1 Prologue: The Truth; Adrian’s POV

You have heard of the stories of gods, folktales, and myths and you'll probably say that they're just myths right? But what if we told you that they actually exist in another world?

There is a world where the mythologies of many different pantheons exist. This world is where are our Olympian parents come from.

The world's name is Thrylos: the world of legend.

And this is the story of how we saved Thrylos. It all started on the first day of our senior year.

"Adrian! Andrea! You don't want to be late for your first day of senior year!" Said my mom in an excited tone. I woke up and yawned and then rushed to beat my cousin Andrea to get to the bathroom first.

We both made it in at the same time then suddenly she said: "I got here first Adrian; so I should get ready first." She said without her brown hair so it looked messy looking. " You're gonna have to fight me for it, Sis!" I replied with a battle-ready tone.

We then both got into our fighting stances and started throwing punches and kicks at each other. I taught myself Jeet Kune Do by watching a lot of Jake Lee films. And Andrea is a black belt in karate.

After we were out of breath from beating the crap out of each other, Mom came in and said with a calm, yet sinister on the inside, tone and said: "Kids, you shouldn't fight, you have to get ready, so take turns using the bathroom." Which really meant " You better stop fighting or else you'll die." Or something menacing like that. "Yes, Mom." "Yes, Aunt Aisha." We fearfully replied.

After we finished getting ready for the day, I fixed my black hair into its straight position and got dressed in our school uniforms which were white shirts, black jackets, black shoes, and black pants for the boys and black skirts for the girls.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Andrea and I are cousins on my dad's side. Andrea's dad died in a car accident when she was 8 and she and her mom came to live with me, mom and my dad. There was always something odd though. My dad and Andrea's mom both left suddenly on the same day when we were ten. That's not significant, right?

Anyway, mom drove us to Bosco City High School; a public high school that is well rounded in the city as the best college preparatory school.

Me and Andrea are very popular at school- for being the two students who get into a lot of fights- with each other. So we're pretty infamous.

When we arrived at the school we sat through this boring as hell senior assembly and had to listen to Principal Charles boring speech about working hard this year and crap. I've always wanted to be a pharmacist like my dad and Andrea wants to become an obstetrician like her mom. Even though I'm a little lax when it comes to my studies. Ok, I'm really lax when it comes to school. I just want to watch anime and play video games, dude.

Also, people have described me as brash and I never really think. And Andrea has been described as cool, calm and collected. But for some reason Andrea is not as active in the day time; except in the morning when she's fighting with me and in the evening she trains more.

We start our first classes and it is our favorite class: history. (Something Andrea and I actually can agree on). Our teacher comes in and lo and behold, it is my mother. "Good morning class, my name is Aisha Ílios but call me Ms. Ílios. So today we're going to talk about the Greeks, so can anyone tell me what was the Greek religion?" Andrea and I shot up fast at the same time while sitting next to each other. "I know!" We both shouted. " I said it first! No, I said it first! No, I did! Stop copying me! I said stop copying me! You wanna fight loser!?" " Ah crap, here we go again." The whole class thought to themselves. And then we started doing our usual thing, beating each other. Then Mom said " Stop! You two are to go to the principal's office for disrupting my class. We'll talk about this when we get home." She said raising her voice. That's the scary thing about Mom; she stays calm but when she gets mad, she's a whole different person.

We then went into Principal Charles' office and he looks like he hasn't shaved in a while.

"So you two have been causing trouble again, haven't you?" He asked us. "But he started it." Said Andrea. " No, I didn't." I replied. " You two must stop this foolishness, besides you don't even know the reason why." " What are you talking about?" I asked him. " It is good that your mother sent you to my office. Now you can know the truth." He said with a down look in his face. "Adrian, Andrea, do you know why your father and your mother left you when you were ten years old?" He asked us. "No." "The reason why they left is because-." He said with hesitation. "They are the gods of Olympus in the world of Thrylos-the world they had to leave behind."

"What do you mean the world our parents left behind? And what do you mean our parents are gods?" I asked Principal Charles. "Yes, Adrian is the son of Apollo and Andrea is the daughter of Artemis."

Andrea and I start laughing after a brief pause. "Principal Charles, that's a good joke. I know you're trying to make us forget our fight happened but that was hilarious." I said to him. "Are you kidding me? Our parents? Gods? Get outta here." Adrian said after me. "It is true. You are demigods." "Wait, let me laugh even harder." We laughed even harder. He then got out of his chair and yelled "Listen to me, you insolent children!" We then sat up looking attentive out of fear.

"As I said, Adrian, you are the son of Apollo; the god of the sun and Andrea, you are the daughter of Artemis; the goddess of the moon." He said turning to us. "If we're demigods, then why weren't we told this?" I asked him. "Adrian's mother had to keep it a secret until the time was right. This was the last thing your god parents told her before they left." "Okay, tell us why they left." Adrian said.

"They left because they
