"Your father would like you to come and meet Lord Norris." A maid informed me. This again. I quickly finished with the dish I was washing and dried my hands. I hurried to my father's study. Suddenly the door flew open. A tall broad shouldered man stood in the doorway. So not my type. I fell into curtsy less I be deemed disrespectful. "It is a pleasure to have you in our home Lord Norris." I said softly. "Are you Myaliah?" He asked, his voice husky. "Yes." I answered, raising my head to look at him. "Then please enter." I slipped past him and into the room. My father was seated on one of the couches in the study. I moved to sit in the armchair beside him. "Your right Varrick. She is a beauty." I rolled my eyes. I was still here. "She'd make a fine daughter in law." Norris chuckled. Daughter in law! Did he have a son? "You have a son?" I asked impulsively. "I do. Nathan, Noah, and Nero." Three sons. That was rare. "That's amazing." He grinned. "They are all 23, of age for courting."

I inwardly groaned. I knew how this was going to go and it was sad. He would bring his sons over the next time he came to visit. Out of politeness I would allow them a date. Afterwards I would decline. The boys would be clingy and only wanting of my pink pout lips, black hair, and delicate nose. "May I perhaps bring my sons over the next time I come to visit. You see Nathan is a general, and Noah is into politics. They could use a man like you to guide their steps. My father smiled. "It has been a while since I went to war or even dabbled in politics, but I will help them. I wouldn't mind seeing what the young folk are doing now. I mean my daughter does live in this world." My dad said softly. I rolled my eyes. My father knew the king's most trusted advisers. "Father may I be off to bed. It is quite late and I can see you men will be up for a while. If you like I can send a maid with some wine." I wanted to go. I knew they'd go into politics and other things that would be deemed unladylike for me to hear. "What ever you see best dear." My father agreed. I rose from my seat and quickly left.
