Chapter 11

"Please go take a shower." Tori snapped. We were doing alphabetical improv, and Tori was nailing it, compared to yesterday.

"Quit telling me what to do." Jade snarled back in response.

"Relax, girls. Let's all try to get along." Beck said, trying to break them up.

"Totally!" Cat said enthusiastically.

"Cat, your line had to start with the letter S," Sikowitz said after making a buzzing sound.

"Salami!" Cat exclaimed.

"Nope. Too late now." Sikowitz refuses to let her continue.

"Oh, my life's the worst!" Cat said angrily.

"Here's a piece of candy." Sikowitz pulled out, trying to get her back to her seat.

"Yay! I love candy!" Cat says, running back to her seat next to Robbie.

"All right. André, letter "S" to you." Sikowitz said.

"Uh, something just bit my toe!" André shouted.

"Turtle! That turtle just bit his toe!" I said, trying to contribute, yet shift away from the direction the conversation was going.

"Unbelievable that you're even here." Jade directed toward Tori, glaring at her.

"Very immature of you to say that." Beck interrupted her.

"Uh-" André paused for a second, forgetting his letter.

"W," I whispered to André

"What if the turtle bite, broke my toe bone?" Wow. They really thought of the weirdest things to say.

"X-rays are the only way to find out," Tori says.

"You should shut up," Jade says to Tori.

"Zap! I just healed your toe with my magic finger." Beck said, not bothering to address Jade.

"Thanks," André says, not letting me speak.

The buzzing noise came from Sikowitz again, signifying that André was out.

"André, your line had to start with a letter A. Sit down!"

"Aw, and I just got my toe bone fixed," André said, getting off stage and sitting down.

"Ava, the letter "A" to you."

"Aliens are the only ones that can heal toes by finger zapping," I said.

"By the way," Jade blew a raspberry at Tori. Tori rolled her eyes at her.

"Correct, I am an alien," Beck revealed. We gasped in surprise, except Jade, because she was amused.

"Ooh, a twist!" Sikowitz said, sipping on his coconut milk.

"Don't hurt me! Please?" Tori said.

"Even though she's extremely annoying!" Jade added on.

"Fainting...'cause I can't breathe...your Earth's air." Beck fell dramatically on the ground. Sneaky.

"Gosh, it fainted!" I said in mock surprise.

"Excellent! Tori, Ava, and Jade keep going! The next letter's H!"

Oh boy, this was going to turn into a full out catfight.

"Hey, why don't you jump off that cliff over there?" Jade asked.

"I think you should," Tori replied.

"Just break it up." I cut them off.

"Kangaroos are my favorite animals."

"Lousy animals, kangaroos. They're awkward and dirty." Jade said, picking her nails.

"Maybe they've learned from you," Tori said, not giving me a chance to speak.

The class 'ooh'ed and gasped in astonishment. No one had ever spoken to Jade like that.

"No one talks to me like that," Jade says shocked, gritting her teeth.

"Obviously someone should."

"Please run in front of a bus!"

"Quite obnoxious of you to say."

"Really?"

"Sure was."

"Thanks, guys for not letting me talk at all." I rolled my eyes.

"Up your nose I see boogers," Tori said to Jade.

"Very clever."

"Wish you thought of that?"

"X marks the spot I'd like to punch!" Jade said, pointing her perfectly manicured finger at Tori.

"Your finger smells weird!"

"Zero is what you are on a scale from one to ten."

Irritation started to seep in. They weren't letting me talk. At all.

"And back to letter A!" Sikowitz cut into their argument.

"As if I care what you think!" Tori retorted.

"Better watch yourself," Jade warned her.

"Can't I talk?" I shouted, pushing past the two.

"Don't push me!" Jade said, ignoring me. I threw my hands up in exasperation.

"Eat your pants!" Tori says to her.

"You eat your pants!" Jade said, finally breaking. She then realized what she said.

"Wait!" Jade tries to stop her inevitable doom.

The Sikowitz buzzer sounded again. There it was back again, and Jade was out.

"Sorry, Jade! The next letter was-" Sikowitz said, but was cut off by Jade.

"F! I know!" Jade screeched. She turned angrily at Tori then walked off and sat down.

Beck began to wake up. Oh no. Oh no-no-no. I needed to stop her. I knew what was coming.

"Keep this thing going!" Sikowitz cheered on.

"Get up alien!" Tori goes to Beck's side and helped him up.

"Head feels dizzy," Beck said.

"I know what will make you feel better." Tori smiled suggestively. Oh hell no. I had to do something.

"Jumping jacks?" Beck said cluelessly.

"Kiss me," Tori said. Jade straightened up immediately.

"Let's do it." Beck agrees.

Not being able to take it anymore, I slap Beck and push him back.

"Man, what's wrong with you?" Tori said angrily.

"No. He has a girlfriend, so why are you suggesting he kiss you?" Anger coursed through my veins.

"Obviously because he suffers enough dating her," Tori said pointing at Jade.

"Hey!" I heard a shout from the back of the class, which I could only assume was Jade.

"Perhaps you two should stop fighting." Beck interfered.

"Quite a lot for you to say, huh?" I shot at him.

"Resolve this problem we should!" Beck said.

"Shut up, or I will knock you out," I said. My emotions were getting out of control. I was making an impulsive decision, that might have lead to our friendship being tarnished.

"Tori, help me out here." Beck pleaded.

Finally, I snapped. I kicked him in the gut and stormed out, not bothering to see the rest.

I went to sit down on the steps. I couldn't believe Beck. He did this, and I couldn't believe that I assisted him in his plans to make his girlfriend jealous, and he used me, which made me feel dirty. Why did I do that? I was as bad as Tori, as bad as Beck. I did this. My hands brushed against my lips, and I broke down. I swore I wasn't going to get my heartbroken, but here I was.

I just wreaked havoc wherever I went. I had to settle on the reality that I was simply just infatuated but little did I know it was going to turn into something more.
