Am I Devil?

"A new day, a new beginning, I wonder what does fate have in store for me today." Ryuu walked inside the academy, but with a weaker spirit than usual. He might have kind of screwed up, this realisation hit him upon reaching home.

It was just yesterday, after the meeting with the Satan ( Devil King ), he was on his way back home when he had a weird feeling as if someone is following him. He checked his surroundings again and again, was an complete guard but nothing happened.

He reached home normally, completely unscathed, so decided to give on that feeling as he believed, he was just being paranoid. He cooked himself a meal, enjoyed it to his heart's content and then went to take a nice bath before bed.

It was at time, when he was soaking in the bath, it occured to him. The devils have familiars, and various other means to scan thier areas, which are impossible to be deducted by anyone, there might be ways to prevent it but atleast a human can't.

He was now sure, Sirzechs was on to him, he was going to on surveillance 24X7 till he confirms his words. He made a bold statement that his sister, Rias would get into trouble with the Church and gain a new peerage member soon.

Of course, he was talking about Asia, and the incident with Raynare. Even though, he is safe and his life is not in any danger by just being watched but it screws up his plans.

He was planning on meeting a few people and doing some things in the shadows, which would come handy later on. Now, since Sirzechs is watching him, he can't take suspicious steps and get on his bad side after all that he said.

He might have put his plan on hold for now, especially the plan for Rias. Since the anime plot has started, she must have slept with Issei to help him heal his wounds, that kind of sucks. I won't completely cockblock him, but I can't let her have fun with the girls I like.

"No point dwelling on it for now, guess just have to wait and see." He put a end to his train of thoughts and headed towards his classroom, he was greeted by a casual scene of girls and boys chatting among themselves, not paying any heed to anyone, he went towards his seat.

"Sorry dude for leaving you behind all on your own yesterday, as an apology, come with after school, I got the new recording of Magical Girl Milky Spirals, she is looking really sexy in this."

Ryuu was approached by the perverted trio with a dvd in hand which actually disgusted him. He understood what they mean when they brought that dvd and just thinking about it, makes him uncomfortable.

"What the actual hell, I am not gonna join you guys to jack off, like that shit is done alone, at least not with dudes." How can they even propose something so stupid as that, it's just straight up weird.

"Didn't you love her a lot before, what's wrong buddy?" Motohama retorted with visible confusion to which Ryuu felt even more weird. He really doesn't want to believe that he did something like this earlier with them.

"It's in the past, I have my eyes on someone else now, so please don't bring it up again." He calmed himself down and got back in his character, not wanting to create unnecessary scene, first thing in the morning.

The trio let him alone and sat down, though he figured Issei was here for a completely different reasons, and he had a good idea on what he wanted to say. He must be confused after the events which unfolded yesterday.

The teacher came in not too long after, and the class began normally. After a long time, all the classes ended and it was time for recess, Issei approached and asked Ryuu out to meet him on the roof top. The latter was already expecting this so immediately agreed to meet him.

"So umm... you know, I am a devil..." Issei without wasting any time announced his real identity which was a bit surprising for Ryuu but not totally out his expectations.

"I knew, if you wonder how I know then, that's something even I don't know." Ryuu acted oblivious, he really can't tell him now that he knows everything, now can he?

Issei and Ryuu had a long discussion which included mostly they questioning each other. The talk was pretty meaningless for Ryuu as he knew most of the stuff already, the only thing he would interesting was Rias looked tired upon his arrival.

He is guessing, after his talks with Sirzechs, he must questioned his sister to confirm if I am manuplating her in any way, which I am not of course.

The things are looking decent for now, hopefully the event with Asia occurs soon so that he would freed from the surveillance and move on with his plan.

After the recess ended, they both went back to class, and the classes continued for the rest of the day. The day was pretty uneventful in itself, he was expecting Rias or her peerage to get in touch with him maybe, but nothing of that sort happened.

As things are progressing, he doesn't have much room to do anything so it would be best jog his memory and try to think what he would need to do in future till Sirzechs agrees to his request.

"I suppose, I should keep an eye on Issei, don't want to miss his encounters." Ryuu started following Issei with that thought on his devil contracts and followed him around.

It wasn't too long after that the event finally began, Issei got in touch with Asia Argento after five days since he started tailing him. He watched his encounter with Raynare from a distance as he can't risk dying here.

"Sirzechs should have seen that also, he must make an appearance soon." He knew that he was being tailed too all this while, he just grew kind of used to that feeling of being watched at this point.

He fled the scene and arrived home, now he just needs to wait for Issei's next summon, it should take him to meet Freed in that house and to the church at the same night.

As he was getting excited and planning his negotiations with Ajuka, a magical circle flared up behind him, and a person stepped out. He wasn't surprised as he was already waiting for the said person.

"Speak of the Devil and he is here. I assume you will keep your words, the great devil King, Sirzechs." The person called out to had an interesting expression as he was inspecting Ryuu, trying to figure out something.

"No need to worry about that, I have already informed my friend. If everything goes according to how you explained, we can go meet him tonight." Sirzechs calmly replied to his provoking words.

