11 Chapter 10

Soojung's POV

Eun Na texted me to come to a noraebang telling me she has important news to tell me. I wonder what is it about. So, here I am, at the karaoke place looking for the room EunNa texted. I spotted room 15 and knocked on the door before entering. The light in the room is turned off but I see a cake with candles lit. I can see that my friends are all in the room.

"Happy Birthday!" they all screamed.

Suddenly the lights are back on. I walk to the center of the room where they are standing.

"Happy Birthday, unnie," said Jieun who is holding the cake.

"Make a wish and blow the candles." Eun Na winked at me with a cheeky smile.

What was that supposed to mean? I make a wish and blew the candle.

"Thank you, guys. I thought no one remembers my birthday-" I fake pout.

"I was about to buy myself a cake and listen to Pity Party on repeat. Kidding, I don't care if you guys forgot my birthday.

I just want us to be friends forever," I said after hugging Jieun, Eun Na, and Bora in a group hug looking at my other friends. (A/N; The girls are now friends with Bora btw)

"Soojung, are you saying that we're forgetful? Ouch."Jaehyun said while putting his hand on his chest pretending to be hurt. I can see him pouting.

I laugh at him and squished his cheeks.

"Jaehyun, can you stop being a baby? Let's just get this party started!"Johnny said while rolling his eyes before grabbing a microphone.

He picked "Rhythm Ta" on the machine and started singing very loudly. I took a seat and started eating snacks that are on the table while watching my friends having fun. I suddenly feel someone sitting next to me. I look at my left side and saw it's Taeyong. He smiled at me and said,

"Hi, Soojung. Happy Birthday!" His smile is my favorite thing in the whole wide world. His smile could treat every illness in this world.

I smile at him, "Thank you, Taeyong."

I don't know why my heart is beating so fast. It's not like this is the first time I'm sitting next to him so close. I quietly scold my heart, hoping it stops beating so hard. I feel like my heart is about to burst. I don't know why.

After singing all of our favorite songs, we took a break.

"Guys, I'm getting more snacks. Who's coming with me?"Johnny said, getting up from his seat. I could see Johnny eyeing Taeyong. They look like they're talking through their eyes.

Almost everyone in the room screamed "me!". I look at them weirdly while observing their faces one by one. They avoid eye-contact with me and quickly getting out of the room, leaving only Taeyong and me in the room.

"Let's go with them."I stand up and was about to turn to the door when Taeyong grabbed my hand, stopping me from going out of the room.

"Soojung, I have something to tell you."I look up at him, looking at his perfect face. How can someone be this perfect?

"I like you. I like you since last year when our teacher asked me to sit next to you. I like it when you read your novels. You always look so focus when reading. I started to bully you (playfully) because I'm afraid to show you that I like you I was scared that you will hate me because I always make fun of you."He said while looking deeply into my eyes. He looks very sincere.

"But now, I am confident to confess my feelings to you. Soojung, will you be my girlfriend?" He adds. He looked at my face with a serious look which makes me more nervous.

"Taeyong, I like you too."

"Is that a yes?"

"Yes!" I smile brightly at him while squeezing his hand which is still holding my hand. He gave me a very very wide bright smile.

"Awww!" We heard squealing from outside of the room. We turn at the door and saw that our friends peeking from the slightly-open door.

"Congrats!" they yelled.

Jaehyun trapped me in a hug. "Aww, my baby bear now has a boyfriend," he said after breaking the hug, pouting while squishing my cheeks.

"You still love me right, Soojung?"

"Of course, my Jae," I said.

I heard someone coughing. I look beside me and saw Taeyong looking at us.

"Jaehyun, can you stop hugging my girlfriend?"Taeyong said while pulling me to his side.

"Excuse me, you have no right to tell me that," Jaehyun said sassily.

"Yes, I do."

"No, you don't."

I rolled my eyes and started to walk away.

"Oh btw, Soojung-ah. You talk about me every night before bed huh? I bet you were talking about how perfect my face is," Taeyong said wiggling his eyebrows.

