I saw that everyone in the room was staring at either me or Fallon. They had heard what I said and were processing it in their own way. I knew that those that had come here with me likely had the same heavy heart that I did. That they understood the magnitude of this situation, and that even if we captured these people here and now, when we arrested them, it wouldn't change the way that they thought.

In truth, arresting these people was going to have the opposite effect that we would want. They would hate us more. We would be the ones that took away their freedoms, so to them we would perpetuate that imagery of monsters and demons in their eyes. And there was nothing that we could do about it.
