The talk of the town

"The lunar ceremony is next month" A loud voice rang throughout the bar barley catching my attention.

Perhaps I was just bored as I took a sip of the cup that was in front of me and listened in to the conversation that was happening at a table not far from mine.

"Ah I can't wait I heard that this year there going to broadcast it over the entire empire and not just the capital" The group consisted of a couple of men with average looks that would be hard to remember at first glance.

It was a fairly comical group of men with one of them being muscular and the size of a small bear that was wearing chain armor while the other two were skinny and frail almost like beggar's who were garbed in black robes.

'One warrior and two magician's' it was quite obvious which one was which

"Shit that's going to cost a fortune in spirt gems" one of the magicians spoke with a face of disbelief making the other two laugh.

"You talk like that amount would actually affect those greedy bastards" The other magician said disgruntled and I couldn't help but agree with him on that one point.

'Well technically I'm one of those greedy bastards' I thought with amusement as I took another sip of the what I think was supposed to be tequila making me want to spit it out.

'I've gotten used to aunt's high grade sprit wine' I sighed as I zoned out but my ears perked up when I heard a familiar name from the mouth of that bare like man.

"Of course it's going to big it's the first lunar ceremony since that traitor bastard Nicholas" One of the magicians spoke with a nasty tone making the other magician look around with a look of fear on his face:

"D~Don't say that name out loud are you crazy" He whispered to his friend who looked around and shrunk in his seat making me laugh.

'They act like that scheming bastard can hear them in whatever cave he's in' I rolled my eyes

"besides this is the first ever ceremony in the empire for someone who will become both a arch mage and a master at the same time" The large man said before he slammed his glass on the table and shouted.

"And he's only 15 years old at that!" The bear like man exclaimed making the other two sigh.

"Angel Valentine is definitely a name to remember" one of the magicians grabbed his drink and chugged it.

"Maybe he'll become even more terrifying then those old greedy bastards" The three men cheered and started to chug their drinks before they eventually blacked out making me sigh once more.

"To be so care free" I said lowly as I finished the rest of my drink with a grimace and stood up pulling my food down a little more and walking toward the counter where a man stood cleaning glasses.

I tapped twice on the bar with my knuckles as I tried to remember what new code that idiot had made up.

"The weather is to hot I can't even go sunbathing" I felt embarrassed saying such stupid thing as the bartendeturned around and eyed me for a couple of seconds.

"We have sunscreen in the back" He nodded his head toward the back and went back to cleaning like nothing had happened.

'I swear I'll kill him if he keeps making these nonsense codes' I walked into the back where a large room full of cheap liquor was located before I walked past it and into a dark hallway that had a seat of long steps leading downstairs.

I walked down the stairs and came to a single door that was shut and I knocked twice once more and waited before I heard a familiar yet annoying voice sound out slightly muffled.

"Come in" As the voice spoke the door opened by itself and I was greeted with a fancy room that definitely didn't match the vibe of the cheap bar upstairs.

It was a large room with wooden bookshelf lining the walls that were coated in gold while a desk set against the furthest wall. Sitting at the desk was a handsome young man who looked in his early twenties with his feet crossed on the edge of the desk. His dirty blond hair fell into his face and his green eyes peaked under as he stared over at me with a shit eating grin that made me want to launch some magic at him.

"My my my" Leslie Laughed as he spread his arms and raised them in the air.

"If it isn't the talk of the town angel valentine" He said with a smile as the door closed behind me.
