9 Chapter 9: My power

"What do you intend to do now?", Ellen was concerned about her friend.

"Train. I still have almos two days till the duel.", Peter was thinking what to do. "Did we finish the Fire incantantions?"

"Today is the last day. We'll learn Explosion.", she replied.

"Odin."

"Yes, master."

"Verify this Rune Sequence. Strength. Enhance. Explosion."

"Seems possible, master, but the target will suffer from immense pain and fatigue afterwards."

"Noted. Verify this one then. Enhance. Explosion."

"This one is more practicable, master. The Enhance will achieve its maximum potential only."

"PETER.", Ellen shouted on his ear.

"Ouch. Hi.", he notice that ignored her. "What's up?"

"Teacher will pass Explosion and initiate Thunder.", she explained.

"How are your incantantions doing?"

"I can perform some attacks already."

"I'm forgetting to train myself. Can you help me?", Peter noticed that his strength was only his familiars and not on magic itself.

"Of course.", she smiled.

He grasped the content about Explosion and Thunder. Thunder would wait in line. He gained some elemental affinities with his new companions but they were a little far from the Thunder element.

Guard Beetle had two non elemental affinity and one elemental. Armor, Strength and Wood. Wild Fox had only non elemental. Hearing, Sight, Smell, Taste and Touch. Fridda was a support type. The celestial dragon egg bonded with Peter and gave him his elemental affinity with Water and his Dragon Tongue.

"What do you want to learn?", Ellen said as they eat on the cafeteria.

"Hey.", Cecilia had come to join them. "What's good?"

"He needs teachers in magic.", the other girl ironic said.

"Oh. To the duel?", the wolf wizard asked.

"Yeah. I was focusing too much on my familiars and didn't practice magic at all."

"What you want to learn to fight against that Dwarf Dragon?", Ellen asked again.

"None of you know Water incantantions. So I'll go with Dragon Tongue.", he said it.

"Do you have a dragon?", Cecilia said it without thinking as she was treating her puppies.

"I'll do my best to learn it, ok?", Peter knew that learning was possible even without a dragon familiar but the process would be too slow.

"Are you sure? This will take too long till you can perform and the duel is tomorrow.", Ellen studied what was on her notebook made by him.

"Yes.", he said it.

"Okay. Lets go after the meal then.", she agreed knowing that he wouldn't use it on his duel.

"Good choice, master.", Ophichus said it to his master mind.

Peter was connected to a Water Dragon. So if he started to know the basic of Dragon Tongue he would receive the knowledge the egg had and with luck some Water affinity incantantions.

"And you Cecilia, can the boys fight?", he asked looking at the puppies.

"They can use a little lightning breath already.", she said proudly. "Don't you?", she cuddled them both.

"My liege."

"What is it, Rhynus?"

"You don't need to force yourself against that pair of troublemakers. I can do it alone both of them."

"Oh. I know, I know. I'm doing all of this for other purpose. So don't worry too much about it.", Peter told his familiar.

"Yes, my liege."

It was very much true. The Guard Beetle alone is strong to fight dragons on his own. So a Dwarf and a Wizard of their level wouldn't be a match for Rhynus who is almost a veteran fighter. But for what Peter wanted the boy needed to show off a little of his own power too.

"Did you thought in using the Wild Fox?", Cecilia asked as they walked to the Familiar class.

"I'll use the two of them.", he knew about this breach on the duel and would use it for two goals.

"Okay. I'll ask permission for the teacher and be back in no time.", Ellen left.

"Rhynus. Do you use magic?", the boy questioned himself after some self thoughts.

"Yes, my liege, but only with opponents stronger than me.", as his master listen he concluded that was a magic to close their power difference.

"Can you show me?"

"Of course, my liege.", the beetle started to emanate power till his shell started to be covered by tree bark.

"It's defensive magic but seems to amplify your strength too. What the greatest opponent you took alone with this magic?"

