What is special about her?

Walden came out of the penthouse and got into the private elevator. There was a man standing by his side this time.

This was his personal secretary, Ali.

''Boss, everything is ready. You can go into the secret chamber after you return from the cemetery. I already informed Lord Boaz, he said he will stand at the door with Lady Lucia today in case Lord Liam tries anything funny.'' Ali said.

''Alright, let's go!'' Walden replied.

Outside the apartment car park, Walden got into the backseat while Ali got into the driver's seat. When he drove out of the parking lot, a taxi also pulled over and Alison got down.

Alison walked passed the Kenji Motors Housing Estates and turned to an alley which lead to a low cost rented apartments. This was the place where most of the casual workers like Alison stayed. It was cheap and decent. It was also located just at the Kenji Motors Housing Estates hence Alison always gave the address of that place.

Alison quickly got into her apartment and locked the door. She put the groceries on the kitchen table and started preparing.

…..

Graveyard….

Gracia Kenji

Walden stood in front of the grave yard, staring at it. This was the graveyard of his birthmother. The woman who abandoned him years ago to go and be the nanny of the Davis family.

If you died, why don't you rest and stop bothering me?'' Walden muttered.

Beside him, a figure appeared. She chuckled and muttered, 'if I don't disturb you, who else would? You are living such a boring life.''

''At least it's better than being dead, right?'' Walden replied. He didn't seem surprised or afraid of the ghost of his mother that was standing next to him.

''It's that time of the year ago. Alison has become a woman now.'' Gracia, whom Alison called her nanny granny said and turned to look at Walden.

''Alison? Who is she?'' Walden turned to face his mother.

''How could you forget the name of the girl you supported through school? She even works in your company as a casual worker.'' Nanny granny said as she looked at Walden with a worried gaze.

''Walden, it's being 500 years now. You should forget about that woman. She won't ever get reincarnated again. Not everyone has that chance.''

''That's why you shouldn't have done what you did to me, mother? You should have done something to keep her alive until I came back.''

''Walden, she was poisoned. There was nothing I could do and you know that well. You won't understand anyways.'' Nanny granny sighed.

''Why did you ask me to come here?'' Walden stuffed his hands into his pockets.

''Tonight is the night of the full moon. A lot of things are going to happen tonight but this time around, you can't just protect yourself. You need to protect Alison if not she will die.''

''Alison?'' Walden laughed. ''That same family you abandoned your family for? What is so special about this girl?'' Walden found it ridiculous that his mother left him to take care of a family that were humans.

''You will see when you meet her. Alison is a special girl.'' Gracia smiled as she thought about Alison.

''If she is meant to die tonight, then I can't stop it. You know very well what it means to mess up the order. I don't want to deal with the ghost descendants. If she is supposed to die, then Kaada must be aware of it.''

''Kaada is aware of it but she won't do anything about it.''

''What do you mean?'' Walden's gaze became sharp.

''You will find out soon.'' Gracia said before disappearing.

Walden snorted and looked at the grave again. He curved his lips into a mocking smile as he turned and walked away

At the gate of the graveyard, Ali was busy with his phone when a taxi pulled over behind the car. He didn't see Alison going into the graveyard after getting down from the taxi.

Alison was holding a small folded mat, an umbrella and a basket. This basket contained fruits and the food she prepared for the memorial. She wanted to set the memorial at the graveyard since that was what her nanny granny told her to do.

Walking up the stairs, Alison's lace removed and she sighed. She placed the basket and other things on the upper stair and bent down to tie her lace well.

At that moment, she saw footsteps coming down the stairs towards her. The owner of the footsteps simply passed by without acknowledging her.

Alison finished with her lace and turned to look at the man's retreating back. She muttered, ''what was that? He didn't even greet me. What an obnoxious person.''

When Alison said that the man's footsteps stopped. Alison felt a chill and turned.

''He… didn't hear me, right?'' she muttered and hurriedly picked her things, ready to run but she forgot tie the lace of the other sneaker and ended up tripping because of it.

Alison fell and rolled down the stairs towards the man. She hit her body against the man's feet and stopped. She was about to heave a relief when the man suddenly moved away and she started rolling down the stairs again. With her hands in the air, she screamed for help.

Walden looked at the lady with a nonchalant gaze. He didn't feel pity for her. Actually, he knew she was going to fall anyways and wanted to help her but she insulted him and he heard it, hence he decided to teach her a little lesson by letting her fall.

Alison sat up and held her waist. Her body ached and she was in a lot of pain after falling that way. When she saw the man coming towards her, she forced herself to stand up and stood in the way of the man.

''Hey! Why didn't you help me? I was falling and you just watched me fall like that. Is that what a human being is supposed to do?''

''I am not a human being!'' Walden replied making Alison speechless.

Alison pursed her lips for a second and stretched her hand, blocking Walden when he was about to go.

''What?'' Walden asked coldly.

''Well… I indeed fell due to my own carelessness, but the second fall could have being prevented if you had helped me which you didn't. Look at my baby skin, I got hurt.'' Alison pointed at her legs and hands.
