2 What?? Shadow Element??

I quickly ate two mouthfuls of breakfast then left the house for school in a hurry.

"Walk faster, you don't want to be late otherwise the teacher will have a bad impression of you. Properly learn magic! Pay attention to the road and come home quickly after school!

My name is Zhang ling, 7 years old this year and living near the landlocked kingdom of Aixia's second-largest city, in a small village beside Senke city. Today is the day I have to tell the teacher what element of magic I chose. This will determine what class I'm in. (Each mage has major and minor magic elements. They will only have one major element which they concentrate on while they can have up to three minor magic elements to supplement their major element.) What should I choose…? Which magic is the safest?

Sunke City's Elementary Magic Academy is the city's biggest magic academy. The school where the Legendary god Zhang Gongwei studied.

I went to the Magic affinity checking room. The receptionist there was starring at me pathetically. I walked straight towards them and asked them that, "I want to check my magic affinity and level!! miss"

She took me inside a room. there was a big wall with a white crystal. she told me to go and keep my hand in the crystal. I walked towards the crystal and raised my hand hoping, I should have at least a low affinity of magic. but after keeping the hand on the stone, the crystal started to crack.

"What happened?? how could this be???" the receptionist got confused and started to panic.

She told me to wait in the room and she ran to the principal's office.

I am curious!! if the crystal breaks! what is the outcome? ahh..... it's hurting my head.

suddenly, the principal, Chia-Hao, who was a magister with lightning ability.

"huh? so you were the one, who broke the crystal huh??" he asked with a weird look.

"uh....yes! sir! I am so sorry, I don't have any idea what's going on?" I said.

He took a book out of his storage ring, "well then, keep your hand on this book!! concentrate the energy passing through your body towards the book!!...mmm..try it!!" he said.

I kept my hand on the book, I closed my eyes and started to feel the energy flowing through me. suddenly,

"Are you the one?" a mysterious Voice appeared. by that time I can't open my eyes and I was inside my consciousness.

"Tell me!! Are you the one, with the Shadow God's power??" it asked me again and again.

Shadow God? huh...what a weird question. I have never heard of this god before.

"huh?? I don't know senior!! you see...I don't understand this at all!!" I asked him.

"haha!! you are indeed the one with the Shadow god's power. don't worry, you are the one who has the supreme ability to surpass every power. the one with the God of Wrath, the Asura God's blessings. so, when the time comes, you will know who you really are. hahaha!!" the Mysterious voice said and suddenly left.

after a few seconds, a bluish light with black smoke appeared in front of me. it felt like, I have seen it somewhere before. but I can't tell where exactly, but, I had the feeling that it's related to me.

"Are you ready!!" the mysterious voice appeared again.

"uh..yeah! I guess!!" I sighed.

The light suddenly went into me. I felt like, I became powerful, my whole body feels different. it was wonderful.

I woke up,

"How do you feel?" The principal asked.

"I don't know, I saw a black smoke with a bluish light and it fused into me... that's all I remember for now!!" I said. I never said anything about the Shadow God stuff to him.

"Well, apparently you have legendary Shadow affinity. I must say, this affinity was only used by The Shadow God, who lived 1,000,000 years ago. legend has it after the disappearance of the Shadow God, the legacy of the Shadow will appear in the distant future. but I never really believed it until now. congratulations!!"

huh!! what the hell...I have a new affinity? it's the only one in the entire world? Are you kidding me, I mean, heck yeah!! I finally got an affinity.

"um..principal sir!! then how could I practice the affinity??" i asked him.

"mm..a great question!! at the time now!! you should train with the light magic teachers. the way of light training will improve your shadow affinity. at least that's what is given in the book!!" he said.

"book!!??, what book, that book is the book I awakened my affinity!!" I am confused.

"haha!! kid, this book is a Magic book that awakens one's affinity and displays the affinity's status and ablitilities. so, your abilities can only be used by training with a mage of light magic more as it's mentioned here!!" he said.

"well, thank you, sir!! I will get going now!!" I said and started to walk out of the room.

"all the best!! I hope you are going to be a great mage someday!!"

I returned to the class and said my affinity to the teacher.

"Shadow Affinity??? are you kidding me!!!" her excited state.

"Well, congratulations, now you know what you should do right? all the best!!" she said.

"Well then, all of the students who have selected their magic element, it's an early dismissal today. Tomorrow, you will all be divided into classes according to the magic element you have chosen.

Yea! Class is over!
