I felt fear spike through me. My parameters were about to increase. IN FRONT OF LOKI. I squeezed my eyes shut and waited for the explosion I knew would come. When nothing happened, I peeked an eye open to look at the display in front of me.

Nothing had changed.

Confused, I switched to the unedited version of my boards. They had increased there, but not in the viewed version.

System: {I took the liberty of intercepting the changes. You're welcome.}

I blew so many digital kisses at system that I almost missed the conversation behind me.

Me:'System I love you.'

System let out a chirping that sounded like a laugh before prodding me to pay attention to my surroundings. The light on my back was dulling and I vaguely heard Loki telling me I could return my shirt.

Loki: Alright, Aelita. It seems you're in need of some leveling up.

Some more rustling, another cold drop, and more warmth on my back. Tension seemed to leak from my neck and shoulders as Loki explained that too much stress on a level without leveling up was bad for your body.

A prompt flashed before me, confirming her words and informing me of my level increase.

After that, Loki took a piece of parchment and pressed it against my back. After the parchment finishing glowing, she took it off my back then handed it to me. Reading the parchment, I was just now getting a glimpse at what a proper status board should look like.

Deciding that it was better to look at the status board that the system shows, I decide to look at the system provided one while staring at the one on the paper.

Finished with my reading, I handed the parchment back to Loki. She smiled brightly at me as she accepted it.

Loki: With this, you are now officially in the familia. Welcome Aelita Stone.

I bowed slightly to her, relieved everything went as planned.

Me: Thank you Loki-sama.

She gestured over to one of the two before speaking lowly to them and sending them out to the door.

Loki: They are going to see about securing you a room here in the house now that you are one of us. Is there anything you need moved here, or any special accommodations you need?

I hesitated for a moment before inspiration struck me. I activated my Charm skill, turning it onto a medium effectivity to avoid suspicina

Me: There is one request... May I have my own room?

Loki looked thoughtful, and I could almost see the charm working its way under her skin. She opened her mouth to answer before Riveira spoke up.

Riveira: I'm not sure that's the best idea, we do have a lot of members after all, and we normally do two people to a room at least.

A smirk crossed my face and I raised an eyebrow.

Me: I do have a very big bed to place in there, and while it may not be the same, I would be very happy to share my heavenly bed with Loki-sama anytime she wishes.

At that, Riveira's face turned a bright red and Loki's eyebrows shot up in surprise. She let out a loud laugh.

Loki: You've got guts, Aelita. I like you. And I might just take you up on that offer. You can have your own room unless we need it for anyone else.

And like that, my time in the Loki familia began.