"Baek EunNa! Lee Jieun!" I screamed, stomping my feet.

Today is the best day of my 19 years of living in this world. I have the best group of friends and a dorky boyfriend. I feel like I'm the happiest girl in the whole wide world. I smile looking at my friends.

Jieun's POV

It hasn't past noon yet so we thought that we should spend more time together. "OMG guys. I have a brilliant idea! Let's have fun at the amusement park," Johnny oppa said excitedly.

"Okay! That's a good idea" Jaehyun oppa as the others just nodded to what Johnny suggested.

After cleaning up the mess we've made in the room, Kun oppa suddenly said "Hey guys, I have to go. I promise my friend that just transfer here from China for a tour around Seoul."

"Oh Hyung! How old is he? I want more friends. Can he join us?" The cute Jisung asked but Eun Na jokingly said.

"Yah! Why would you want more friends when you have me?" He giggled shyly.

"Call him over, Kun! It'll be fun" Taeyong oppa offered.

"Oh, okay" Kun oppa awkwardly agreed.

So, all of us waited for Kun's friend at the bus stop. When suddenly, a good-looking boy went off the bus and Kun oppa greeted him.

"Guys, this is Dong SiCheng."

"But you can call me Winwin if you like," he said.

He bowed so politely to us which is making Eun Na giggled. Winwin is cute and absolutely Eun Na's type.

While we were walking, the boys always start asking questions. After a few minutes of walking, we arrived at the amusement park. We decided that we wanted to play on the Viking, merry-go-round (a/n; I know childish right?) and etc.

"Let's play rock, paper, scissors and the first three winners get to decide who they what to partner with but the rest will depend on your luck" Johnny oppa explained.

"Okay, let's go," Taeyong oppa said.

The first three winners are Taeyong, Mark, and Ten. Of course, without a doubt, Taeyong chooses Soojung unnie. Then, Mark choose me which then Jisung tease me about it again.

"Awww noona, the love of your life picked you" I wanted to kill him but he was too cute so I decided to let it slide. Ten picked Bora, which actually takes Bora by surprise because she's been quiet this whole time. Well the partnering has come to a close which leads to:

Jaehyun <3 Jaemin

Jisung <3 Johnny

Winwin <3 Eun Na <3 Kun

Wow, I just said Winwin was Eun Na's type. It must FATE or it is?. All of us went on the Ferris wheel together. Each partner, one car/cabins. The atmosphere there was so very awkward. We were observing the writhing on the walls of the car/cabin and then we giggled together at how funny it was. Then, Mark put his arm around my shoulder, and without me realizing it, I naturally laid my head on his shoulder. He intertwined our hands together and said "I love you" I smiled as I stared at our hands and said,

"I love.... you too" shyly. The time was so short and the ride came to an end.

All of us went on the roller coaster ride. At first, Taeyong oppa didn't want to because he is a little scared. Soojung unnie by saying "Hah! Taeyong is a scaredy-cat. How can a boy get scared of the roller coaster?"

"Yah, I'm not scared okay, let's just go," he said with a nervous look on his face but to be honest I was scared too so I said,

"Guys, I'll just stay here and wait," Johnny oppa know that I'm scared so he said,

"Jieun-ah, you need to win over your fears okay?" I refused to said 'Okay' but I also can't say yes until Mark hold my hand again and said,

"Hey, I'll be there with you okay?" I swear I'm scared of height and death. Taeyong oppa too.

Soojung unnie has been teasing him from the Ferris wheel ride. "Okay, let's go," I said.

Mark and I held hands during the ride. It was fun after all. We went to get ice-cream after all the rides. Eun Na and Jaemin didn't ride the roller coaster with us. I wonder where are they?????

Eun Na's POV

It's so embarrassing when I thought Winwin oppa was the same age as me so I apologized to him. "It's okay. It's more comfortable that way" he said as he gave me a warm smile. I probably was staring out the window the whole time. Can't lie but the view from up there is really pretty. Kun oppa and Winwin just talked about school and stuff as soon as we went off the Ferris wheel, I quickly ran and jumped on Jaemin's back. He was about to fall so I jumped down.

