4 Chapter 3 (Finding Home)

They reached near the entrance, or it can be said near the ground hole. They have to actually go through underground passage to go inside the tree because the length of the tree outer branch is so long and thick that it has completely blocked the way to approach its trunk. They discovered it in an accident, when they were searching for a place to live.

Two girls were wandering in the dense forest or were they running from something. They look very young around ten years old and other one was just an Angel. One girl was wearing black hoddie that was covering her from top to bottom, she was wearing a red scarf to cover her face. She was carrying an oversized sword and a quiver. The other short girl beside her was faint white and floating in mid air, also carrying an oversized Bow. At first sight they looked like a duo of theif, running from the People. Both of them were looking terrified and exhausted, as they were running continuously from four hours.

It was a rainy night yesterday and it is still drizzling. The dark clouds are still there covering the sky, which makes the day looks like there is still night time. They are Sylvie and her little sister, they were escaping from their village. What was the thing that makes them so terrified? is not known, or she herself forgot about that...

Seems they are not in that bad condition, it was quite lucky for them. Since they only encountered small beast along the way, maybe the huge beast were not in the area. If they had meet one, they won't have survived till this moment. 'Forest is not a place for a weakling and kids to stroll'.

They were completely lost in the deep forest and stumbled upon a tree when it was eating a giant bird. They look towards the spectacular scene occurring in front of them, completely petrified. The giant bird was completely engulfed by the time and only its rectrices (tail) was visible, which was enough to determine that it was a Giant hummingbird.

"Gulp.. gulp...., Creak... Creak... Gurr... " *Sound of swallowing*

Sylvie thought it was a mangrove forest tree that accidentally made its root here in the middle of a Tropical rainforest. It came into her mind because its root was five to six meters above the ground level like a pneumatophores. Currently they were both looking at the long tentacles came from the mouth of the tree, which was slowly sinking in the ground after engulfing its prey.

They didn't noticed how they came near it, because it was moving very slowly at that time and the prey was already dead. It generally eats its prey very slowly because opening the huge mouth takes time. Actually, it is quite painful for it to open its mouth after a certain limit, as the tree is quite woody by nature and expanding it too hard can lead to breaking of its mouth.

"Creak...., Creak..." *Sound of cracking of wood*

They were actually inside its dome at that time and by the time they decided to escape, it has already blocked their retreat path by settling its roots and branch in the way. They were completely terrified at that moment, the inside of dome was Dark. It was also making a cracking sound, as some of its route and branches were broken during the hunting process. The sound of cracking of woods is actually very frightening when you are inside a huge Beast eating tree. They thought they were inside its gut and can't escape.

"kuk, kuk....."

"quaa, quaaa....." *Sound of some creatures*

Suddenly the inside of wood dome starts to glow orange brightly. The duo sisters got completely baffled by the scene inside the dome. It was like a dream land where lights are glowing brightly from the trunks, branches and Leaves like several blood veins are glowing brightly. They saw the spectacular natural dome made by the tree inside its layer of thick branches. The place was brightened up by the trees glow, that was glowing bright orange. There were several beautiful and unique flowers inside the dome coming out from the ground as well as from the roots and branches of the giant carnivorous tree.

"Kuk...." "quaaa....."

The roots of tree was slowly sinking in the ground without making any damages to the surroundings. Suddenly several red light glows from the corners of dome, surrounding them from all direction. They are looking like the eyes of Devil, Silvie quickly grab her sword and make a defensive stance in case of sneak attack. But another spectacular scene occurred, they saw several 'S' like structure flickering and radiating the same red light but are more brighter. Sylvie and Seraphina look towards it in surprise and fright. After a few moment a small figure with faint little red eyes and tail approach them jumping from their right side. The creature looks like an adorable child, curious to know a very new Species he never saw in his life.

"tsik tsik tsik, chrrrrrrrr -- siew siew siew siew" *warning Calls*

They were actually the scurry of white squirrels peeking from the tree branches, their little eyes were glowing faint red. It looks like that they are the Albino Species, having made a drey in this carnivorous tree. They were looking very cute with the bright Red light emitting from their spine and long tail. Many of them were illuminating faint red lights, which suggests that they are comparatively weak and are still kittens. The parents of that little kit were calling him to come back by making a warning sound, that is made during Danger.

When Sylvie and Seraphina accidentally reached inside their home, they call all of their family members and grouped together. They start to observe the invaders from behind the woods, they were scared and they didn't come out to confront them directly. But a Curious and Brave kitten can't hold of his urge and moved closely towards the duo sisters with a surprise and excitement.

"muk-muk....."

"muk-muk....." *sound made by baby squirrel*

It roam around them bouncing several times before it stopped, looking at their eyes and clothes curiously. While tilting its head right and left like a dog in a funny way. It was more interested in Seraphina then Sylvie, as she was looking very cute and magnificent to it. It was because she was small and levitating in the air like a white fire spirit. It had also goes through that stage, but it couldn't remember that because it was still a kitten at that time. Also, it had never seen a white angel in its lifetime, as all of his siblings were either light red or bright red in color. Not even the adult squirrels had seen one, so they were also surprised and cautious.

"muk-muk..."

Sylvie put down her sword and bend down on her knees to look the creature more carefully after knowing it is not that dangerous. Seraphina also comes down and extend her hand towards the little guy. She touched the little guy head and petted him. After sometime the kitten pounce on her hand, to demand more petting. The little fear it had have already been vanished and now it is very excited. Seraphina get up and turned around to towards her sister. She looks towards her big sister with a bright smile like she got something wonderful. Sylvie also extends her hand to pet the little guy, she was cautious before but the adorable look of baby squirrel made her relieved.

"Hehehe... he likes me more than you." Seraphina said excitedly, while acting superior and haughty with her nose raised high.

"Yes my lady, how can anyone ignore your Beauty." Sylvie replied while bowing forward, with a slight chuckle. Sylvie said without feeling annoyed, as she is just a kid and always act playful. Besides she knows that Seraphina loves her big sister and she didn't really mean that way.

Seraphina began to play with the kitten (Baby squirrel), without any worry. It was not the concern, but the dray of this kitten was still the main concern for Sylvie. The mother of that kitten was still looking at them with her red eyes, she was looking worried towards her child. She began to move closer to them, she was comparatively very big and stronger than rest of the squirrels.
