totally losing all self control in my husband's arms.

Abruptly releasing me, Cole walks to the window, overlooking the open front yard and the open road, that was clearly visible.

" Dress to impress, casually though, we're going out for dinner" he walks off to the bathroom.

Cole haven't seen my purchases yet, so I quickly donned a wrinkle free red shirt, with a red jeans and a white wrap overthrow.

I completed it with a pair of red and white mittens with a matching scarf. I stood admiring myself in the mirror when Cole came out of the shower, drying his body with his hair, totally messed up from his shower.

I know that I might seem a bit eccentric, to him, but darn it's Christmas and I'm happy.

I twirled around for him, "what do you think?" I asked with a mischievous smirk.

He looks me up and down, swallowing before he goes into his luggage.

Cole, pulls on a boxers digging further, he pulls out a black jeans and just stares into the suitcase, before picking up a matching red shirt. Turning around, raising an eyebrow.

Before he could say anything, "come on, your jeans is black" I complained.

Shaking his head, he chuckles softly, "only this Christmas Arie, next year, I'm in control. Deal?" he puts out a hand to shake,

Ignoring him, I shook my head, walking back to my luggage, taking out a second set of matching mittens and scarf, so we could twin.

"Darmit Ariana" Cole swears behind me.

"In all fairness, you did say this Christmas" I reminded him. "Okay, let's see how you look" I bargained with him.

Ignoring me, Cole pulled on his jeans, hopping up to the bed, before he looks at me again.

"Bring my phone please" he stretches out his hand.

Picking it up I looked at him curiously, sitting next to him, listening to his side of a conversation.

Smiling, I ran to the bathroom, taking up dirty laundry and our toiletries, putting them in bags, before going to the suitcases. looking around, I put all our belonging into the empty suitcase, while Cole stares at his reflection in the mirror with a pleased expression.

Grinning at me, "a bold red, not a choice I would normally make, but, I'll admit, it's not to bad." he agrees as he looks at his reflection one more time.

Glancing at the mittens and scarf, "Arie" he simply says, shaking his head.

I bought him a white, winter coat, but I decided to give him the black instead, before he buries me in the snow.

Because I listen in on his conversation, I was already packed.

"You got everything?" he glances around the room.

Looking around, "uh, yeah, I think so" I responded.

"Let's go, I need to sign out of this crazy place. We need to get back to the city to prepare for our wedding." Cole informs me, putting his phone into my handbag and lifted the two full suitcase, leaving me with the lighter one.

At the front desk, Darcy wore a surprise then sad smile.

"Ariana, you're leaving?' Darcy glances at our luggage, then at Cole, who wore a cold look.

" Yes, actually Mr Simmons and I have to return to the city as soon, as possible, so this is us making a head start." I smile at the kind woman with the unruly kids.

"As a Christmas gift, my husband" I said pointing to Cole, "would be paying for the entire week as planned" I informed her as she smiles happily.

"Are you sure?" she ask, glancing between Cole and I.

Putting an arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer, "like the Mrs said, it's a Christmas gift" Cole smiles politely.

"Thank you" she sighs, "both of you, thank you" her eyes starting to shimmer with tears.

"Oh one more thing," I said opening the pocket of the suitcase I am carrying.

"Thank you" I put her books on the counter.

"Keep them" she says.

Shaking my head, "these belong to different collections" I refused politely.

"Oh please" she started.

"My wife knows that these treasures, should not be separated." Cole explains.

Darcy accepts our decision and after settling our bill we started our journey towards the city.
