6 Chapter 5: The Academy

I woke up and got out of my bed, I went to the bathroom to brush my tooth and take a bath. I went out of the bathroom and wore my clothes. I went out of the room locking the door with a seal that my Grandfather taught me before heading to the livingroom.

On my way there I met with Kakashi who is living with us right now because his dad is on an important mission. He wore his usual outfit hiding everything below his nose so I deducted that he finished preparing himself. Today is kind of a special day for kids our age that aspire to become Shinobis, because we're starting the academy today.

What is the academy for Kakashi and I? I'm gonna keep it real... it's a place to loose time. Dad already checked our level and he said that we wouldn't lose in a fight against normal Chunnins. But if we do fight against experienced ones we might lose but not easily.

Instead of going to the academy if we spend our time practicing our growth would be even faster. Of course we have to go but we might just graduate as soon as possible, if I remember correctly in the manga Kakashi graduated when he was 5 or 6 years old. Right now we are six years old so I doubt that it was five or I just messed around with the plot, but I don't care about the plot anyway.

I went towards him and saluted

I : " yo how are you doing"

Kakashi : " I'm good, you ready for school "

I: " You know we don't need that shit but always talking about making friends "

Kakashi: " She's right though we don't have no friend " I was surprised to hear him say that, I mean yesterday we were still begging not to go to the academy

I: " for real... you ain't Kakashi transform back or I'll have to attack "I said sarcastically leaping back and taking my stance. He just rolled his eyes and advanced

We finished breakfast and my mom took us to the academy, when we arrived we saw many people with there parents waiting. The Academy is quite large and is comprised of several buildings which were erected over time. The building can be identified by the tree in front of it which has a swing on it and more so, by the giant sign with the kanji for fire on it.

We went inside and we went to the back of the crowd to wait for the Hokage to finish his speech. Every year he has to do a speech for new kids, he would do a long speech about the will of fire.

Basically the will of fire is an ideal rooting from Asura otsusuki's belief that love is the key to peace. The third Hokage states that the entire village is like a large family unit and every Konoha shinobi with the Will of Fire loves, believes, cherishes, and fights to protect the village, as previous generations had done before them. We didn't really listen to it even my mom didn't pay that much attention.

Instead I was looking around to see if there are some interesting people. I spotted Guy, Obito, Rin and some other people that took my interest. Among them there was a boy who was sitting alone in one of the corners, he didn't have no one with so he must be a loner. So I decided to use my Dôjutsu and this is what I saw

I was surprised by that guy, he was already strong for a academy student and his talent and willpower though. The talent and Willpower is something that I can see in others stats but not mine. I can't see mine because they're off the charts and can't be measured.

But having an 8/10 and 9/10 for respectively talent and willpower, if trained correctly this guy might be an important individual. I don't remember in the manga so he was dead before the start of the plot, maybe in the third shinobi war...

I was looking at him when my mother slapped me on the back of my head

Mom : " Don't look at others information without there permission "

I: " OUCH... that hurts you know " kakashi was laughing, We knows how strong my mother is we already spared with her one time. One vs two and we lost in like ten seconds.

The third finished his speech and we were told to go to our respective classes. Kakashi, Rin, Obito, Guy, Gou and I were on the same class. Classrooms in the Academy are large and have high ceilings, based on a theory that larger classrooms lead to expansive education, expanding even to the blackboard itself. In front of the blackboard is a podium, situated far from the students' desks and put in a position where the teacher can view everyone at once.

I took my seat in between Kakashi and Rin

I: " yo, my name is Chikao and this my best friend Kakashi, nice to meet you "

Rin: " hello... my name is Rin nice to meet you too..."

After introducing ourselves we discussed a little bit about trivial things, I don't like small talks but at least to befriend a girl you gotta do that since they won't open themselves easily.

The teacher came inside the classroom and told us to calm down, after everyone was quiet he started to explain us what we're gonna learn in the academy. He said that we will learn about different subjects like basic Mathematics, History, Geography and things like that.

He also said that we will learn abou Taijutsu, Ninjutsu and Genjutsu.

Taijutsu classes serve as the Ninja Academy's equivalent physical education. In taijutsu class, students are engaged in physical activities to help train their bodies and develop their stamina. Sparring is common.

Ninjutsu classes provide the bulk of what potential ninja learn at the Academy. Students are taught about chakra, how to manipulate it and use hand seals and ultimately how to use techniques such as the [ Transformation technique ] and the [ Clone technique ].

Genjutsu classes are focused less on how to create illusions and more on how they work. Students are taught how to determine if they are trapped in a genjutsu, and then how to release themselves from it.

He didn't start lectures today so after maki g us introduce ourselves in front of the class and explained about our curriculums he let us go home. And that's how my first day at the academy went.