"Am I that heavy?" I asked.

"No. I'm just surprised," he said with a sulky tone.

"What wrong?" I asked before he gets a chance to answer, I said "Awww. Are you sulking? Jealous? Because I wasn't with you just now?"

"Nah...Let's go!" he said

"Where?"

"a date," he said and pulled me with him. We went to the café nearby.

"Um so what do you want to drink?" He asked.

"Ice cappuccino with tons of milk," I said with a grin.

"Okay, I'll get myself a latte."

After getting ourselves drinks we strolled along the Han River. He crossed his arm with mine, he holds my hand naturally. I glanced at him with a smile. He's a little taller than me so he kissed my head.

"Yah, who told you too?" I said.

"Haha...my instincts," he said. I just smiled at the ground but things just making me worry and it feels like it's our last date. When I got a text from Soojung and Jieun unnie asking me where am I.

I said "We're in trouble, the unnies are searching for us. Let's race who reached the amusement park first wins" I ran but not fast just skipping, he's just walking calmly.

"I'm going to eat you if I catch you," he said.

"No, you're not going to catch me" I ran across the road but realized a car was speeding up.

"JAEMIN-ah! DON'T MOVE!" I yelled but it's too late. He got hit by a car right in front of my eyes yet I can't do anything to protect him.

"JAEMIN-AH!!!" I yelled and cried "Someone please call an ambulance."

An ahjusshi called the ambulance. He's unconscious and blood is coming out from his head. I scare me to see him like that. It came making my heart beats fast not in a good way. I felt so guilty about what happened.

"I'm sorry, it's my fault," I said as I finally burst into tears. I went in the ambulance with him.

When we arrived at the hospital, I stopped crying but my heart is still beating like crazy. 'What should I say to his parent? And what if things got twisted and they hate me' the thought went through my mind.

Jaemin's phone was with me thankfully I knew his password. I tried pressing no.1 on speed dial and my guess was right, it's his mom's number. I can't find anything to say so I asked a favor from a nurse. I sat and tries to calm myself down. I saw a woman and a man approaching my direction.

"Is Jaemin in there?" she asked with a worried tone.

"Yes", I get up and bowed at them.

"Annyeonghaseyo! I'm Eun Na, Jaemin's..." I introduced myself halfway as his dad said,

"Ahh...so you must be his girlfriend. We finally meet. He talked about you a lot." I'm shaking from head to toe. We sat down as I forced myself not to shake that much.

Finally, a doctor came out of the emergency room and said "Are you Na Jaemin's parents?" he asked.

"Yes, we are," Jaemin's parents answered.

"Jaemin has to go through surgery. His organs are damage."

Everything inside of me crushes as I heard what he said. His mom started to burst into tears. I hugged her as I started to cry as well.

"I'm sorry...It's my fault him in this situation right now," I said.

"Don't blame yourself for what was nearly an accident, it's not your fault?" Jaemin's dad said. His mom d my head as if I was one of her children and to be honest it felt nice.

I received a call from Soojung unnie. "If you excuse me, I have to take this call," I said to Jaemin's parents.

"Sure," they said.

"Yah! Baek Eun Na, seriously where on earth are you? We've been waiting for the both of you to come" Soojung unnie yelled through the phone. I tried to hold my tears but I just can't.

"Eun Na? What happened?" She asked with a worried voice. I paused for a while then said,

"Jaemin got in an accident by car and it's all my fault"

"What?!" She was surprised and I can hear the others in the background asking "What? What happen?"

"Are you okay?" She asked worriedly.

"I'm fine but Jaemin..."

"It's all going to be alright, okay. Calm down, my little girl. How it happens, it's not your fault." That was the sweetest thing I've heard from her in a very long time.

"Who are you with right now?"

"I'm with his parents."

"Take care, okay. Call me if something happens. We'll be there as soon as possible, okay?" she said caringly.

"Okay, thanks unnie." We hang up on each other. I really hope they come quickly. I am really in the need of a friend shoulder right now...TT.TT
