39 Arena and A New Dungeon

The two of them finally finished their journey to the next city. Once they arrived and went through the gate, they searched for an inn straight away. Once they found a nice looking one, they entered it.

Lux walked up to the counter and the man standing there spoke, "You want to buy a room?"

"Yes, how much is it."

"Well it depends, are you getting two single rooms or one double?"

Before Lux could respond, Petra answered, "We'll take the double room."

"That'll be ten silver then."

"Well, here you go." Lux handed him the money.

Lux and Petra walked up the stairs and entered their room, "How come you asked for the double room instead of two separate ones?"

"I just want to be closer to you. I have realised that I want to be more than just your friend. Please accept me as yours."

"Well, I'm not going to pass on that. Come here."

Petra walked over to Lux and they both got on the bed while embracing one another.

The next morning, both of them woke up after an 'eventful night' and Petra was lying on top of Lux, "I guess having a billion stat points in vitality does more than just increase my health."

"Stop being an idiot, although I do agree with you on that."

"What are we gonna do today?"

"Let's go see what quests there are at the guild."

The two of them went to the guild and entered through the doors but the people inside seemed to be excited about something.

"Did you hear, the strongest adventurer in the city has returned from a quest." A random adventurer spoke to one of his friends.

"You hear that Petra, the 'strongest adventurer in the city' has returned."

"It would be more accurate to say, has just arrived. Don't you think?"

"I agree with you, but I don't think they're talking about me."

At that moment, a tall man with brown hair burst in. He was wearing mithril armour and had a mithril sword.

"It's him, Vincent Munoz. He's back from killing the Giant."

Lux had also killed Giants before and wanted to know the details, "Hey Vincent, how big was the giant that you fought?"

"Must have been around ten feet tall, big ugly thing it was."

"Ah, is that it?" Lux mumbled under his breath.

"What are you implying? That you could do better?"

"Yes, I am, and I have. Quite frankly, they weren't difficult and they were way bigger than ten feet."

"You think you're stronger than me? I'm one of the only SS rank adventurers in the world. What are you? A rank at most."

"Seems like you miscalculated, I'm the only SSS rank in the world, so don't try to look down on me."

"Nice try, I can take you any day. It doesn't matter what rank you lie about having, I'm this city's strongest adventurer. If you want to fight me, then come to the arena right now and fight in front of a crowd like a real man."

"Ok then, let's go asshole. Right now."

Everyone in the guild followed the two of them as they went to the arena as they wanted to witness Lux get beaten for acting stronger than he was. Once they arrived, the fight was instantly arranged and thousands of people flooded to the arena and filled the seats.

The fight was to the death and would only end when one of them was dead.

They both stepped into the arena and were about to 'fight' which would really be a one sided beat down with Lux winning.

"I'm going to kill you and take your little dragon girlfriend from you, and there's nothing you can do about it."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, but don't be too disappointed when you die."

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls. Welcome to today's first and only attraction, A FIGHT TO THE DEATH between our city's strongest, Vincent Munoz and a challenger who claims to be able to kill him easily. 3,2,1, FIGHT."

The audience expected an exciting fight with Vincent emerging as the winner. However, they instead saw Lux disappear using [Teleportation] and appear straight behind Vincent, he then punched the back of his head once with only a tiny amount of force. Due to the immense power of Lux, Vincent's head exploded and the fight was over. The crowd was stunned and disappointed that the person they were rooting for had been instantly defeated.

Lux did not care about this and left the arena with Petra and the two of them went back to the inn even though it was only mid-day. They were going to get their things and leave as they were not very liked in the city any more.

When they entered the inn, everyone already knew what had happened and were very hostile towards Lux and Petra. They told them to leave and tried to throw things at them, Lux used [Ultimate Psychokinesis] and stopped the items in the air. The two of them grabbed their things and left as quick as they could.

They were back on the road again and on the way to a new city where they would have no reputation at all. They decided to go on Jörmungandr's back to be quicker but wanted to take a detour along the way to another dungeon to see what reward would be given when they beat it.

However, when they were going through a forest, both Lux and Petra fell down a hole into a portal. On the other side of the portal was an undiscovered dungeon with a difficulty much harder than the previous one they had entered.

This was still easy for Lux though as it could not compare to his Impossible Tutorial at all. They kept clearing the floors and eventually got the the bottom floor and beat the boss. The loot that it dropped was another tome but instead of raising the rank of a skill, this time it was able to summon a familiar.

Lux gave it to Petra as he already had Jörmungandr. She used it straight away and was very happy to receive such a valuable gift. A light shone and a beautiful Griffin with bright white feathers and dark black fur. Petra named it Ares and Lux used [Ultimate Analysis] on it to see how strong it was.

"Sure."

The two of them left and started on their journey again.