"A couple of Adult Dragons but I didn't kill them, my liege. The wrongdoer was me to trespass their lair."

"Okay. I have some ideas. Liste..."

"I'm back. Leave that for later and lets go.", Elle returned.

"Okay. I'll let you know later then, Rhynus."

"Yes, my liege."

"You don't get tired to call him this?", Fridda asked.

"At least I don't have restrictions on my doings, old fox.", the beetle said and followed his master.

"Shut up, stupid insect.", she walked short after.

"Okay. We'll begin with placing the Dragon Circle.", she explained the process to both of her friends and concluded. "The circle formed is from a color you have most affinity. Mine is Crimson as I'm Fire attuned. You can try now."

They started doing the process over and over for almost an hour till Cecilia achieve the fist step. Not so long after Peter did it but the truth was that he was holding a lot back to not claim their attention.

"Good. From my perspective. Cecilia has a Gold with little Blue spread across. So it must be Lightning and Thunder or even Water. Peter is White what presumes all round affinities."

"Good, good.", he said to himself. He didn't know for sure of this fact and confirming it will bring him great opportunities.

"You need to focus on the element you want to bring into reality, Peter. While you just need to think on the outcome, Cecilia."

Peter didn't achieve nothing from this point onward. He was really trying to bring water from the Dragon Circle and he started to analyze as wizard. It took to long to place the Dragon Tongue and needed a lot of time to use it effectively.

"Don't have a method to use this in a real battle?", he asked after coming to conclusions.

"Well.", Ellen looked at him. "Being a dragon tamer would help.", she dispelled the circle and with one hand a small circle appeared on her hand. "Fire.", on her words started to look like a dragon breath. "See?"

"Do not use as a tool, master. It a extension of your own body.", Ophichus said it to him.

Peter closed his eyes and his mind went to his room below his bed on a basket arranged to the egg. Then his mind expanded and all the knowledge were on his reach. Powerful to mundane spells all about the Celestial Dragon and another Water Dragons as well for a section that he couldn't reach. A pitch black place on a clear blue ocean of this little dragon mind.

"What is this, Peter?", Ellen screamed as she looked at him.

Both his hands were forming Dragon Tongues. But they weren't White as the big one. They were about a palm size and light blue like a no cloud sky. Coming from them and him lightnings as his mind was traveling on the powerful incantantions.

"Don't touch him.", Steven saw at distance and come to help. "He had an enlightment on Dragon Tongue.", he looked at his circle color. "It must be a Water Dragon Tongue."

"What do we do, professor?", Ellen was shocked with the display.

"Nothing. He is fine. Others might hurt themselves coming closer.", he explained. "Soon he'll be normal again.", as the professor finished the boy did so on the ocean mind of the egg. "See."

Peter opened his eyes and looked at the both Dragon Tongues circles on his hands. Only after this he noticed the people around him. He was a little surprised but he didn't know what happened. So he dispelled the magic and went ask Ellen.

"What happened here?"

"You. You started to discharge lightnings and was on a trance like posture."

"Oh.", he got attention after all. "Sorry.", as he said the puppies were biting his leg. "Hey, hey.", as he looked at them he noticed the static eletricity on his clothes. "Some snack, huh.", he petted them and they left the bite.

"I'm sorry for them, Peter.", Cecilia come to him.

"Don't be. They were after the static only and didn't really bite me.", he said as remembered that Luke was on his pocket. Taking a look at his familiar he saw only a good looking chick sleeping as a rock. "This one is full of surprises."

"Are you okay, son?", finally the teacher approached him.

"Yes, teacher, I'm fine as a incantantion line."

"Good.", he started to left. "Everyone the show ended and go back to training."

A little while after. The news reached the other duelist.

"So he knows Dragon Tongue? Maybe he was introduced before in his family.", he started to check documents on his desk. "His background still unknown? I need to take care in this duel or he even might win. Trevor, call my family I'll need my other familiar."
