Harry sat on his bed and looked at the text message on his phone, he wasn't surprised in the slightest as he knew that something was going on already.

'I guess it's a good thing, I was planning to break up already so I'm glad I don't have to deal with that anymore.'

It was a text from his girlfriend Olivia, they had been dating since their first year of university and it had been 3 years now. During the last couple of months he had felt like something was weird but he was too busy with work and school to deal with it, she used to answer his texts straight away but recently she would leave him on seen for hours, at the peak of their relationship she used to send the first and last message of the day but she had stopped doing that.

He had also felt like he was being cheated on but he really didn't care as he had given up on this relationship the moment he felt that she was loosing interest, he simply sent "Ok." as a reply and put his phone down on the coffee table.

He had something more urgent and interesting to deal with, in front of him a light blue holographic screen had appeared, there was a loading bar slowly charging up to 100% on it.

'There's no way, this is the classic system trope from the novels I read right ?'

He was surprised, he never expected that this would happen in real life and even less to him, he patiently waited and a couple of minutes later it finally reached 100%.

He thought with expectation, he had already tried waking himself up but the pain was real, he wasn't a drug user so he had no doubt that this wasn't a hallucination, he even went to the bathroom and opened the shower faucet, after splashing his head with cold water to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

Of course he chose yes, from his knowledge there were different types of systems, since he was living on the green planet and there was nothing such as super heroes or cultivation masters he would be annoyed if he was awarded a system that made him a super human.

Harry couldn't stop smiling at this point, this was exactly the type of system that he loved the most when reading novels, it was little risk, high reward and very satisfying to read.

Now he wasn't reading it however but living that fantasy, especially now that his life was at it's lowest he was ecstatic to receive this system.

'System, is there a newbie gift pack?'

He asked as he knew that there was almost always one, the system didn't disappoint once again.

He looked on as a red and yellow gift pack wrapped in rose ribbons spun on the holographic screen before exploding in bronze colored rays.

'Oh there are grades to the rewards and bronze should be the lowest but it's already plentiful !'

As he thought of that a second gift box appeared on the screen, it spun for a couple of seconds before exploding once again but the rays this time were silver in color.

Harry looked at the old ran down apartment around him and smiled in contentment, he could finally live in a better environment after all these years. He stood up, opened the window and lit up a cigarette while his eyes kept glued on the holographic screen.

A third gift box spun and exploded into silver rays of light.

The grading made Harry ponder, he lived in a big city so the prices of housing were sky high, a simple apartment cost more or less 400.000$ depending on the neighborhood, he assumed that a penthouse would cost at least 2 million dollars so he was surprised that the coffee shop would be in the same range of prices.

'System how is the grading of the rewards done ?'

Of course Harry was familiar with the Pagani brand and knew that they are a hypercar exclusive car brand, what he didn't expect was the gold grade reward. That meant that the car was more expensive than the penthouse !

Since he wasn't familiar he decided to check it out, he unlocked his old phone and typed the name of the car in the search engine, what he saw made his jaw drop, this crazy car was worth close to 7.5 million dollars !

He had never seen this model before but he fell in love with it on the spot, it was a recent model that had been released a year prior in 2022 but the style was in line with the 1960's Italian sports cars. The interior had a steampunky design, that complemented the retro style of the car.

Harry couldn't help but wonder what about this car justifies such a price so he looked at it's specs and was once again shocked, it had a V12 twin turbo engine, 829 horse power and could reach 100 kilometers per hour in barely 2.5 seconds !

There was another thing that justified this price, this car was one of 5 in the whole world !

'This is crazy…'

Harry's breathing had became erratic, after taking awhile to calm down he heard his phone vibrating on the old wooden coffee table, he had thrown it away after checking out the car.

He picked it up and it was a notification from his bank app.

Although he had been freaking out earlier due to the rewards of the system he was brought back to reality by this notification, this meant that everything was real ! Now all the wanted was to move to his new penthouse and try his new car !