The two teamed up and started tailing Issei when he got summouned, that was something he didn't knew but Sirzechs told him. They watched the entire scene unfold, while hiding in the shadows.

Ryuu was worried that they would find him but how can they get par the barrier set up by the Satan himself. Rias' peerage came back not too long after and as shown in the anime, had an advantage, but Freed and Raynare managed to flee with Asia in time.

They also left the scene with them and started following Issei from the shadows, as expected, he walked towards the church to save Asia from Raynare.

They were sitting on top of the church, watching everything. Koneko and Kiba came in to back Issei up against the group of fallen angels. The entire thing went the same as it went in anime, the only difference being it ended way earlier as Sirzechs flared up his aura a little bit to make the fallen angels loose their ground.

Raynare acted as a two faced girl, as shown in anime and Issei wasn't able to decide on whether to kill her or spare her. As he was wondering, Rias and Akeno came after finishing their battle and helped Issei make the decision.

The fight wrapped up, Rias used her Bishop piece and reincarnated her as a member of her peerage, and she also got her sacred gear back from Raynare. Everything went well, and Sirzechs enjoyed the show before fleeing the scene with Ryuu with a magical circle.

"I think I missed hear you, can you repeat?"

A voice sounded clearly to everyone in a quiet place which seemed isolated. There wasn't a single soul around except the people participating in the conversation.

It doesn't matter, where you look, it's all covered with darkness, which shows no sign of ending. Even though, in this darkness, surprisingly, there was proper arrangements for sitting.

"King Piece!" The silence was broke off by a kid who looked not more than 18, he was sitting next to guy with crimson hairs with an serious expression.

The talks weren't this serious in the beginning, but the mention of two words, changed everything, the atmosphere itself surrounding them seemed heavy enough to crush anyone.

Even against this pressure, the young boy with black hair, didn't waver a bit. Ryuu stood strong, not wanting to back off and show his fear a single bit even though they might have already figured out his state.

"I will only ask this once, how do you know about them?" Ajuka was dead serious when asking this question, after all it was a taboo topic which they were discussing, the king piece.

"Only a fool will reveal it's cards, I know you created 12 king pieces in total, and managed to collect 9 of them back and are still searching for the remaining three."

Ryuu calmly stated the facts, even though he seemed composed on the front, you would be dead wrong to think it's the reality. The demonic power soaring around is taking a toll on his body as in the end, he is plain human being.

"I can give you information on the last three pieces in exchange for something, but if you don't cool down your aura, you won't have a chance to get your hands on the information."

Ryuu completely aware of his situation, make the important point, making the deadly auras to vanish as if there was never a pressure here to begin with. Ajuka showed an rare expression of interest but quickly hid it, but it couldn't escape his attention and now he knew, he does stand a chance.

"Speak, what are your terms, I suggest you think carefully making your demands."

Ajuka reminded that he doesn't have room for negotiations and tried to intimidate him. Ryuu was well aware of these tricks and knew how to handle the talks when he has an upper hand, he didn't went through hell in his previous life for nothing.

"It's simple, I want to have my own peerage and your help in order to get my first two peerage members."

After hearing his demands, a expression relief formed on their faces as his demand wasn't too special or difficult for them to accept.

"I have no problems with that, I would love to welcome a new devil. There is only a slight problem, you need to be atleast a high class devil first, in order to be recognized by my evil piece system, so it's going to take some time."

Ryuu was expecting this reply and he smirked hearing the exact words from Ajuka. He wasn't going to give this important information in return for such a dumb demand after all.

"I know that, but I want to have my own peerage, right now. This is why, I want you to give one of the king pieces while reincarnating me."

His words in the beginning made them confused but towards the later half, the bomb was dropped, stating his real demand. Ajuka wasn't expecting this clearly and was displeased.

Ajuka wasn't going to miss the opportunity to retrieve the last three king pieces but at the same time he wasn't sure about giving away one of the pieces to someone else. He didn't knew why, but he had an omnious feeling about giving this kid one of the evil king pieces.

Even though this deal wasn't too bad for him as the kid wasn't someone who could threaten them but at the same time, he felt like he was making a deal with the Satan himself, even though he himself was the Satan.

Ajuka tried valuing the pros and cons of the deal and couldn't find anything wrong with following this deal, but he still couldn't pin point the omnious feeling he was having.

"Fine, I accept your terms and I hope that you didn't lie to me or it isn't going to end well to cheat a Satan, that would be your biggest regret."

Ajuka warned him one last time before accepting his deal, Sirzechs watched this exchange silently from start to end as he was confident and trusted his friend, when it came to making important decisions like this one.

Ryuu couldn't hide his excitement considering how well this exchange went, he got what he wanted, just for the information on the last three king pieces. He really couldn't wait to receive the king piece now and mark the beginning of his master plan.

Also if you are wondering if this would make him op or not, then you will be disappointed with his strength in the next chapter. I will give a proper explaination on how the piece works and why his strength didn't rise much so don't drop thinking I am making my mc too op.

My aim is to make a smart protagonist with realistic ideas not some op mc who gets too cocky and tries to literally become some kind of God.
