159 Children of Mana, Part Forty-Two

{Zura}

Zura's heart pounded in her chest as she followed closely behind Vayn and Athene along the dimly lit path.

The air was cool and musty, the faint scent of damp earth clinging to every corner.

Shadows danced eerily on the walls, cast by flickering torchlight that barely illuminated their surroundings.

"So, uh, where exactly are we?" Zura's asked slightly nervously, her gaze darting around the narrow corridor.

Vayn, leading the way with quiet confidence, spared a glance back at Zura.

"This used to be a dungeon," she explained calmly, her steps steady despite the tension in the air. "Abandoned a pretty long time ago. Not many people know about it. It leads out of Garriden. In a few minutes, a car should arrive at the exit to take us to the village. That's the plan."

As they progressed deeper, Zura's eyes widened at the sight of skeletal remains, their bones bound in rusty chains.
