10 Chapter 10: Dragons and dragons

"I finished that books finally.", Peter said going for the first class.

"You didn't took long, my liege."

"Actually, I did a little as I studied all Fire ones first and then needed to return for the other ones."

"Why did you study so many basics if in the end they converge?", Fridda said.

"I had this same doubt before but Ophichus said that I can implement my own magics with differents grounds."

"I never heard of a snake with this much knowledge.", she said it.

"Neither did I but this doesn't concern me.", Peter concluded.

"Why did you start bringing the child, my liege?"

"Everybody that knows a little of magic can put two and two together. So I won't hide anymore since it'll be a lot of trouble from now on. It's better having you to protect it."

"Now, I understand perfectly, my liege."

"Don't worry I care for the egg at least."

"Even if you didn't you would have to take care of it.", Peter said to Fridda.

"Shut up."

"This tongue of yours costed your situation.", Rhynus said.

"You too."

"Hey.", Ellen was waiting him on the same spot.

"Hey."

"Hey, Peter, isn't that dragon egg?", Felix asked.

"Yes.", Rhynus replied.

"So this was the ruckus generator yesterday."

"Dragon?"

"Yeah, little one.", the beetle answered the egg.

"It's not common to found a egg without his mother, is it?", the gold familiar went further.

"Ask no more, Felix.", Peter intervened.

"He is talking about the egg, isn't he?", his master asked.

"Don't worry about it."

"Okay. How is your magic going then?", she changed topic. "Today is the day."

"I know and I need to do some practices as well. Maybe using some higher incantantions."

"We are about to end the first week and you want to use Intermediate Magic?", she disbelieved him.

"Why not?", he insisted. "If one is truly capable nothing will stop this one."

"So you intend to use the Dragon Tongue to use higher spells.", she noticed.

"I don't have other way and even using two familiars wouldn't be sufficient."

"You tried to use on your room?", she said while they finding somewhere to sit.

"You want me to destroy the place? Of course I didn't practice on the room. I practice outside the dorm."

"Within everyone sight I suppose."

"There was no other choice.", he raised his shoulders. "Here.", he found a good seat.

"I heard some rumours about Kloutz."

"Who?"

"The senior who challenged you. It's his name."

"First time hearing. What about the rumours?"

"Some said that his family bought his another familiar last year but was sent to their house as he preferred to use his Dwarf Dragon."

"Do you think he would bring the familiar his family bought for the fight?"

"Be prepared for it. Losing a duel for he is more concern than for you."

"And that's why I accepted."

The class passed and the weekend was one class closer.

"Did you chose any optional class?", Peter asked Ellen and Cecilia while eating his lunch.

"Flight.", the dragon tamer said.

"Familiar tactics.", the wolf master said.

"Oho. These are pretty good but the list to large and I can decide.", he returned.

"Think in something you like and try it. There is no obligation in stay forever on the extra classes as there is on the normal ones.", Ellen said.

"Something I like?", he put some thought. "There was one of Spell Research and Inventions."

"I truly thought you would focus on yours familiars.", Cecilia said giving treats to the twins.

"I'm doing this on my own.", he explained.

"Will train the Dragon Tongue on the class today?", she said finishing feeding the puppies.

"Not in the way you think.", he replied.

"Master, I felt hostility.", Ophichus said.

"As do I, my liege."

"This is direct to you, master, and transfered to us as well.", Odin explained.

"What is this sensation?", Ellen was leaning on the table as she wasn't ok.

He turned to Cecilia who had the same symptoms and fastly he and his familiars left the cafeteria.

"Localize, Odin. This passed the limits."

"On the roof, master."

"Fly.", he casted a Rune on himself. "Stay put and protect the egg."

As he went up the view was clearer of a small dragon and his master on its back. It was his opponent and his familiar. But another familiar was floating around the senior.

"Odin, amplify my vision."

"Doing it, master."

The vision was more clear than before the creature floating was a Hatred Dragon. Their were know as one of the epitome dragons. Dragon were creatures lead by their emotions and this one had a great hatred in itself and shared with his master. Different from other dragons, this one is a support type as he amplifies his owner powers through the emotion but if the master feed it with hate his power can raise even more.

"This is a big problem.", Peter spoke to himself and approached his opponent. "Senior Kloutz is sure full of surprises."

"I thought about you using the Wild Fox and brought one to help myself."

"Senior is smart to think so highly of me."

"You won once but this will be it.", the little wizard serious said it.

"Don't overthink, senior. I only wish the best for our duel."

"We'll see.", he flew away with his dragons.

"Master, this dragon is a cursed one.", Ophichus said. "I don't want to fight a curse user."

"Explain it better."

"Probably, it was a Reborn project done with a bought familiar and then cursed to be loyal.", the snake said.

"So will ever be on a hatred cicle and always be on full power.", Peter deduced.

"Yes.", the little serpent sadly agreed.

"Killing one's familiar is death setence.", the boy started to think how to win. This was a danger situation and he wanted to help the familiar as well.

The last class of the week started and Peter was on profund meditation.

"This is his method to train?", Cecilia asked Ellen.

"He's looking for incantantions within his dragon knowledge. Felix teached me that as well and is more efficient than the normal practicing."

"So I'm having a hard time for not having a dragon?", she asked the dragon tamer.

"Yes but when you learn normal incantantions they are totally at your disposal on the Dragon Tongue."

"So why we don't have Dragon Tongue classes?"

"We have but on the Third Year only."

"One year before the graduation?"

"With the grade and classes made sense as you'll have enough incantantions and battle experience till there.", Ellen explained.

"But this also means that dragon wizards have a jump ahead from other wizards.", Cecilia concluded.

"Yes."

While this Peter was immerse on all the ocean of incantantions inside the egg. The travelled miles and miles inside of it looking endlessly for something that he could use. He travelled really fast but without lefting any knowledge without a look.

"Master, I can show you what you want.", Ophichus said.

"I think it will be a price for you to talk like this."

"It can destroy your magical circuits when used. So I hide it for you not use it."

"What can I achieve with it?"

"You would definitely win.", the snake said. "But you could end your career as a wizard as well."

"How is the probability of this happen?"

"99,98%."

"I get it.", he thought a little. "But show me."

Peter woke a little after this conversation. He knew he had the winning within his hands but too was his end as a wizard. The probability was against him this time around and was like every familiar of him knew about it.

"Any of you will take side?", he spoke to them.

"I will serve my liege don't matter if he's a wizard or no."

"We have the eternity together, don't we?", Fridda said.

"Odin?"

"I would feel bad for a promising mage as yourself to have magic torn out from you, master."

"Luke?"

"Fight?"

"Too little to care, huh. That's okay.", he petted the chick head.

"Talking to you familiars?", Ellen approached.

"A little and you?"

"Teaching Cecilia.", she pointed to the other girl. "She put more effort on learning Dragon Tongue as she discovered our third year classes."

"Can I talk to Felix alone?"

"With Felix?", she knew he could talk but why now. "Ok. I'll call him.", she went to help her friend and the dragon came.

"What is it?"

"The senior has a Hatred Dragon cursed to be loyal to him."

"Wow. That's a evil thing to do but yet powerful. The only thing I can imagine winning is...", the dragon looked at Peter's face. "Don't do it. It's only a match. It is not worth your value as a wizard."

"But I can put my value as a wizard above other's life."

"Even though is a Intermediate Magic will overcharge your magic circuits and you certainly won't be capable of using magic again in your life."

"It's the only way I can see now."

"It was never a question about you but those around you. You're a good person, Peter."
